  1. I paid $26k for my XR6T, have spent less than $3,500 and have near 350rwkw on 10psi boost. Bring you're under $30,000 GTR/Supra all up and we'll see who wins, and hell, I'll even bring my family along.
  2. Awesome. Yet dissapointing. I bet you can't register it for the street.
  3. If you want to laugh at 318rwkw for just over $30k at 6psi of boost (including cars purchase price) then sure go ahead, but for your boost remark I don't know what you're trying to say but I think you're implying something about my engine capacity by using the term 2.6L. For every 14 pounds of boost you run, you are gaining 1.2L over my engine capacity. So that means for every 14psi boost you run, you're doubling it, making it a 5.2L. So yes even though you're thinking 'what bullshit, join the 6L club', before you know it, you've already joined it. So yes, boost does mean something for anyone who knows a little about cars, not people who know about rooting dodgy chicks. And by the way (whoever is questioning my power levels), yes I have increased my torque by over 100%, and my power by a little closer to 85% than 35%. Mostly tuning and not bolt on grunt has granted me this huge torque figure, unfortunately all this power is no good if you can't put it down to the road which is an issue for me, so I've turned the initial torque down in order to keep it to the road. But I squeezed open the throttle the other day to about 140kmh then nailed it and still broke traction (so if you're jealous of this torque figure, don't be). If you're still thinking this is bullshit, then tell me and I'll start from the basics about how a chassis dynamometer works. BTW, all of the power figures I use are at the wheels.
  4. Hey guys, I'm back on. Did anyone happen to go to the Adelaide Autosalon this weekend? I dropped it from 14psi down to factory (6psi) and still made 318kW. This may sound strange but if you're wondering why I didn't enter my demo car here's the reason: These guys have spend thousands on their cars and driven interstate etc. just so they could be a part of Autosalon. If I just entered my demo car around the back then it wouldn't be entirely fair would it? (Seeming as the XR6T was the most powerful there which surprised me). It just wouldn't be right to waltz up and blow them away for no reason, a nice Pulsar with GTR running gear made 304 but that was the closest. Did anyone see it on the dyno?
  5. That's why I had to get things stirred up, so everyone would wan't to come and gang up on the Ford guy. Can't you see how this works? But you just had to push me to the edge didn't ya? The fact is I know Japanese cars are better than Australian cars, I acted like a real dumbass on this thread, huh. I'm actually a diagnostics technician and almost couldn't bring myself to say some of the false things I said. The Falcon is my demo car, you can see it on the dyno at Autosalon tommorow and Sunday in Adelaide, once everyone stops modifying the XR6T I'll get something that people have just started to modify. The heated discussion was fun but it had to come to an end sometime. If anyone wants to take over my Falcon defending position on this forum then feel free, but otherwise Sciby can close this thread and remove me from the members list (the forum). Seeya guys, hope you had fun with this thread. You're all not bad, and all of your points were legitimate, I just wanted to be argumentative. No hard feelings.
  6. I hate idiots like that, they don't just drive Holden's and Ford's though. I am commonly mistaken for a Ford driver with an 'I am invincible' attitude. You couldn't be further from the truth. Once I get tired of my car, I'm going to by an EVO VIII. Great little cars, superb handling and traction and relatively good acceleration standard. The Typhoon isn't that quick, It actually doesn't appeal to me, Ford's attempt at a luxury/performance car (aswell as being overpriced) isn't my cup of tea. Theres one thing I hate about my car though, it's just no fun until you get traction. Most Ford bogans would love to just sit there and spin the wheels, not me, I'm just sick of it. So there, I'm making an effort at balanced discussion by telling you what I hate about my Ford and heres some more things: V8 Supercars are shitboxes in my opinion, some of the heaviest touring cars in the world are just no fun to watch. Now the JGTC, that is real racing. When heaps of people say they can wind 700hp-800hp out of the new Ford or Holden, who really cares? While the Japs are making half the power, theyre still crapping all over the Australians. And as for build quality, don't get me started, it's still a Ford. The door trims fall apart, the overall quality of the interior isn't great either (not as bad as a Holden though), I hate the fact that being such a heavy car brake dust is always coating the rims in it. If theres anything you'll notice between an XR6T and an Evo/Skyline etc. is that the Ford doesn't inspire confidence. I've rushed this and may have missed some things but at least you've heard me bag my own car. Happy?
  7. This is pretty laughable. Geez you guys are wankers... Are you trying to tell me my power should be higher than my torque?
  8. Some respectable comments but let me point a few things out: #1: The Typhoon is heavier because of the premium package you get, heavier rear seats, large bodykit sends weight up marginally, larger wheels and more of a luxury car than the XR6T. #2: You sound as if your saying two different drivers experimented in this event, one must have been a better driver than the other, becuase it's impossible for both drivers to have exactly the same capabilities. #3: I've also read in a Motor magazine (correct me if I'm wrong), that the Typhoon takes 6.1sec to propel itself from naught to 100km/h, whereas the XR6T takes 5.9 seconds to do this. Same driver. #4: This is an interesting comparo (maybe it should be XR6T vs. 350Z?) so no outright arsehandings can take place here. With my extent of modifications I guarantee you I will rape the hell out of a 350Z, and when it rocks up to the finish line, I'll be waiting to shit all over it again. Good points though.
  9. #1: (For everyone) A 500hP GTR did not win Targa Tasmania in 2004, Jim Richards did in his Porsche. #2: Why is it so diffcult to believe I beat a GTR around a track? #3: I love the Skylines but with everyone loving them aswell I didn't want to be a sheep, so I chose something individual to buy. #4: It isn't as dirty, smelly, shitty or slow as your making it out to be. #5: I know why you're taking stabs at me (because I'm trying to match an Australian built car to a Japanese one), but why do I need proof about everything I say? #6: Just give me a break will you guys? Where's your proof that I'm bullshitting?
  10. How exactly did you come to that conclusion? It intrigues me somewhat, what are you trying to tell us?
  11. I don't really know what you mean by illiterate, because we are not really drawing pictures for each other to interpret, but by using the word moronic I think you just put your illiterate seal of approval on it mate, LOL. Seeya later Homer.
  12. What is this point you speak of? What have I missed? I don't need to prove anything to you, what is your problem? How are your childish statements and pointless arguments helping at all and how are you still on this forum? Who do you think you are and why are you arguing with me? How do you come to the conclusion that I'm bullshitting? And about what? I hate your character, and you are in fact a dick head. I can't understand how you are not banned from this forum because you are registered for the sole purpose of stirring up shit, so f**k you and don't worry about me replying to anything else you have to say that is negative, in bad taste or childish because it just makes me angry, and when that happens we don't have a very positive forum.
  13. Please don't patronise me. You have no idea... If anyone has any more information on a chassis dynamometer than I have already obtained, point me in the way of this phenomenal genius. That was the nicest way to put it, don't you worry about how I've obtained these power figures mate, I assure you I know what I'm doing.
  14. You make me sick wanker. Haha. I can't believe you just said you could beat a professional driver in two even cars. If you look out the window over there, there goes all your credibility, and my care factor.
  15. Thanks mate, finally someone who's not just here to stir up shit. All of these facts you've pointed out could be quite true, I'd also like to point out the fact to everyone else that a standard XR6T does feel extremely doey hopping out of mine, let me get that cleared up. So if everyone on here thinks that for a 1700kg family car that does a low 14 sec 1/4 mile out of the box isn't worth spitting on, then good on them. And the guy that reckons he could beat Craig Lowndes in an XR6T if he was in a 350Z, I am truly speechless. If you think you can evenly match up a couple of cars with a professional driver in one and you in the other, and you yourself win! Haha, that shits me to tears, it honestly does. Who do you think you are? You only way you could win that race is not by winning, but by stopping him from finishing. You are absolutely appauling and as I was saying before, I don't know who you think you are but you're noone special to me and your stupid and ridiculous comments are just a bit to immature for OUR FORUMS.
  16. I think it might have been a stupid thing to start this thread, I don't know how they could source it but I read somewhere in a magazine the other day that the Police generally hang out on the Hot4's vehicle modification site and proceed to hunting modified cars down and issuing them defect stickers. It's a bit different but maybe Driver is right it's probably better for safety reasons we don't go on any further, if the majority of people disagree with me then by all means keep posting, but if the administrator sees fit then remove this thread please.
  17. Now I didn't see any point replying to your message but I just thought I 'd bring this up, you are in fact pregidous about what people you want to listen to depending on what car they drive. If I had myself a GTR I'm sure my credibility would last alot longer than you're giving me because I have something in common with you (that I would be a Japanese car enthusiast), but because I'm voicing my opinion about how a car behaves, how nice it is to drive, the plus sides of buying this car that is in fact built in Australia you wan't to hear nothing of it, because in your world nothing could ever rival your Japanese built cars. Plus, I don't really give two shits about my credibility in your books becuase all up you seem like a closed minded wanker. <_<
  18. I was just wondering (because their don't seem to be any interesting threads going at the moment, no offence to thread starters) if anyone want's to share their stories from when they might have been younger or if you still have the revhead gene in you today you could share with us any stories relating when you were in the car chasing someone through the hills, dragging someone off at the lights, doing a high speed run along a freeway or even if you have had any near death experiences in the car. Anyones stories are welcome, thanks.
  19. #1: I have no idea why the hell you would wan't do know what people do approaching a red light. WTF? #2: I also have no idea why anyone was interested in replying to this thread. WTF? #3: By the way... WTF?
  20. I'm pretty sure there's an R33 GTS? But if it's a GTS25t the t at the end means turbo. I would use premium on an RB25DE.
  21. I can see you are getting a little frustrated, now I don't mind talking to someone as long as their not so argumentative and listen to the important things I'm trying to say. With a C.A.P.A Ford Flash Tuner on my near standard XR6T I caned the crap out of an R33 GTR at Mallala so don't assume these things aren't good on the track because I did the same and surprised myself and many others in Japanese cars. I'm not one of the Ford bogans so I'm not in it for the power war, there's no need to wind 800hP out of a street car as far as I'm concerned regardless of what the Japanese are doing. I could easily hand a standard 350Z it's arse at the moment, and if you're putting it down to driver skill I could most probably beat it when my car was standard. No matter what you say you obviously haven't driven one of these if you think it's such a heap of shit, you only think that because it's a Ford and in your world isn't anywhere in contention with your Jap fantastic cars.
  22. Hey guys, just got back from the Toyota Rally SA. Thta's the only place your Jap cars will beat my XR6T, lol. With some more tuning it's now making marginally better peak power but massive torque gains, I shit you not this car is a rocket even in the hills on the way up there. This thing would definetly be in the low 11's (on street tyres) even though I've got big traction issues. Still got heaps to go, I'll keep you guys updated. The reason why you are saying big heavy cars aren't fast and their slugs etc. is because you don't wan't to believe that after you've payed your good money for a Skyline or Evo you still can't beat an 'overated', 'big heavy slug', 'crappy Australian build quality', 'petrol eating barge' like my car. When the whole package: "Ride quality, ability to tow caravans, extra legroom, ability to carry more passengers and have them more comfortable than a Skyline/Evo etc., sleeper like appearance, excellent standard sound system (no need for all your ricer stereo upgrades), Australian street credibility, great (standard) daily driver performance, cheap to modify, huge power gains for very little money, predictability, fuel economy and when modified a very capable, high performance road or track car. When all this isn't enough for you then I don't know what is, I mean honestly when you wan't 300rwkw+1000Nm+all the above for under $35k (second hand), under $50k (off the showroom floor) can you really go past this car?
  23. Just in case you don't know an standard XR6T with suspension work and rollcage placed in the top ten in Targa Tasmania 2004 up against highly modified Porsches (Jim Richards) and 500hP GTR's etc. If the fact that a heavier car with less power can keep up and beat the likes of modified GTR's, Porsches and Evo's doesn't amaze you then I don't know what will.
