Tyres Bridgestone Potenza Giii (2)
my_gtr32 replied to my_gtr32's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Hi, 20% tread, NO. New tyres usualy have 8 to 10mm tread when new. Therefore these tyres have over 50% tread left. As I said above, they grip well. They came off a gtr with 200+ RwKW and performed well. At this price, they are good value and should last you a while. Take a look at the Bridgestone web site for more information. These are quality performance tyres, directional tread patern and made in Japan. -

WTF? No not rims, just two tyres. is that what you mean? -
Hi, yeah I have the same problem. My gtr produced just over 14 PSI, had the turbos rebuilt, now only 12 PSI?? Replaced actuators, no difference. I also have both restrictors removed??? I would like to know what boost the turbos are actually producing. Is it only 12PSI or is there a leak and only 12 gets to the manafold but the turbos are working harder. Remember the boost guage reads manafold presssure not turbo housing pressure. I'm still working on the problem. The workshop who did the turbos seem to have done a good job. Everything refitted correctly and nice and tight. <_<

There's a guide in the tutorial section that may help in future. Also I found this guide ages ago that is very useful for all GTR owners for changing the engine oil. Take a look... RB26DETT_Oil_filter_removal_and_Engine_oil_replacement.doc

Front Callipers Gtr / Gtst The Same?
my_gtr32 replied to my_gtr32's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
You mean like this for a R32 GTR? And a R33 like this? Is that wright? -
Sydneykid (Gary) and Jamex Australia, Thanks for your efforts setting up this group buy and the research done to acheive an excellent balanced package for street use. I had the complete kit installed last week at Centreline and my car feels so much better. Its firm but forgiving, very suited to our dodgy roads in Melbourne. Chris at Centreline also did a wonderful job. He's a great guy to deal with and is happy to take time out and explain all you need to know about the work carried out. Very happy with the results!

Does anyone know the part numbers for R32 gtr front callipers? Are there any markings on them to confirm this? -
Fitting Suspension In Melbourne
my_gtr32 posted a topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Just had the Whiteline / Bilstein suspension kit fitted to my r32 gtr at Centreline. I must say Chris does a gret job fo a fair price. He took the time to inspect all the parts I supplied and listened to what I wanted done. Upon returning he put the car back on the hoist and explained everything they did. Excellent service and couldn't be happier. If you're in Melbourne and are looking for a expert suspension workshop, then you can't go past Centreline. Also SidneyKid, thanks for your time and advise. My gtr feels soooo much better with the Whiteline / Bilstein suspension pakage. -

You have PM. -
No good. Looks like it needs to be a R32 GTR. Mounting brackets are different. Thanks anyway

Thanks, I'll call you

Hi, I'm in Melbourne and need a R32 ecu. I just need the front and rear covers really. So if you have one lying around, let me know. ***Edit, I think it needs to be a r32 GTR ecu. Mounting brackets are different for a RB20 R32. Anyone?

Interested, how much and where are you?. I am currently talking to Trevor at CES at the moment, as their comp pipes are an option. he wants $1500 for them in mild steel. I would also be interested in a group buy but I need to get the pipes soon though. Trevor makes them up once ordered and doesn't have them on the shelf.

Great info. Thanks for that. Everytime I did a search I got something like 60 pages. Mostly about RB25. Need to learn how to use the search engine better.

Looking at replacing my standard ceramic turbos on a R32 GTR. One option is to high flow current turbos and fit steel wheels and 360 degree thrust bearings. Or what? There are so many to choose from. I am after somewhere around 250 to 270rwkw. So will continue using low mount twins and internal wastegates GTSS GT2510, 2530. Did a search and found lots of info for gts t's. What do you use on a GTR?

Got mine this morning. Can't wait to set it up. Thanks for organising the group buy.

Thanks for the info. I had a look last night, that hose in imposible to get to. The funny thing is, I can feel a buldge in the pipe at the plenum end. It's hard if I squeze on the pipe, so I think it is still in place. Are there any more restrictors in the boostlines? I have two olives spare so they must have come from somewhere. They were removed when a Powerchip was installed. I know a guy who has a complete gtr engine currently sitting on a pallet in his garage. I will take a close look on Monday.

Hi, I am confused. My r32 gtr has the restictor olives removed when I bought the car. They came to me in a plastic bag. I know one goes in the hose with the yellow band fitted to the boost controller, but where the hell does the second one go. I have two olives in the bag. I have never heard any mention of a second one. Most guys simply remove the one near the boost controller and get 1 Bar boost. My gtr is making slightly more than 1 Bar and getting boost creep high in the rev range with standard ceramic turbos! Not good. Can anyone tell me where the other olive goes. I want to try and refit it and see if that drops the boost a bit. Thanks

Hi, There's a wrecker in Melbourne with a R32 Gtr shell. No interior and all running gear has been removed from car due to importation regs. Body is not damaged but needs front guards and bonnet. I think he wants $5500 for shell and $6k for engine, gearbox, etc. Call Paul at Oakleigh Mechanical Repairs on 03 9568 4887
