  1. Yes battery, the standard intake(with metal forced in to stop it sucking shut) was just to restrictive. It feels very strong Scotty.... Its funny you mention the E85, Trent and I were talking about it and will be my next power mods(bigger injectors and pump). But I will be up for new semis soon and badly need a 2way, so more power will have to wait I am looking forward to seeing how it goes at Winton on Tuesday....
  2. OK, so it turns out the new intake made a significant difference. Old tune- 260.3Rwkw 414.9Nm New tune- 291.7Rwkw 492.1Nm Thanks to Scotty nm35 for the intake work. Thanks to Trent from Status tuning for yet another awesome tune!
  3. R34 is getting re-tuned tonight! I will post before and after results...........
  4. Hi all, I have searched in various sections but cant find anything and my apologies if this has been discussed before.... I have just installed a new alloy radiator in my R34 and want to make sure it doesn't have stray current running through the coolant which may harm my radiator. Has anyone had experience with this? I have a Digital Multimeter but am unsure of what setting to have it on etc. Any help in regards to this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, James
  5. It went very well, there didn't seem to be any reversion but due to the wet road I couldn't really push it. Thanks again mate, will keep you posted in regards to tune.
  6. A Big thanks to Scotty nm35, he made me an intake pipe perfectly. If anyone in Melbourne's SE requires custom pipe fabrication, shoot Scotty a PM im sure he will be able to help.
  7. Silicon pipes are good if you want to dress up your engine bay, but to produce the horsepower a larger intake is required. Silicon tends to suck shut with higher boost pressure. Appreciate the help though.
  8. Hi all, I'm after someone to make me up an intake pipe for my r34 GTT. Preferably stainless 3". I require 'barbs/nipples' for bov and circ. If anyone can fabricate this or can put me onto someone who can please let me know. I live in Melbourne SE suburbs and can drive car to you for trial fitting. I pay cash Thanks, James
  9. Just wondering if anyone knows where the sign in will take place? Is it possible(as some have to travel from Melbourne) to sign in on the morning of the Sunday event, as this is the case with many track days? Thanks, James
  10. Injectors and AFM still available Offers?
  11. Everyone has different tastes/ideas gun_metal_gtr32, just like the fact you've spent astronomical money on a GTT when you could have had a GTR. Not everyone is chasing huge power. "waste of money", depends how you look at it. He wants a slightly wider rear and wants to do it properly, instead of doing some dodgy aftermarket job. Do you have the belief that if you have the most power you will be the fastest on the track? to many variables pal. I may not agree with many of your mods/ideas but I don't try to destroy them. He asked a simple question, not to be told by a hypocrite about wasting money. Peace - James
  12. Bump I would be interested in any colour if someone wants to get rid of 1 cheap as I will get it resprayed. Cheers, James
  13. I think he is referring to the white smears or paint brush marks. What are they? Do you have(can you get) clearer pics?
  14. Hey mate, Quote from 666Dan 16 Dec 08- 'It detects non-consecutive firing (no change in load on the 12v line that would normally coincide with the firing signal pulse) that's why it throws up the code. Trying to fit an alternate ignition system will also throw up the code and put you check engine light on permanently. Forget the igniter pack, just fit a set of Splitfires suited for the R34 and be happy in the knowledge you'll never suffer ignition issues ever again' Not sure if it helps. James
  15. Nice times Richo! I was in my white 34 the same day you did the 38.8(winton). I managed a 1.43.3 in the cars first track outing. I have done 100s of laps around winton on a bike but not in a car. I think my lines are a little different to most(being bike orientated). Would be good to hopefully be put in your class next time and tag on the back to see what lines your taking. Are you heading over for the Nationals at Mallala in Sept? Cheers mate, James
  16. Hi Spence, I am heading over. I am in Melbourne and am most likely heading up through Horsham and Bordertown. I will be leaving Melbourne quite early on Friday and plan to be stopping in Bordertown for a quick break at around 8am. I have family in Portland and may be going home via Portland to see them on the Monday and staying there Monday night. If your keen on meeting up let me know. Cheers, James
  17. Hi all, I am after an R34 Coupe boot-lid with/without spoiler. Must be in a non scratched/non dented condition and prefer in black. Im located in Melbourne. Cheers, James
  18. +1 for Trent at Status/Chequered tuning! He tuned my R32 GTR years ago and has recently done a Nistune on my R34 GTT. Faultless tune and magic to drive! Goes out of his way to ensure the job is done right. James
  19. Coilpacks SOLD Injectors and AFM still available Cheers, James
