Mate these set-ups are great...we run one in our racecar and you would be hard pressed to tell the difference from a stocker. We just ran a 9 sec pass at the drags with ours and although i dont punish it, its seeing almost 500AWKW and holding up well. Synchro maintenance is the key to keeping them together.

a box of 10 "Narva" switches arrived just as i was leaving for sydney this afternoon. Ill finish them off while im away racing this weekend and pop them in the post 1st thing monday. i could have skimped on the quality a little and bought cheap shit switch mech's but this is not my go. Narva is great quality stuff, and almost everyone who has bought one has commented on the high quality.

Yes we have several sources over there to confirm this including well known 8sec GTR pilot Tomatsu Miyamae he says no RH9 low mount workshops or 9 sec cars. They simply bolt on the big huffers if they want to go quick. Only a stubborn Aussie (read stupid) would persist in running into the 9's with this set-up.

Im glad i was not the only one reading this article scratching my head.. Both Autronic and Haltec make plug-in ECU's now and having just purchased an Autronic i must say i was suitably impressed. both are around the 2K mark for Autronic see Godzilla Motorsport in QLD for Haltec see Croydon Racing in NSW

Well Uncle John what did you expect...i always respond to a smart remark with a clever one. Thanks for the "well done" well here's a general run down of things to do got a bit more of tuning in her (more dyno time friday night as we have nice fat low 11.1 tune in her) got a bit more boost in her (we used to run the 2530's to 34psi...only on dyno though) got a few more rev's in her (the 9 sec pass was done without a shift light...was shifting purely by ear and feel) the suspension setting's have not been looked at yet (im running HKS circuit coilovers) and ive got a nice blue bottle of spray for her too. how's the "stealth bomber" going...im sure your tweaking something...or adding more GTR parts to it.

to run "only" 10.7 with that MPH is nothing to brag about. that was my first run with a lowly 25psi. Got quite a bit left up my sleeve...ill run a whole second quicker than you with your MPH.... hahaha!!

wow 3250lb...thats 10lb lighter than me our full weight last event was 3260lb.

I was considering going the other way and running a GTS-t sticker on the bootlid of our racecar...as ive removed all badging off it...just to get one back for the GTR boys.

I just understand that the sport is so much bigger than me...others think they are bigger than the sport! If your not enjoying your racing its time to look at doing something else...at the moment im having a blast! And oh yes ill never forget how Macca spent some quality time with me under "twoogle's" belly that day. The list of people who have been willing to give their time and expertise to help us out since we started racing is quite extensive and we thank all of you for the effort you have made for us.

At least when my car has problems i can actually get in and fix it and get back on the track. Hey remember the time i actually replaced a smashed gearset in a gearbox out behind the pits just so i could keep competing...now thats commitment....or is it MADNESS!! At least i dont smash holes in my engine, have a massive tanty dummy spit and go home looking like an absolute tool.

Car has been off the road for the last 18 months while parts were bought...ideas were thrown around...and the engine was assembled...so yes it has been a while...but worth waiting for. I didn't set myself the goal of running nine's on low mounts because it was easy...i did it because it was hard. The harder a goal is to achieve, the larger the reward and satisfaction is when its obtained. And i did it just the way i wanted to...No slicks...No NOS...No dog box...No big $$ engine management. The RH9 stickers were applied in the pits on Wednesday night before we loaded the car to go home.

450-500 kw and 5000rpm of peak torque should see you in the ballpark. good luck with your build.

No NOS as yet Sonoco Max NOS fuel (which surprisingly does not make much more power than pump fuel due to its slower burn rate and oxygen content...about 27kw more in the top end) Shane high 107's to half track Dave...the pulley drama being resolved over the weekend and we now use HKS GT-RS turbo's...the 2530's were upgraded some 18 months ago. Does anybody have the run on video??
