  1. My mrs offers to pay for pretty much everything pretty much all of the time, and she doesn't do it as an empty gesture. I still pay for most stuff (dinners/movies etc) but usually have to force her to let me pay...She's a keeper
  2. Parliamentary question time over? Birds - PM
  3. That is a ridiculous argument. So because it's Hamilton who loves to crash, massa should just let him through? f**k that
  4. They tend to be more picky....The company I just landed a job with started with 100 applicants, probably narrowed down from more than that...Cut that 100 to 30 for interviews, then 8 out of those 30 got jobs. Considering I'm an adult apprentice (over 25) it was even harder for me given that out of the 8 being hired, only 1 would be an adult apprentice.. Don't HAVE to be a member of the union...I'll be signing up though. Wasn't a member at my previous job because they were a bunch of cocksuckers that did nothing, but the ETU is a decent union (according to all of my sparky mates) so I'm happy to join. You'll probably be pressured to join, but at the end of the day it's up to you. They might treat you differently if you refuse to sign up as well...but would depend on the job/people you're working with obviously
  5. Yeah got a house, so like I said domestic was never even on the radar. They also have shittier working conditions etc, whereas EBA/union sites have it made..Too hot, go home, to wet, go home, RDO's etc etc etc As for CVs, keep it simple while still making sure you list any/all qualifications etc. Think about how many Resumes a big company would get, literally hundreds, so for them to be able to learn as much as possible about you in as little time as possible is what they want. Basically need to find a way to set yourself apart from the other 200 applicants, on 2 sheets of paper. I'm happy to send you mine and you can just cut out my stuff and add your own if you want...Then write up a bit of a cover letter about who you are and why you want the job etc, change the header of each one individually to the company you're applying for and attach it with your resume and send it off/drop it in...Then cross your fingers and wait for the calls...
  6. Yeah I think I only have like 7 games, most games I buy are yearlys like FIFA etc so u trade the old for the new.
  7. Ah I see. I'll just trade mw2 UFC and a 3rd if I have one I don't want and should get it free when u trade in 3. Otherwise I'll trade 2 and pay whatever it costs
  8. No idea how it goes in the plumbing industry, but I could've got a domestic apprenticeship ages ago, most would even take u without a pre app. For me it was not financially possible so I stayed at my high paying job until I got in with a big company. Still almost a 50% cut on my hourly rate, but it's manageable, and will pay off in the long run which is what counts. If you can afford to go domestic to start then you should be able to find something, just apply EVERYWHERE (I had to be selective and only apply with companies that have signed the ETU EBA) Also most big companies like guys with domestic experience (speaking from an electrical point of view) as they're usually 'better' sparkies in terms of their wiring etc. So you could do a year or so in domestic then move onto a bigger company and should get in easier, as long as they're looking for 2nd year apprentices of course
  9. Still waiting for the English translation of how to obtain mw3 for $46
  10. I'm lost, please repeat that in English.
  11. Paid $45 for f1 2011 off ebay when it had just come out. Got f1 2010 when that came out from Harvey normal for $66 coz they f**ked up the ad on the website lol
  12. eBay?
  13. Took a year but I just got an apprenticeship with a big company. Probably could've gotten one in domestic straight away but f**k working for $300 a week, before tax...
  14. If you're only making $36k a year you're doing something wrong...
  15. I agree, can't believe people are actually defending the move and the stewards decisions. Its one of the worst calls I've seen and the more I watch it the worse the call becomes. He tried to back out because he knew he was in the wrong, but because he couldn't get out of his f**k up in time, massa was penalized.
  16. PM sent, no rush
  17. How about I just PM you? lol
  18. Think I used 300V after the rebuild, never had an issue.

  22. What a finish! I had to work last night so I was taping it, then on the way home I heard that Stoner had won it even though I was trying to avoid hearing the result... Watched it anyway, and was thinking surely Spies has to drop it on the last lap for Stoner to win from there...
  23. Spies would be shattered. Missed the press conference coz my ps3 stopped recording
  24. fair fkin finish in last nights motoGP!
