Nah its pretty easy, I did it before i swapped with my brothers 8mr lights before he sold his I painted my projectors yellow to match car and looked pretty good, but I got MR lights only a few weeks later so wasn't on long lol its just a part of the light trim you paint on the inside when you pull them apart

You can paint them to look like the later lights, also you can paint the projectors different colours as well like red/blue/purple etc and looks great

2.4 stroker are cheaper to build than the 2l lol Only thing is the 2li is more rev happy Yes they do, but cams are upgraded usually to, especially if you do upgrade turbo So again, 8mr is really more money for something that has an alloy roof and fancy CF rear spoiler if you plan on modding the car (which you usually will with an evo)

Better off doing 8mr turbo as it bolts straight on, IX turbo needs a fitting kit and there is another $100 for maybe 5kw max Nah different seats, suspension, rear wing, have more power from factory (tuned more) But for the price and if you are modifying then go the 8 and mod it LOL Its steel Jamie If you go seven and running that kind of power e85 will kill it. It's actually when it has a lot of low down torque that generally kills the engines, e85 has been the killer of most of the 7 rods This, on par with power my mates 7 was just out run by an 8mr due to the 6speed box IMO get an 8 and do a front nose chop, it'll look like a 9 and be heaps cheaper Make sure it has a badge on though, like the 9 from this to this and comparing to a IX front Also handy that the 8 run the same wing as the 9 so all you really need is a 9 bar to make it awesome
