    Permits

to get over the pits, i would advise to stay no more than 2" greater than stock if your not rolling on stocks. Finding stock wheels for a day is fine as I am going to borrow a set of rims to get mine over...which reminds me
  2. go to a shop that has both. Plonk one of each on at the same time. Problem solvered
  3. Well I got the car back last night from Down Under Panel and Paint (not recommending them to many people). $1300 later the chassis rails and floor have been straightened. Now I just need to get the carpets of masTers. If anyone knows him, throw him a message for me. The guys i needed to get the carpets off has absolutely no idea what i was on about. Then the boot seals and some degreasing and it should be done.

    Permits

Call them up and ask. Speculating isn't going to get you permits. Since I have been over the pits a few times already, the dude has said "You are not getting this car on the road with out permits for: ... ... ... ... ... ... ... "
  5. get grey and powder coat them white.
  6. Alrighty, the car has been in the panel beaters for a little over 2 weeks for the chassis rails and floor to be straightened ( a days job ) and still the end is no where insight. The guy who is doing it has sliced his foot open by some sort of glass. lol figures as much. HAHAHA
  7. Bike/Public Transport/Bumming Rides FTW! I used to drice a KB laser, snapped two engine mounts drive so i just welded them to the block. Good fun. I would get another if i had to get an everyday driver. Cheers, Andrew
  8. I'm trying to put a positive spin on it. I see it as "character building" and the frustration is subsiding due to my good friend Jenna Jameson. Cheers, Andrew
  9. Indeed I have, cheers guys.
  10. Cheers for the support guys. I will be visiting a solicitor soon to see if I have a leg to stand on.
  11. *sigh* yeah, seems like it hey. Well before work I just dropped the car off to the Panel Beaters to have the rails replaced and it seems like its not just the rails that are bent. This is just unbelievable lol
  12. Nope, it was the kill switch going faulty and now that have been removed. Well it failed the pits. The two big things: 1. Bent Chasis Rods. 2. All the boot racks need replacing Another week at most but most likely another 2K in repairs will go towards the car.
  13. From what i have been told the relays...
  14. Well its been a while since I have updated the progress on the struggle with the car. About two weeks ago, after nearly having a break down with the shit that had been completed, need replacing and what need doing I approached an associate at JShop and asked for a huge favor. An expensive favor (sanity or money ???).But at the rate that i was attempting to get it licensed I was happy to spend the money getting a professional to finish the job. So many issues have been brought to attention since its purchase and I am currently seeking some legal advice as there were a few serious concerns and neglect in the sale that were raised: 1. Car was sold with no front intrusion bar. 2. The only seatbelts that were fitted to the car were incorrect, the rear seat belts were used for the front and not attached correctly. 3. The diff was a stock diff, poorly weilded into a lock diff. This would of caused the issue with the wheel falling off. Not really wanting to go into details about it but I am looking for the cost of repairs and replacement for the rims. Well JShop has put nothing but there best effort into the car and after a week of hope they took the car to the pits early this afternoon. Well I get a call from them at around 4pm "the car broke down at the pits." Not on the way, at the pits. Come on guys, who can say this has happened to them. It seems to be electrical so hopefully Monday/Tuesday is the way to go. Rim shopping monday, nice set of 17/18s with 3" of dish. *bling*
  15. No shit, everything is rising except our wages.
  16. Are we still complaining about fuel prices or are we onto servo attendents now? We all knew that the fuel was going to go higher in price. This based upon the capitalist money hungry idiots in Sydney. I use to manage a few gulls around the place and we got the prices from over east. They would call us once a day around 4pm with the prices for the next day. My two cents, keep the fuel guzzling skyline for the crusing, weekend driving and times with the lads and buy one of the new gas/electric cars that VW or Honda are producing (good to pick up the girlfriend for a drive or pick your mum up and go shopping, although you will have to defend your sexuality). May look into getting a delorian i hear they run on garbage.
  17. "hope your car doesnt brake while there." pffft, just look after the car and you'll be fine. If your shit breaks, call Anytime Towing. Its a good drive none the less.
  18. collie ftw! dorifto here we come.
  19. Yeah you can rock up from 12:30 (im sure its a little after lunch) for a small entry fee, most of the time if you rock up in a car that resembles a drfit car they let you in for nothing. The last couple i went two i'm sure the was 12 or so cars hitting the track. Its picked up popularity recently so im sure there would be some decent dorifto on display. badga you hitting the track? Sheldon was saying you ran a 13.8 the other day?
  20. Chasing some stock wheels for the pits, if anyone has some please send me an email or pm me [email protected] Thank you, Andrew
  21. not yet i will do blue carpets soon, just got stock grey ones for now.
  22. engine work? yeah a little bit. I did end up having enough time to get to the pits so it will br tomorrow norning. Did get a dyno on it and it hit 275 bhp @ 7500 . Im a little dissapointed with the result as there is quit a lull from what i can see there is a remapping issue *sigh* another thing on the to do list. lols
  23. Well today is the day. To the pits we go, i doubt it will pass the first time round but heres hopingeh.
  24. who hasn't thought of them as nipples. lol
  25. One Step closer! just purchased the following: 1. Front Intrusion Bar 2. Front Bumper (optional) 3. Kick Panels 4. Fuse Box Cover 5. Fan Cover The Intrusion bar doesn't need any modifications at all which will allow for easy fitting especially the front bar. I will roll through the pits with a stock front bumper instead of the vertex for now. Just need a new front passanger seat belt, washer hose to connect to the nipples on the bonnet, the refitting of the gauges and i am set for the pits. * Andrew Humps a lamp post *
