Hey Guys, I'm getting in on a group buy for GTR CF bonnets. We currently have 5 interested and are looking for another 5 people that are interested. Styles: At present I believe we can get designs similar to this: Or I believe plain. They are all hinged and dont have pins. From what I have been told it is not Aluminium with 1 layer of CF but completely CF. I will have more info soon. Price: From what I have been told $600 - $700. Not to sure, once again just looking at interest and I will ask for exact price and designs available in the next couple of days Anyways let me know via PM if you are interested fo shizzle

I wonder if the first thing the driver thought was " SH*T I just hit a horse" or "The horse has a huge schlong"

Just like me homie. Your only cool if your running on 3 wheels.

At the time it wasn't so humerous but now i look back on it I see it as an omen and have a good chuckle over it. I found a few things that definitely need looking into. At present it still has only 3 wheels but i have sourced a hub for $150 so I will get that fitted this week sometime. Tomorrow I will order the custom carpet and roof lining which should be ready by the weekend. After that its a full service and tune then registration time. After rego comes the paint touch up and she will be ready for show and tell.

so true. so true indeed

Yer looks like i broke the hub so i will need to replace the entire thing. There will be plenty of cruising once the car is licensed

CLASSIC! I like your sense of humor. Alrighty heres where I stand, ive managed to get this far: Ive replaced the studs and at the stage of attaching the clover disk to the drive shaft. Everytime I push it in the shaft back slides back in. Im not to comfortable beating the crap out of it now. So im hoping to grab some advice of some people who have done this before. Any advice would be good. Im about to cry as it has taken me a week to get this far.

"So whats she packing?" 3 wheels lol I tried replacing the studs on the weekend and god damn nothing seemed to work. I'm going to take both rear hubs off and take them to Nissan have them changed. Should be right after that.

fixed pics up. I chased the rim as quick as i could but after 2km of not finding it i gave up. I went back the next day and walked up and down looking even in the bush near the river. Nothing. Shame

I was running like an ethiopean after a can of baked beans. But a tyre at 100km/h can go pretty fast and pretty far on the freeway.

Cheers for the advice, hopefully it is just that. The car was a private sale and transported across from sydney

The car arrived last tuesday to the immediate accident and this has given me some time to focus on getting the car ready for passing the pits. Overall, the car is in pretty good condition. I've spent the last week scouring the car for issues that need my immediate fixing and I must say a few have come up with a few and looks like my plan to have it done by next week will be on hold. The car at the moment is stored in the garage and I ran it last night for 10 minutes to circulate the oil through the system. I gave it a few short bursts which produced a nice black circle of oil on the white wall behind the car. This left me with two thoughts: Turbo seal gone. Why did we paint the garage wall white. Also letting it idle I have noted she is running quite rich. Super. As i looked through the engine bay I grab eye of a powersteering leak and I have noted numerous things not being fastened: Radiator overflow bottle Intercooler piping AFM and Pod THE f**kING INTERCOOLER! So I grab some bolts and fasten the interooler to the mounts and am now looking for the mounts that are needed to hold the other parts. At least the engine is there. Second, the electrics. half the globes in the interior are out, including the 3 omari gauges. The oil temp omari gauge is out showing the temp as the highest possible without even running the car. As I check the headlight it seems the right hand headlight does not work at all. Hits the relay and then is dead. Super Third, the exterior. It is a bit of a pig but the photos i got showed the car and the kit in pristine condition. This is not the case. The front bumper has huge gashes in it, and also some deep scrathes down the sides of the car. So not only do I have to focus on this I have to still resolve some issues: 1. Horn - Needs to be installed 2. Carpets and Roof Lining - Needs to be installed 3. Fan Cover - Needs to be installed. 4. Hose to run from water to the windscreens to wash them - Needs to have them installed. This is as far as I got so far so here are the plans thus far: 1. Rear Left hub to Nissan to have the studs replaced after the severing of them. Install needed parts Full service and Tune:Replace Pads Replace all fluids Tune for 1.0 bar Power Steering Leak Turbo Gasket [*]Electrics - Gauges and Headlight [*]Paint and fixing of kit The paint and kit can wait until after rego so this is what im chasing: Electricians: Who do you recommend. I dont want a backyard job, I want a guy who knows Skylines. Paint: The car and paint is calsonic blue and I need someone to go over the car doing little touchups, anyone know of anyone decent? Cheers, Andrew
