  4. Hi Guys ...a great young mate of mine had his White Stagea number plate S747-ATB with black rims and big exhaust stolen from Woolies Car park in Victor Harbour tonight...SAPOL have seen it in Christies Beach but couldn't catch it. PLEASE give me a buzz on 0431 396 417 if u see it. He is gutted !!! Thanks OLD Mark
  5. Just got home...wonderful turnout, nice to see some new faces & rides, great cruise route & luch'n. All in all a very enjoyable day. Thanks to Ryan & Jason for their efforts ! It has certainly become a family friendly club....it is wonderful to see all the kids. OLD Jules & Mark
  6. Need to lock some stuff down for early this Sundayam...realise u may not be finalised with the details yet ...but any idea of the start time ? 10am or 11am? Wanna make sure i have time to get there. "the OLD fella"
  7. Is the Bay to Birdwood on this Sunday ? ...if so we need to stay well away from the route "the OLD fella"
  8. Indeed Aaron...he does different "levels" of the shift kit ranging from softer gear changes to "slamming" into gear for high performance & drag cars. I am OLD & just wanted the "softest" change....now there is immediate, no flarring changes & the box is immediately receptive to the increase & decrease in revs...it is how it responds rather than the type of response that changes. HOWEVER, when I change over to manual control on the steering wheel, it feels just like a manual box change...unreal ! It actually feels like I have a bigger turbo kicking it...the immediate gear change response is that good...all for $400 "the OLD fella"
  9. After having some serious trans perfomance issues, it was found to be travelling in "safe mode" ie 3rd & reverse gear only so I followed the recommendation of some SA forum members & took my baby to Michael @ MV Perfomance Automatics ...it required a shift solenoid set to fix the non-selecting gear problem & I agreed to a shift "improver kit" (quick shift) as well. It cost $390 for the Shift Solenoid Set (that Nissans wanted almost $900 for) & $350 for the Shift Improver Kit + the trans fluid & gaskets etc $75. Now I am a seriously OLD fella but far out, I can not believe the extraordinary difference in it's performance !! it is frigg'n AWESOME !!!!.... it is a totally different car. If you have not put a quick shift in your auto yet, do it ! It is the best $400 you will ever spend. OLD Mark
  10. This "old" fella is no mechanic, I have checked the trans fluid level & any leaks...all is good....& I always warm my 1999/2000 RS4 before driving. BUT when the temp gauge is less than "half way" she is a bitch to drive in 1st gear.....sooooooo slow to take off....drags it's arse like you wouldn't believe BUT once it's warm it fly's in all gears ! Is it a winter issue cause in summer, there is no issue ?? "a confused old fella"
