I'm not keen in putting my car in for the SPL thingo when mine looks as basic as it does.. I have no special fibrglass moulding or latest amp/sub combos.. or in car tv... or neons - though I'm quite happy about that last one..

It's not that bad. If you get done and it's not warranted then you don't have to pay and the officer can get a minor reprimand if you follow it up. Not that my car would pass - but if you get one and you have to spend the $$ to get it over the pits then the cop was just doing his job right? It's a risk we all take and shouldn't unless we're prepared for the consequences. Sorry - just heard the "poor me - it's not fair" argument too many times..
