  1. As mentioned...a less than satisfactory tune can cause missing issues...its a process of elimination with this problem you have...just have to bite the bullet sometimes....
  2. From experience...while these adjustable actuators do give some boost control...you still want a proper boost controller to hold the wastegate shut till you reach the desired level of boost...if not you'll have the wastegate creeping open as you build boost...set up properly a proper boost controller will give better response and also more midrange...
  3. One more thing worth trying which was the case for me...i had an x-force "hi flow" cat which was shit...i changed it to a 3" metalcat and got it retuned...my tuner managed to dial in more timing and peak power rose by 12rwkw...with heaps more in the midrange too...
  4. Every car is different...so if an ecu works fine on one car it doesn't mean it will work just as well on another...and the PFC you tried...was that tuned with your car? if not then that test tells you nothing... Ans as for the turbo...like nismoid said...its probably past that efficiency...yes it makes decent power...but at what expense...if its a stocker you'll probably be picking the exhaust wheel out of the cat at some point...drop boost 2-3psi and get a proper tune with some sort of decent engine management...
  5. Its a long shot but hows the mapping on your engine management? I had flat spots and missing on mine too which were ironed out after the map was altered at those areas...
  6. Sale fell through so back up!!
  7. The gt28rs is similar to a hks 2530 which some guys have on their rb25s...its is rather small but it will give more power over the stock rb25 turbo and hold up at more than 14psi without spitting the exhaust wheel out...the .64 exhaust housing would be restrictive for a 25 though...in terms over power i'd expect somewhere in the low 200rwkw range with blistering response...
  8. At 12 psi i really wouldn't bother so much...just whack the airbox on and open it up slightly... I run the car at 18-19psi daily and still have the pod hidden in the airbox...
  9. It will fit...i guarantee it...although the filter will be crushed ever so slightly...i know because thats on my car at the moment... It will not really give much of a gain over the airbox for now but it does stop the cops from hassling me...and when i hit the track or strip...i just remove the airbox cover... If you want to open up the airbox...you can open up the base and run another pipe to feed the airbox....
  10. Had the same issue on my rb20det...anyway...mine turned out to be a dodgy connector on the coilpack loom...but as mentioned above...those are the usual suspects for the problem you're facing...
  11. Butcher your airbox and hide the apexi power intake inside...but if you really want to go with a panel filter...open up the feeds to the airbox and i will perform just as well...
  12. Trim about 4-5 inches off the standard return pipe...then find a longer length of flexible hoseto join the BOV to it...
  13. Yeah...i put it down to some weird resonance through the pipes or something like that as it only happened after i put in the original HKS dump pipe...then at a later date i get a resonator welded onto the catback and then the noise went away...
  14. Good day people, I'm desperately after a LHF Stub Axle for a r32 gtst with abs...i've called all the local wreckers and can't find one...can anyone put me on to one? Please call Gerald at 0423334609 if you do...like i said...i'm desperate...cheers...
  15. ^^^ Agreed...i'm putting out arounf 215-220rwkw on my rb20 with a 2535...might get abit more with cams perhaps but thats about it...
  16. Nice setup you have...i'd say around the region of about 220-230rwkw at 1.2-1.3 bar as well...if everything is running well you might be able to get even more...i'd stick to about 1.3 bar anyway as any more you won't make much more power and just end up generating more heat... Very interested to hear your results when you get them...cheers...
  17. ^^^ That is true...but that is a whole different ball game as it involves a fair bit more work than just replacing a pipe...and it will cost heaps more too...
  18. Price Drop...$170 ono...
  19. Seems like you have saved about 2 feet of extra piping length there...Looks good... Can anyone else confirm if something like this does help response?
  20. I got the same sound when i installed my 2535 a year ago...siren sound was loud as!! i checked and rechecked everything on the intake side of the engine and all was good...funnily enough...the sound went away when i got a resonator welded onto the exhaust...this was done for a differenct reason but it stopped the wailing...so for me it was probably some sort of resonance through the pipes...and it wasn't the turbo dying...its run 1.2-1.3 bar for a year since then and its still ok... Take what you will from my experience...i'm not saying its definitely the cause but it was for me...
  21. For an Rb20...you have other alternatives to injectors like GTR 440cc injectors and RX7 550cc injectors too...even the 440cc ones will flow more than enough for 250rwkw...as for the rest of the support stuff...the guys above have nailed it spot on...
  22. Yeah...remap from Sam too...i just need to find the time to go see Sam...and make sure he has the time to look at it too...
  23. Lolz Sam...then they wouldn't be street tyres would they... By the way sam...the car is still hitting a flat spot on hard shifts...can we try to sort that out sometime?
  24. Thats the problem...damn calder print outs yesterday didn't show 60ft times...i was aiming to monitor those times... In terms of mods...its got all the usual bolt on support mods like exhaust, fmic, remap, injectors and runs a hks2535...made 217rwkw at 19psi in winter at dr drift's dyno...still have some restrictions in the system which i might aim to sort out over the coming months...
  25. Good day fellas, I just went down to Calder last nite and ran a personal best of 13.06 @ 108mph in my rb20det R32 Gtst... Car was running 18psi and was making around 210rwkw...was on hankook rs2 street rubber and was in full street trim...didn't even pull out the spare tyre... I'm so agonisingly close to a 12 on street rubber and trim but getting that extra 0.06 seconds will probably be too much for my poor little engine...we'll see though...it might just eat away at me too much and i might give it another go after summer if she's still alive and kicking then... Cheers...
