  1. man the Bee-r R34 kit is AWSOME!!! it will turn the front 3/4'sof your car into a R34. It is really expencive. It is the same price as like a Veilside or a IMPUL kit... all these kits will run you around $12,000 painted and installed. but man they are worth every penny!!! I recompend the Veilside C3 kti personaly... a guy has one here is Vancouver Canada and it is a real head turner. It has a gas relocation because it pushes your rear fenders out soo far! http://veilside.com/veilsideusa/frames.html
  2. As a Mechanic... white smoke is almost ALWAYS steam... I am guessing head gasket.. Have you lost any power? are you running hot?check the rad... you might have blown the head gasket!
  3. At SCI Motors (The best car shop in North America) we don't buy any auction cars... it is weird because since all cars are coming from people in Japan, not auction yards, there has only been 1 car that has had any problems (and i would say they were driver related problems, the guy drove the piss out of his car) So if auctions sell mainly crappy vehicals, then why do people always buy from them and then complain when they get burnt! This company )SCI Motors... www.scimotors.com I own MO18 and A99 ) has imported over 200 skylines. Yeah i know that dosn't really sound like alot but In Canada we all drive on the right side of the road....the combination of the RHD cars and right side driving on the roads makes people VERY skeptical of these cars...... I told my mom that i bought a RHD car and she started to cry and my dad FREAKED OUT. In Canada there are about 400 skylines that are working(another 68 in wrecking yards) , 200 imported through SCI and the other 200 imported from other randoms. Last stat that i read was that there are 42 skylines that have been in canada for 1 year and can't get re-insured because of the emisions. I also thought that it was weird that ALL 42 CARS WERE FROM AUCTION HOUSES and were sold to us(as in Canada) because they faild the shakan(Japanese emision/road worthyness) After that being said I have a friend that bought a 1990 Nismo GTR from an auction with 52,000kms on it and has not had a problem with it. he is at about 86,000 kms now and that is from 1 year of driving runnig 1.1 bar of boost. So if a Skyline in a auction yard sells for 400,000 yen and then you have TONNES OF TROUBLE... is it worth it to say ..."Ya, i have drivin a Skyline, mine is in the shop again!" I would rather spend 1600000 yen and say "Ya, I drive a skyline!! Haven't had a problem with it yet!" and have years and years of trouble free driving! Let me know what your thoughts on this... James!
  4. I have a OS Giken triple plate clutch and it is almost too much!!! the clutch is the cheep part (unless you get a double or triple plate) the Labour of getting it in is were all the money comes in! Get the best clutch that you can afford and stick with it! If you are looking for a good clutch i have herd great things about the Exeedy heavy duty. In Canada we really like the Nismo and OS Giken clutches for some reason I love my clutch but it is really heavy and it slaps me all the time... i guess she is making sure i know who is GODZILLA!
  5. What are you doing to your engine? are you going the forged internal route? or are you keeping it stock? Post what mods are done. Im really interested!!! I am a new GTR owner and i live in Canada, GTR's and the Skyline scene is my life!! My girlfriend hates it!
  6. Get them custom fabricated... it is alot easier to do that then try to fit all the other plumbing into a GTST Just bring it ot a shop and get them to put it in for you. they will CUSTOM make it for your exact car, not someone elses car! All R32 GTS-s are very similiar, but not the same.
  7. $4,000 is a lot of money, i don't know if anyone has asked you but this is going into a R32 GTS-T right? Just so we can get the engine right. RB20DET?! if that is the case what i would do is get a GTR FMIC (instaled should be about $1000), there is no need to go with a SUPER FANCY FMIC if you are not going to be pushing the power, it is,IMO, a waste of money. Get the Apex'i air filter (pod?)$150 good BOV (i have HKS SSQBOV and i like it)$150 upgrade the turbo to somthing special like a RB25 turbo ($500) injectors 444CC Nismos are good for GTS-T's($400) fuel pump (Walbro 255) In canada i got mine for $78.82 after tax then upgrade the computer to a Emanage or the new Emanage Ultimate ($600) This will bring you to $2900 so that will leave you with alittle music money! I think that you will be pushing about 300HP to the ground with a setup like this and then you will be blowing all your fellow r32's away. I think that this would even take a Stock GTR! that is some food for thought! I just realized that i did everything in Canadain dollars. so add 18% to everything and that is about the AUD conversion
  8. WOW... if that is original KM's and it is in "perfect condition" then that is a good price. I would be all over it!!!
  9. Somthing that is a Problem that Canada has to adress is that we can get a GTR in Canada for 13K landed. But the biggest problem with that is that these $13K GTR's are cars that don't meet the standards that Japan has to have them re-insured. so they know that Canada is the newest market and you can get anything into the countery so they are all coming here, and some people are making a KILLING off the cars that are worn out and have had teh race track under the tires thier hole entire life. So in canada the compliance issues are that they are too easy to bring BAD cars into Canada.I would say about 75% of GTR's that come into Canada should have or would have been crushed in Japan because of the emmisions and the accidents. I can across a guy with a GTR and he paid $18K for the car, but the car had been writen off 3 times in Japan. Is this a safe reliable car?Would this have gotten into AU?I think that you guys have to put up with some stuff but it is alot easier to come across a good import in AU then it is to get into a car like i just got in Canada. I just paid about $30K for my GTR and that is absolutly mint. Unfortunatly Canadians are being put off by these shitty cars that should never have gotten into Canada and they are getting a bad reputation for being unreliable cars. Your Govenment is doing a great Job and i think that the Canadain Gonvernment should learn a thing or 2 from the Aussies. Keeping in mind the Canadian dollar is with 18% more in AU. so my $30K GTR would have been $35,400AUD I have no clue what the R32 GTR's go for in AU, but that is a good one in Canada.
  10. another way is look at things that wear... like steering wheel, Pedals, the shift boot and hand brake boot. these are all high wear areas. So if the car says 30,000kms, but the rubber on the gas pedal looks like it is showing metal, then you know that the guy is lying. Ask the guy about tires... how many sets of tires that he has put on the car, and the seats should give a good referance to how much the car has been driven. In canada we are lucky.... you are not allowed to tamper with the dash AT ALL... if there is a light burned out , and the speedo has to be replaced you need to get a second mechanic to say YES this needs to be done... and EVERYTHING IS DOCUMENTED! If you are caught tampering with teh dash AT ALL you get some major jail time!
  11. Well this car is in Canada and it is in Canada!.... that is were i live. And the engine is being built... should be done in about 3 weeks!!! and yes that is enough.... in Canada, or at least SCI (the Skyline Shop www.scimotors.com ) we AUTOMATICALY re-build GTR engines Just because we want them to last as long as possible. In North America there is NO parts for Skylines so we have to get them from Japan, AU, or the UK. Keeping in mind we drive on the right side of the road in Canada. PS. RB26DETT's didn't come forged at all... most of the time some one is talking about a re-build and talking about forging, they mean that is what is going to be put in, not what originaly in there.but thanks for the comment!
  12. the differance is that the ones in the States and Canada are LEAGL and they are made to detect ALL t ypes of radar. They are alot more acurate and they will save you but you risk getting a larger fine for having one! I am glad that they are Leagl in Canada! Saved me MANY times!
  13. Hey guys I thought that i might post some pics of my car... I just bought it and i don't have it yet, because it is getting a full forged N1 Engine rebuild. this is Her... 1990 Skyline GTR 92,000 KM Full Nismo suspention TRUST/Greddy EVERYTHING Sard 550CC injectors OS Giken triple plate clutch Greddy Gauges :boost, exahust temp, and more (just can't remember lol) boost controller I am getting the Intake powder coated blue and i am going to be getting some BNR34 stock rims in a few months. The car had a Dyno before it left Japan and was putting 396HP onto the ground.
  14. The income in Canada... or were i live is about $64,000/ year. that is the yearly average for British Columbia. Our minimum wage in Canada is $8.50/ hour.. But the gas that is $3+/L is our race fuel 103 the 110 is $5+/L. I belive that the gas prices for our 94 Octane is sitting at $1.20/L right now. That is called "Super Premium" and we can only get it at 1 Gas Station. Cheveron. I think that our dollar is Slighty stronger then the AUD. $1 Canadian is worth $1.20 AUD
  15. the best gas that we have in Canada is 94 Octane with spending less then $3/L!!!
