I used to have an E30 325i and it did 0-100 in 7secs with a few mods... Just having a think at the mo, not sure if i want a car as big as the 5 series, but im keeping my options open.. i need to sell my car so i can save some cash for realestate.. Hey Guys, Time has come for me to start looking into the world of realestate, so sadly, I must sell the pride and joy. Below is what I have posted on carsales.com. Most people are amazed at how clean the car is.. Inspections are more than welcome. I've had one guy get a mechanic to look at it in a pit and he couldn't find any problems other than a bit of grease around the gearbox.. reason he didn't purchase was because his finance wouldn't come through. Please no joyriders, and if you need finance to make the purchase, please get that sorted before hand. I am in no hurry to sell the car, however all reasonable offers will be considered, I am flexible on price and I will also consider a swap (with extra cash) as I am downgrading to a car no more than $5k. Hey all, Got a sound as if i am reversing, when going forwards.. its louder in 1st and 2nd but still noticable in other gears... has only recently started to happen... wondering if anyone has had this before? Is it a busted bearing or something? Also, when in neutral with clutch engaged (foot off the clutch) i can hear a rattle coming from the gearbox.. Your help is appreciated.... as i am so pov at the moment I'm hoping i don't have to fork out $$ on a gearbox repair or replacement! Cheers

Cheers R32FOURDOOR.. I Didn't get chance to check forum on weekend, so in the mean time, I did something else. I reset my computer by disconnecting the battery and pressing the brake a few times (to clear any remaining volts) then plugged it back in... I couldn't tell if it solved the cold start problem, but it doesn't seem to be rev hunting at idle anymore.. it's actually quite smooth...

How much and where can i hook up a gtr intrusion bar for? I have a copy gtr bar on mine, and it doesn't fit properly, sags a bit under the lights (mainly due to the fact that the previous owner cut the intrusion bar) The bar was on there when i got the car, im just going through tidying up the many little things that need doing!!!

Having an annoying problemo with my headlights, that is getting worse.. When turning my headlights on, they will randomly decide not to work, but one at a time... and sometimes both at once!! They even turn on and off whilst im driving... Im thinking its the switch you use to turn them on, coz if you tap the switch with your finger, it can help the light come on... but also, if you want to use highbeems (with the lever that the indicators are on) and then go back to the headlights, the problem occurs there too.. My questions are... 1) Has anyone else had this problem? 2) Is it relatively easy to take the switch off and maybe clean the connection or something? Appreciate ya help guys!!

So where do you find the cold start solenoid...(as in in the engine bay) and how much does one of these cost?

Sometimes mine happens when its warm too... like when i pull up at traffic lights the engine idles up and down...goes down to 100 then goes up and down a bit before it settles....

Mi hicas light comes on at exactly the same point when i drive up the south eastern freeway...(from my house in kensington ...sa....) its the straight where it becomes 110km/h... i thought it was coz you are driving at 80km/h for 15 minutes or something.... coz it comes on at exactly the same time...every time... my light just stays on, doesn't flicker....

Does it idle funny on start up? Mine does on a cold start, last time i started it cold the revs went from 0 - 900 to 100- 900 and repeated until i gave it some throttle, which then did nothing... eventually the reves went up to 1200 sat there for a few secs then came down to 900 and sat there fine.. Usually when that happens, when i drive off and then disengage the clutch at my first stop, it almost stalls, but doesn't... even sometimes does that when it's completely warm... I have cleaned my spark plugs and it is smoother on idle...but still does the whole spluttering thing occasionally... Interested to know if they are similar problems.... mine might be fuel line, coz i can smell fuel sometimes whilst driving... which would explain the dodgy start up... im gonna try injector cleaner, but i reckon there must be a slightly cracked hose somewhere.... GODDAMM CARS GODDAMMITTT!!

Check the seal on the side of the fuel tank where the inlet pipe goes in... mine looks brittle and i have dampness (of petrol) around it.. just bought the O ring that replaces it... my smell gets worse when the tank is full, and if i do a hard left..

Funny enough, i just discovered the other day that mine has been hacked off. I tool the front bar off (to do some repairs.... big chunk of skirt ripped off coming out of my driveway, as i had to turn sharper due to a c0ck in a 4wd opposite me!!!) But yeah, middle section has been cut, between the headlights... my front bar hangs a bit too.. And i don't have a front mount!

Well, i have to drop the car off for about a week, so I'd probably need them to be driveable just incase!! hehe, spacesavers would look interesting :lol:

What sort of prices are we talking for Morpower? Obviously depends what they are doing, but what have you had done there? Cheers mate!

Hey!! I'm gonna be getting my wheels powder coated white soon (they wheels i have are five spoke 16" Enkeis with dark grey spokes and.....red rims) FYI Gonna cost me about $160 or so. Anyway, I'll be looking at doing this late December/Early Jan, but I need a set of wheels to put on my car in the meantime.. So just giving a heads up, if anyone has any spare R32 rims lying around the place that I could borrow.. Cheers geezers!

Anyone have any opinions on Morpower? I have a mate who gets his 33 done there all the time and says they know alot about skylines, and hasn't had a problem...

Hmmm I have the same problem with my R32 I think.... I have a new boost gauge to put on, so will see how that goes... since i have to replace the hose anyway! I thought my car was going slower, but not much....
