  1. Has anyone successfully made a bracket and sourced a rotor to offset the STD brake caliper. Im looking for a budget upgrade.
  2. At Autosalon one year the announcer called the car "to ogle" when Stacey was accepting a trophy. He is the only other person to suggest "to olge"
  3. We have a Cusco 1 way in ours...helps to reduce torque steer and keep it running straight.
  4. Well two posts ago it clearly states in english "plus freight" its SOLD to Lazy-Bastard
  5. Thanks Billy, Cars like this don't just happen (unless you have unlimited cash), it has been constant trial and error development over 6 years. The car is almost at the stage where we want it...once the 9's are out of the way its time for monster brakes and a return to the circuit. Stacey is still keen to get out of the 11's and into the 10's after she has the baby (it was due yesterday). Very happy with how the car performed with the limited testing we had on wednesday night.
  6. still up for grabs people
  7. When selling a car i always ask to meet the buyer outside the local police station. When they don't turn up you know they were trying to fu(k you over. Another thing is to get someone to photograph their license...if you don't come back with the car you have their details. I do this with all tradespeople who work in our home eg Foxtel installers, carpet layers etc. It makes them think twice about coming back and ripping the place off.
  8. Stuart, do yourself and your box a favor by NOT using redline shockproof in it it is NOT designed for use in synchro gearboxes and is only beneficial in worn gearboxes. have a read they clearly state this http://www.redlineoil.com/products_gearlub...mp;categoryID=6
  9. Thats so funny Ben....almost as funny as the other night Stace heard me talking in my sleep saying "the other dyno...nah its the same dyno, its the same dyno"
  10. here is a vid of the 1st run in 18 months 10.7 ET 130 MPH http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KmgSrc-B1VY
  11. Yeah..on the final run held it all the way to 9500rpm in 3rd and lost both belts across the line.(3rd gear @ 9500rpm = 137 MPH) youtube of 1st run to come (uploading now)
  12. some data on the 10.4 run...the g-tech was not calibrated correctly so the ET's a little off (0.2secs) but the MPH was spot on as you can see above, the shift point was set to 9000rpm...i didn't see or activate the shift light for the middle of the run and shifted 1-2 at 8400rpm and 2-3 at 8600rpm EDIT: just replay'd the run and the shift light only came on going across the line (top of 3rd) the graph below is speed vs time the car does not accelerate for 0.4secs on the 1-2 change and 0.5 on the 2-3 change, much improvement is to be had there. Very lazy changes and need to rev the car a little harder through the gears. EDIT: be kind with your comments 2rismo
  13. Its an oldie but a goodie. Car was originally a 1st Anniversary wedding present back in 2001. 1st anniversary present is traditionally paper...Stace got paper...rego paper.
  14. I said "yes we have one" but...not installed yet
  15. Running AFM version of Power FC Looking to run at a private track hire on Saturday.
  16. Thats the idea...9's on radials. no one's done it B4 on low mounts...let alone with synchro box and a Power FC. We still are yet to connect the Nitrous set-up as well. Im very happy with the progress so far.
  17. well done Pauly. Pond and I are proud of you and Twoogle. Next time I will be able to come and cheer you on. Stace xx
  18. Chris, even when i had busted the radiator hose and the night was over for the car i a had a smile on my face and was very impressed with the potential of the car. Yes i was "stoked"
  19. Ran it tonight..went well only ran it on low boost (21psi) to "shake it down" I finally reached my 20th run tonight so still very much a novice. So here's what happened... 1st pass 1.60 60' short shifted all gears and ran 10.7 @ 130 MPH 2nd pass 1.49 60' gave it a bit more in each gear and ran 10.4 @ 134 MPH 3rd pass got hassled at the start line about only having 1 arm restraint and forgot to switch it back into 4WD (this was my last run as they would not allow another pass without both arm restraints fitted). Launched it off the limiter and lit it up spinning the rears (2WD) past 60' (1.90). But really put the foot down in 3rd and went through the traps for a new MPH PB of 137 MPH. Across the line both belts (power steering and alternator) came off and tore a huge hole in my top radiator hose. Thus ending the fun for the night. When its fully tuned with full boost and a driver with a bit more experience this things gonna be awesome. The car now weighs 3030lbs or 1375kg...but, im still over 100kg.
