bump... anyone -
yeh here in vic all the CTP stuff is incorporated in our yearly rego fee. what u want is 3rd party/property insurance (some have a fire and theft option, usually up for $5000 damage, for an extra fee) driving an import and being on your p's your best bet in vic would be to look at just cars (www.justcarinsurance.com.au) enjoy

ok, i no what engine i have.. the clutch/fly/gearbox is where its tricky.. the clutch that came out of it was 225mm (not 240) i was told the early rb20 motors use this smaller clutch and for the bigger (normal) 240mm clutch to fit i needed a DET flywheel. so ive bought one and now i got a call saying its not right.. the guy does heaps of work an 300zx's so i dont doubt him, its just my car is weird.. its made from diff bits of pieces.. ive got a 92 gts shell, with all the gtst mspec bits (5 stud, bodykit, brakes) its got an rb20det, but the gearbox and fly are different. cant get anypics at the mo, but i will when i p[ick the car up tonight... its all very weird...

ok guys ive been having really weird problems getting a clutch into my r32 the car started life in japan as a RB20DE, and somewhere along the lines it had an RB20DET installed now, the car has been at the mechanics getting a new clutch installed and he said my engine is from a 180?? does this sound right? so what i have then is an rb20det from a 180 in my R32 GTS, and the clutch is a 225mm item.. do 180's come with an rb20?
-
guys i need help rather than swapping it over to a 225mm clutch i bought a DET flywheel as i was told it would allow the fitment of the 240mm clutch,, just got a call from my mechanic and its not right...

all sounds like its going to be good fun once u get into it! try using washing powder/liquid that u put on your clothes in the washing machine, it gets your hands nice and clean!!!

anyone know if 32 gtr/gtst rear camber arms are the same?
-
sorted out that for some bizarre reason my car which is a 92 gts takes a 225mm clutch, getting the kit swapped over..
-
the old clutch is 225mm, which from what i just read from the post below means that my gbox is from an rb20de is there anyway that the bigger clutch can be installed?
-
im thinking my g/box is from a non turbo gts... would i be correct?
-
hi guys.. well i bought a clutch from the group buy and ive got a couple of problems ok, hoping the problem is juist the kit sent to me has been mislabelled as a 32 clutch as the new clutch plate is too big for my car.. see the pics, but the new clutch is about 240mm in diamater, with the old one being about 230mm.. whats going on here? are there different gearboxes in 32's between models? im working with mario to swap it over as im hoping its just been mislabelled, not that my car has something funky going on with the gearbox... can anyone shed some light on this? how big is a 32 clutch plate?

Rear Camber Arms, Tyre Wear

also the car is a r32 gtst and ive got gtr rims on the back so offset is +40 i think.. if that makes any diff? -
hi guys... ok bear with me while i run this through.. ive had an overly annoying 'squeek' coming from somewhere in the rear for the past 3-4 months, its comes and goes, but sound at times my car sounds like a rickety old trailer at times.... its embarrasing the amount of looks it get... i took the car to a large suspension related business (not mentioning the name) 2 weeks ago to finally fix the problem, and they said its to do with the adjustable rear camber arms that are fitted to the car, something about them not being fitted correctly by the previous owner... they fixed the problem, for a week.... i just jumped under the car to have another look myself and it appears all they did was smear the arm in some sort of lubricating grease to stop the squeek.. looks super sh!thouse... im about to get new tyres, as the insides are very worn.. but i want to get the squeek and the obvious camber problem (see tyre pic) fixed before i get new tyres as i want them to last... my 2 questions are: Should (when the car is on the jack) the wheel move around at the carmber arm joint (pictured)? it has a couple of mm lateral movement when i push/pull the wheel, and is this related to the god awful noise? jsut want to get it sorted, as i said, so i get rid of the noise and dont wear out my new tyres too fast. i want to take the car somewhere with a good rep in melbourne to fix the prob once and for all, who can u recommend? cheers james

hi guys... as im getting a fmic soon i want to try to locate a stock 32 airbox and intake piping etc, as to keep the car legal (only 2 intake mods allowed in vic) if anyone has one let me no also needing some standard rear camber arms to suit a 32 gts-t also looking for a rear strut brace to suit a r32gtst.. im in melbourne james
