Ive actually never done this event with semi's!! Last year I took them up but the tyre shop stripped two nuts so I couldnt change tyres, I was still 3 seconds quicker than the year before on street tyres! You got to remember that your semi's wont warm up as quick, and when they do, your run is over but in saying that, I'll be in semi's....whether its the street semi's of the falkens or my old, shagged r888's

Anyhoo - for the original thread starter.... Just get a non turbo r33/r34 - they have the same fun chassie which is great as they can handle pretty well for a stock car. They are alot cheaper these days. If you decide to put brakes and suspension mods on it, guess what - you can swap them over to the turbo model WHEN you can buy it crawl, walk, run - isnt that how we learn?

How bout going through some car forums and getting details of sydney performance car work shops, and cold call! Send some emails, go see workshops in person, give them a call etc. Prob best to call in, with your resume etc so they know you are serious. I did that a few years back, when I was greenkeeping I wrote to alot of golf clubs and went in to see a few managers, Some didnt even reply, but one was happy, and gave me a job Good luck, Cheers!
