  1. Thats right, I used 270IN and EX with 10.25mm for the current one. But the cams were never dialled in during the tune as we were pressed for time, that aside it would be great if someone could overlay Marko's graph and this graph; Note this is using the same size turbos (im pretty sure marko has the .6 -10's meaning 400hp each, im on HKSGTRS's) and my head is only cleaned up, its not "ported" Down low its pretty much the same, but look at the midrange and up top, also lower boost
  2. I feel really sorry for you mate, but that post cant stay the way it is, its against forum rules, if anyone has any doubt about the authenticity of takata harnesses from performancewise i suggest you take it up with performancewise
  3. Changing dumps is a smart move. Also porting the manifolds. Thats about it without spending any sort of meaningful amount of cash (the labour bill wont be small though as its basically a turbo change)
  4. Im thinking it may be a lot nicer to drive with the power peaking lower than 8000rpm - cause how often are you at 8000rpm in a street car most days
  5. No not your motor's dyno graph Paul, just cam duration change to Marko's one
  6. Is anyone else wondering what that curve would look like with equal lift but lower duration cam profiles?
  7. So you already have the ECU? If not, and you want something PFC based - just get a DJetro and forget the AFM's. DJetro's are usually a bit more $$$ than the normal PFC/PFCPro, BUT you dont need to buy AFM's
  8. Sorry Paul, if you meant my "dribble" was a lack of experience with vipec's then you're 100% right. Thats because i dont want any personal experience with a vipec Anyway back on topic (as vipec was never in this discussion), speak to your tuner and ask him - easy
  9. Ah what a predictable thread. Some quite well known members on here have recently done some shonky deals with popular ECU's, two spring to mind involving PFC's. Its wrong to write an ECU off the list because someone says anything remotely negative about them (and just so happen to NOT be sponsored by that brand, or have a different one currently for sale. At the end of the day, its up to your tuner. Use whatever he feels confident in giving you the best result from your setup. It is smart though to think long and hard about what you'll use in the future (motor changes, turbo changes, gearbox changes etc) and get something that caters to those needs, eg if you're getting a dogbox in the future you may aswel get an ECU that supports flatshift for example There is NOTHING wrong with a microtech. My guy tuned it up in 45mins flat, did the AC idle up, cold start etc, and got a nice result which was nice and drivable. Of course its not as good as a vipec, afterall, nothing is (note the extreme use of sarcasm in this line).
  10. Just as a side note, in the last few days ive had so much souvlakia ive loosened my belt a notch. Yep, thats right.
  11. Ive got the cusco mount kit for the front, never used it though. But i plan to quite soon. Are Vic and NSW plates the same size on the rear? If so, this was done without cutting/mods; Here's a few pics showing what the cusco front kit does/looks like from google; Here's the cusco kit for skyline; Note the difference for silvia (incase you're buying second hand and not 100% sure what you're looking at);
  12. Cant believe i missed that today. gosh darn.
  13. On the cheap (cheap is a relative term) the parts to get (other than new bearings etc); -Pistons -Crank collar -N1 oil pump The pricing for labour and machining though may be a suprise, a lot of people get to where you are right now then sell the car cheap
  14. Mmm maybe not, they're out again after the tow
  15. GTR is out, luckily he kept it off that wall

    Rb25 Head

    Hey guys Need an RB25 head, i just need the bare head for some porting practice. I dont need anything in mint condition (although it would be nice), really only one of the combustion chambers/inlets/exhausts has to be in good order. Valve train is not required, but if someone's going to charge me to strip it before selling the bare head, then ill take it. Must be stock, not ported. Happy to take a head cut (eg, half of a head). Location isnt important (within reason). PM me a price, location and condition. Thanks
  17. Oh yeah sorry i know Als is more than that, didnt see the 330hp bit
  18. Myself, Shan, Col, T88onboard, Ash - come pat all of us on the back Paul.
  19. Mmm i seem to recall someone saying that (and a lot more) to you in a pub about a year ago....
  20. Ive got them, but with more suited cams and a build 3L bottom end. You should really get the head ported, and get rid of those cams for some more suited ones Power curve to die for (18psi);
  21. Ok, this brings one guy to mind: "Al" I drove his on a skidpan and quickly on the street, it was crazy quick, sure it doesnt have dyno winning figures but the way it makes usable power and torque it doesnt need huge power. I can honestly say its the most fun GTST ive ever driven. Hopefully he'll see this thread, if not, send him a pm - he's a really nice bloke
  22. Hey Aarlan do you have pics showing the guard clearance? Cheers
