You are missing my point mate. NO production based R31 Aus spec or Jap spec had a RB30ET and was exclusive to VLs. Go to CalaisTurbo.com.au and tell them different. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan_Skyline#R31 Even go here for the info.
-
Yeah they werent RB30ETs were they? Also I was aware R31s did come Turbo from factory, they were RB20DETs and NO R31 ever came out with a RB30ET. Thats what im saying.
-
Did you know that the RB30ET is actually exclusive to the VL and has been made famous by VLs? Also with the Jap spec thing, I know R31s are Japanese, however the R31s over here are different to whats in Japan, thats what im talking about. BTW 2 of those VLs I posted up were V8s, I should know because one of them is actually mine. Before anyone says it, I do not hate R31s, I actually dont mind them at all and have considered one.
-
***Checks I.Q results sheet*** No My apologies, I noticed that the 2rd 31 is Aussie.
-
Thats a sign of pure jealously Also with those R31 pics, why are they all Jap spec ones? arent the Aussie ones good enough? Atleast I posted up cars that are from Australia.
-
lol I love how the guy posted up the VLs and R31s, found the nicest 31s he could find and the crappest looking VLs he could find (Excluding the Walky). Heres some "Real" VLs. BTW the bottom one is in my shed.

Welcome mate. Much respect for the XR6T.

Are Xr6 Turbo Drivers The New Commodore Driver?
RyanVLSL replied to morgsj50's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Yeah especially woth the XR6T, The VLT isnt as much of a threat as it uses a Skyline engine anyway. Well this doesnt have much to do with Turbo 6s but we just brought a VL V8 Calais with a worked 308, anyway since we had a hire car me and my mum were driving behind dad in the Calais as we were on the other side of Katoomba. So we're sitting at the lights when this group of P Platers pulled up beside dad i in a Hyundai Accent, so the tosser must of thought "Hey that guy has a V8 im gonna try and act like a hard c*nt* so he proceeds to rev his little 4 banger in attempt to drag the V8 Calais. I seriously dont know why people in shitty little 4 bangers try and run V8s, seriously I drove the Calais and the torque would've left the ricer in the dust, as its probably making about 200-250rwhp. -
Are Xr6 Turbo Drivers The New Commodore Driver?

Heat off imports? I was always under the impression the car that cops the most heat is the VL/VL Turbo because of all the stereotypes they get. -

I think we should just accept that a wanker is a wanker no matter what type of car they have. I couldnt give a flying f*** if they had a 600KW R32 GTR, if they act like a wanker they deserve to be treated like one too. I also think in a couple years time the XR6T will take over the "Fulli Hektic" stereotype that alot of VL Turbos get. -
Skyline Alternatives: Which Car Would You Buy?
RyanVLSL replied to jmac's topic in General Automotive Discussion

What Do You Have Done To Your Skyline"?
RyanVLSL replied to James Mramor's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Its the truth isnt it? Atleast I dont think everything on it is made by Holden. -
Yeah and the N/A RB30 too. B)
-
I place a bet that it will eventually come out with a BOSS V8. Also I agree, even the engine bay of a VL looks more interesting then that. Props to the RB30.

What Do You Have Done To Your Skyline"?
RyanVLSL replied to James Mramor's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Ahhhh can I answer since my car is pretty much a Skyline in a Holden shell? Anyway heres mine. K & N Pod Heat Shield Momo Steering Wheel Momo Foot Pedals Momo Gear Knob 18 inch VY SSs (Actually I think they are the same wheels as the Pontiac GTOs you guys have in Canada and the U.S) Yeah pretty stock performance wise. I'm still happy that its a factory 5 Speed and not a Auto. -
What Is The Deal With Commodore Drivers?
RyanVLSL replied to rb20inside's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Ok my VL cost $3000 and I dont come from a bad family does this still make me cheap shit? Its stupid judging by how someone lives by the type of car they have, for all we know there could be guys in R33s who come from drug families and have been on the dole for 10 years. So basically what you just said is import guys are BETTER than Commodore/Falcon guys based on their lifestyle? Funny how alot of the Commodores in Street Commodores have had $100,000 spent on them, im sure thats from the fortnightly pay from Centrelink. -
I didnt have a car in year 12 because I didnt go to year 12. When I was in year 11 though I had a 4 speed TE Cortina, I didnt drive it to school because I didnt even have my Ls but when I got dropped off in it the day I got it my mates laughed.

What Is The Deal With Commodore Drivers?
RyanVLSL replied to rb20inside's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Too true. Today I took my VL out for a spin for the first time in 2 months but I couldnt resist a bit of a squirt coming out of the roundabout lol. Its almost impossible to go your whole life without fooling in your car atleast once. -
How Do R33s Make That Noise
RyanVLSL replied to NUKEYA's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
I get a zzzzzzzzohhhhhhh noise from my pod on my VL. Its really noticable when it first gets started up. -
What Is The Deal With Commodore Drivers?
RyanVLSL replied to rb20inside's topic in General Automotive Discussion
I post on StreetCommodores.com on a regular basis and bad refferences to imports do happen but very rarely. However if you go to a Ford site the amount of "Whinging about Holden/Commodore drivers" happens almost every week. Alot of people say Ford guys are much more mature and have a open mind unlike Holden guys, I disagree with this as both sides have their good and bad representitives like any car brand. -

The only Commodore I dont see that has much of a "Family appeal" is the VL Turbo by far. -
What Is The Deal With Commodore Drivers?
RyanVLSL replied to rb20inside's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Its because Commodores are so cheap and they are everywhere, thats why the dickheads seem to drive them. But they are dickheads anyway regardless if they drive a Commodore or not, they're probably dickheads even while they're not behind the wheel of a car. Cars dont make people dickheads people make themselves dickheads. This is why the common stereotype of "Commodores wankers" pisses me off because they arent the only guys that seem to cause trouble. Sorry if im getting a bit defensive but I just dont like it when Commodore drivers always seem to get singled out in these type of threads.
