where would i find this sort of stuff out?
-
hey guys ive been searching for ages but cantr find what i need. my problem is this, my battery goes flat within 8 hrs of not driving my car. its not the battery its been checked out. so theres something not turning off when it should be. i know the fault is on the electrics circuit, when i pull the fuse under the dash marked electrics it is fine. i can leave it over night and it starts fine. what i need to know is what else is on this circuit other than the radio( the radio also has another fuse just for the radio its self) the radio isnt the problem. if i put the electrics fuse in and pull the radio fuse i still get a flat battery which proves that its not the radio. can anyone help? does anyone have a diagram of the fuse box circuits? when you pull the electrics fuse can you find something that doesnt work other than the radio and clock? i cant. this might help. the fuse marked electrics is also in line with the radio fuse. R33_Fusebox_translation.doc

hey guys got a question for yas. if your car is stock height and you drive into a driveway and scrap the shit out of your front bar can you sue the council for the damage? or even if you arnt stock height but are still at the legal height of 100mm?
-
this is all new to me. i just got my skyline about 3 months ago and it had a pod. i had to get a rwc for it so i searched the forums for the legalities of pod filters and other mods. i rang epa victoria who directed me to vic roads. they said to be road worthy it had to be a paper filter it had to be mounted securly and still had to have the air flow sensor on it. they didnt say anything about covering the pod. passed the road worthy. thats the rules in victoria anyway.

First Time - Buying A New Skyline
jasont82 replied to naykam's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
i went into great depth to uncover the pod filter legalities. i spoke to vic roads and the epa and a rwc place. the rwc place didnt know shit. they claimed any pod filter was illegal. this isnt the case, vic roads set the rwc standards and they have a manual that all registered rwc places have to be familiar with. they have to be a paper eliment they have to be secure and they have to retain the air flow meter. and if you have a pod you cant have a fmic or vice versa its only one intake mod aloud. (these are the rules and regs in vic) -
First Time - Buying A New Skyline

i just bought mine bout 3 months ago. i had it racv checked (vic) i thought it was a waste of money. they listed the most obvious things on it. like non standard gear knob, non standard wheels(18's) front and rear strut braces, exhaust. nothing in depth about the engine, transmission, turbo. they said on the phone they did a compression test but there was no results on the report. the only reason i didnt go to a mechanic is because it was the end of jan and he was on holidays. i just couldnt let the car go or it wouldnt be there when i came back. so i had to settle for racv check. -

hey guys ive got ahead of myself a little here. ive never organised a group buy before and i havent really done much research on the product but i propositioned autobarn ferntree gully (melb) about a group buy for the gizzmo ibc. they sell it there for $419 but if 10 people want one they will do it for $355 or $349 if all 10 orders are in cash. i havent found out any postage details yet either, not officially going ahead with it but just interested to see what people think and if they are interested? i apologise if this is in the wrong section didnt want to put it in group buy because its not an official buy yet.

what is a capacitor for? if its not to take load off the battery and alternator what does it do? im confused. everyones got there opinions on how to fix the problem but those that are against a capacitor, what do they do if there a waste of money? why would you need one? i always thought the bigger gauge wire you use the better current flow you get. but theres too much current being demanded if the lights are dimming so how is bigger wire gonna help? im not trying to be smart i seriously dont know what the answer is. i was told you need a bigger alternator for dimmiing lights but thats just what i was told.

have you ever tried to do anything about it? im gonna get it checked out by an auto elec, ill let you know what the problem was. hopefully its not the signal from the ecu, then i can always get a after market tacho. friend suggested loose wire ill let you know when i get it checked.

thinking bout getting ibc from gizzmo. want a ebc not an mbc and it seams to be the most basic cheapest item on the market that i would consider. always advertised in fast fours so it cant be that bad or fast fours wouldnt want it in their mag. anyone got one? had one? liked disliked?

hey guys just washed my car and now my tacho is sitting at about 5k wiggling about. has anyone had this problem before? i think i may have got water in at the bottom of the window coz the seal isnt too good. checked all my fuses they seam fine. it has no response to the throttle now either. just darts about at ablout 5-7 grand. hopefully by tommorow it will have dried out and be back to normal. what do you guys think? any suggestions?

hey guys does anyone hav jumboz springs or know anything about them? they dont have an official web site. i just bought some from a guy on sau, but he advertised them as king springs. king springs are yellow these are green. and i had them shipped down from sydney so as you can guess i wasnt too impressed when i opened the box to find green springs. they is no part number on them and they didnt come in a box or anything. im only guessing they are jumboz from what other members have told me. i have no idea how low they are or if they even fit my car. the seller bought them second hand from someone else and has never had them on his car. should i put them in anyway?

hey guys just received some springs advertised as low king springs, but there green not yellow. ive rang a king spring dealer and they say that they have never made green springs only yellow. does anyone know who manufacters green springs?
