  1. Til you go back and he tells you your alignment is completely out, asks you who did it, then goes silent when you tell him he did...

  3. I don't see the point in that when I can pay as much as I want at the moment, but if something were to happen, my minimum is lower than it would be with your example above... Just need to get the interest rate lower to smash it even quicker... This, doesn't make any sense to raise your minimum required payment if you're repayments aren't capped. Monica. We'd be combining the awesome bachelor pad potential we both have at the moment, but both seem to get nothing out of.. It'll save us the hassle of sending eachother snaps telling how poor our love lives are..
  4. Yeah that I get, you've got it sitting there in redraw... So say your loan was $500k, but you have $300k that you've paid into the loan account, which you can access if you need /want it... But you're paying interest only for the remaining $200k. Thats pretty much what I'm doing only not with an interest only loan... My loan let's me take as much or as little as I want at any time with no fees so it's essentially my savings account now too... I just don't plan to touch the money I've got in redraw unless it's to buy another house
  5. I already pay more than the minimum, the idea is to do that at the lowest possible interest rate while not being limited to how much you can put on the loan, over the minimum
  6. Hit yonica with the stock tips Monica
  7. I don't think you understood what I was saying
  8. Edit
  9. The cba chick that handled my stuff said to do interest only on the investment property while I was still paying my own house off, which made sense, but if it's your only one then I don't see the point
  10. I want to be able to pay off as much as I want... Most fixed rate cap the repayments at something like 10k p.a or something... Is this on a rental? Never understood the point of interest only...how can it be a a good thing to never own the house and pretty much just pay 'rent' to the bank
  11. Variable? Don't want a cap on repayments... Last time someone told me to look into the wealth package from commonwealth, that was the deal breaker
  12. Everything of mine is with cba, credit cards 2 savings accounts, home insurance, loan protection etc etc so if these mother f**kers don't wanna play ball I'll cancel everything
  13. Is yours variable Toby?
  14. 4.45% mother f**kin cba are raping me with this 4.95% horseshit
  15. They sent the valuer out to inspect so I don't think they're going off what I paid... If they take into account shit I've done like landscaping, concrete, air con etc it'd have to be worth a bit more than it cost to build, and I'd say the land has gone up even if only a little. Will have to sus out the blocks across the road to get an idea... She said she's pre approved me for around $400k to buy a rental so I can't be doing too badly in their eyes. Have since changed plans since meeting with her though.. Instead of buying a place solely to rent out, I figure I'll buy a block in an area I wanna live, build a new place there then rent this one out... Just need to find a wide block in the area I want, need the width to fit a triple garage..
  16. Yeah but do I need a rate from someone else for them to match? Or just call up and say I want it lowered or I'll go somewhere else You've confused me with the LVR shit now too, I'd imagine it's better to have a lower ratio, ie you owe f**k all but your house is worth heaps... Pretty sure I'm well under 80% even without knowing the value of this place Even if it hasn't gone up a cent since I built it, I'm well below 80%. They're selling blocks of land across the road for a new estate, might go sus out what they're worth to give me an idea of what my block is worth now
  17. and no idea what my place is worth...CBA had it valued when I was looking into getting a rental, but for some reason weren't allowed to tell me how much it's valued at... even though it's my f**kin house
  18. capped repayments? So why don't NAB just offer it themselves... How low you rekin I could get CBA to drop it (without capping repayments), and what's the best way to get em to do it?
  19. Bit skeptical about going with small banks that could go under etc... but that's a fair bit lower than my 4.95%
  20. what's a decent variable rate at the moment? I should call up CBA and tell em to lower it or blow me, but more often than not I cbf.
  21. was gonna go fixed to get a lower rate but they cap the repayments so no point...
  22. Thought as much And those who pursue careers that aren't particularly available in Australia, then cry about it.... Unlucky.
  23. I think a lot of it is the appearance of having a degree/diploma (no I don't know the difference between the 2) Like Leigh just said what's his mrs gonna do with a degree in science... If it can't get you a job it's f**kin pointless, no matter how good it looks or sounds. I hear a lot of people doing bachelor of arts or whatever else you can do a bachelor of...And I always have to ask 'and what career does that get you?' Sometimes the answer is good, a lot of the time their answer just makes it sound like they went to uni because it's the right thing to do, apparently.
  24. Big difference between survivng and doing well. $200 a week, $10k a year... I spent that on the engine alone in the R33 Like I said, not everyone is all about the money, that's fine. It's only funny when people with degrees/diplomas etc look down on tradies etc
  25. I finished school in 2003, didn't start my apprenticeship til 8 years later. I'm not saying no one should go to uni or whatever, but most of the people that use the example you used above, forget to factor in the money they weren't making for the ~4 years they were at uni, so unless they're on mega bucks when they do get out, they won't be catching up/overtaking those who worked from the get go anytime soon. Of course money isn't everything for some people, so it's not much of an argument, but for materialistic mother f**kers like me, it's pretty much everything
