Was just looking on the site of the company my mate did it at, 'Stay up right'. For L's they do a 6 or 12 hour course, 12 hour reccomended for people like me that have no previous experience.. Haven't really spoken to him in detail, but I think he said he paid ~$280, which was more expensive coz he did it on a weekend, so $250 sounds about right...

My mate said his course/license cost him $280..I'm assuming that gets him his L's? If that's the case, what do you do to get your P's? And yes, I could google this, but this is easier

Yeah as much as it pains me to start on something slow/ugly, with no riding experience other than a PW50 as a kid, I know I need to start at the bottom in this case.. I'll probably get my license, won't get a bike immediately, but as soon as I can justify the expense...So I'd be closer to getting off restrictions as well.. What's the L's/P's periods and restrictions?

nah wouldn't wan it when I'm off my P's, would be in the market for a gixxer/R6 etc, so better off going with a cheaper second hand 250

My first challenge will be to get a decent looking 250 to start on without spending too much. Can't bring myself to ride a shit looking bike though, even if it is only for a year. My mate just got an 08 250cc Ninja, looks decent, but at ~$6k, can't justify that when i'll be selling it a year later

Not a fan of the stripes but the grey under the lights works. On my phone so cbf getting a photo but whatever hsv it is that has the shit abstract shapes on the rear bar, they don't fit in at all. Not sonething worth debating as it's all personal taste anyway
