  9. i have this prob also, if it is blowin hot air you can press the cold button on the climate control a few times when its turned off and the air will turn cool, its weird how it will change when pressing the buttons on a turned off unit ..
  10. Hey i have a weird problem that i havent seen covered in my searches, or prehaps it is the same but no one has relised that this happens, well anyways i noticed that my climate control was blowing hot air out of the foot vents when the climate control was off and then i ended up working out that while the climate control is OFF and blowing hot air out of the foot vents that i could actualy press the blue down (cold) button a few times and that the hot air would turn to cool air, i carnt get it to shut off but when its hot outside at least i can make the air cool instead off hot. But the weird thing is that i can make the adjustment on the climate control without it being turned on, like seriously no display, the unit is off but when i press the up and down buttons it will change the temp of the air coming through the foot vents. Anyways does anyone know where to look to fix this constant airflow problem from my climate control on an r33. I dont know if its related but the aircon seems to have no cold air left in her, but from my memory it was perfectly good and just stopped blowing cold qair all of a sudden, its been like it for a while now, i dont think its gas but i guess it could be, maybe if the unit has been constantly on it ran the gas out. Does anyone have any suggestions on how i might fix this because i think the aircon not giving me cold air and the hot air constantly coming out of the foot vents is all related, i just want to know where to start looking to fix it ..

  17. Hey i was wondering if anyone can tell me what an R33 S2 GTST Auto is suposed to idle at in park, mine is 1030rpm and for all i know it could have always been like this, but the other day i dont know if it was just me but it sounded like it was idlein a bit too high, but as i said im not sure if it has changed or it is just my imagination ..
  18. i think its the opposite my r33 gtst bonnet to me seems bulky and seems like it would be heavy, my friends commodore bonnet is that thin it moves while driving .. but everyone is entitled to an opinion im not saying your wrong, its just my opinion, i reckon a mechanic that sees alot of cars would be the best to ask if thyere may be something that could be a close match ..
  19. do you have a brand and model number of the unit ?
  20. Hey this may also fit in an r33 as it looks identical to the one i had for my r33, but im not 100% sure it will fit but i thought i would let you know, someone might want to try it in there r33
  21. could you please post a picture of it
  22. Hey guys lots of cars have gas struts on the bonnets, i bet that there is some car out there that has exactly the right struts and brackets to fit straight onto ours, or maybe with a slight modification. The thing ive noticed is that most bonnets that have gas struts installed are very light flimsy bonnets where ours are quite heavy ..
  23. Im not sure if your asking me but mine is a 96 R33 S2 GTST
  24. Hey as far as i know this test works on all R33's I have an aftermarket steering wheel and i still got into it, but it took quite a few trys, here is a tip, go a little further when doing the steering wheel to the left and right at whateva the angle is ..
  25. Guvna1 - No the ecu diagnostics doesnt work if you have a power fc, its only for the factory ecu Miss Ditzi - It may be a failing pump, and im pretty sure if the alternator is stuffed that the battery light on the dash will be on. There is so many things it could be thats why it is such a good idea to run the self diagnostics, as i explained its very easy and even someone with no knowledge can do this test, and it checks so many things. Turn Ignition ON Bridge the Blue/Yellow Wire pin & Yellow/Red Wire pin on the Grey Consult Port beside the fuses near steering wheel. The diagram below is from the mating pin side, not from the top wire side, there the 2 pins together. |O|OO|OO|OO| |X|XO|OO|OO| You bridge them with a paperclip and hold it for 2 to 3 seconds and then remove the paperclip. The Orange Engine Check Light on the Dash will flash out a code (or series of codes if there is more than one fault) Long Flash = first digit Short Flash = second digit eg long, long, short = code 21. Error Codes: 11 Crankshaft position sensor 12 MAF sensor circuit 13 Coolent temperature circuit 14 Vehicle speed sensor circuit 21 Ignition circuit 31 ECU 34 Knock sensor 43 Throttle position circuit 45 Injector leak 51 Ignition circuit 54 Auto signal to ECU 55 All OK Turn the ignition off to put the ECU back to normal. Its very simple, and as i said if you still carnt work it out you can pm me
