  2. Hey Guys, I have an issue that is a little bit on the weird so please bear with me and I hope I can provide all necessary information. Since I have owned the car it has never idled to a satisfactory level. Prior to some tinkering it idled at around 700 rpm and continuously hunted for the correct rpm by revving up to 2000 rpm and then back down. From time to time it would stall. When I first purchased the car the turbo manifold was non existent and had to have both the exhaust manifold and turbo manifold replaced. Since then it has from time to time not been firing on all cylinders and would skip and splutter if you know what i mean. On the weekend I removed the rocker cover and cleaned them up. I replaced the gasket and put it all back together, since that day it idles at 1300rpm with no hunt but splutters a little more constantly. When I rev it out to 2000-3000 rpm it doesn't splutter or skip at all. I have read you can reset the ecu (mine is a JUN rechipped stocker) by removing the positive terminal on the battery and pressing the break pedal. I can say with a 90% surety that I did this. Would this sound logical? I believe it to be a coilpack/injector issue. I am replacing both in the upcoming weeks with the raplacement of the ecu on the horizon. The current setup is the rb20det with stock coilpacks and injectors. However the car does have 2 extra injectors running off of the Greddy Rebic controller. I will be looking at removing the 2 extra injectors and rebic to run new coilpacks and sard 550 injectors. Any thoughts and comments would be greatly appreciated. Andrew

The ECU and GCC? Ive been told that I will need a new wiring harness as well. Any thoughts for the noob. It may just be easier going the bikirom.   8. fo shizzle. Thanks for the indepth advice. Looks like the PFC or HKS is the way to go. Im happy with the amount of power my car is putting out and after tune I will be turning my eye to beauty. I have been looking on the yahoo auctions and can find both. Only thing is if it needs new harnesses.

  10. Why put the plate on the right? You know the answer and so do police. Its the same as not having the plate on or bending the plate. Just be thankful they didn't yellow you. Sh*t like that is what they pick on and yes its all their fault. Obscuring your plate is an offense and you can cop a $100 fine and a yellow sticker. If I were a cop I would do the same for your stupidity.

  12. I have had this argument time and time again with people from all positions in society. Does society see us, the "enthusiast" as a menace and a threat? to simply put it yes. When I ask how they came to this conclusion in every instance it revolved back to the medias stance on what the hoon is. The penalties reflect the nature of crime. Sure they are a little steep but it is still acceptable. You get three chances only in Australia will you get that. Besides the world will keeps spinning...unless you're emo. I drive my skyline on the weekend and I find that I am profiled. I am more concerned with how the police profile the "hoon". For example, Last weekend I was pulled over for "random license and vehicle inspection" three times. They even started asking unrelated questions that I did not answer but thats another story. If you want to be a tool on the road why not just take it to barb's or the plex? Cheers, Andrew
  13. That is so god damn sexy. That is exactly how I plan to do mine so now I have to change my ideas. Looks like all shiny for me then. I will give briffa a call tomorrow to get the rocker covers, plenum and all intakes done.

  18. I am happy to remove the extra injectors, i never was a fan of them to begin with. This will atleast get rid of the rebic as I dont believe it is entirely accurate. Cheers for the comments i guess for the time being I'm happy to tune it as a cruiser, I dont drag/drift often and I am happy with its current power output. I guess any ecu can give me what i want with no worries but it seems to be bang for buck.

    Yo, Let me know how the fitting goes. I have to do a "forced" upgrade of rear bumper so I am looking towards the DL style kit for the 32. How much did the spitfires cost you? Pics of fitting would be tops. good on you mum

  23. Hey Guys, Its time to get the R32 Rb20 tuning sorted. At present Im running the Stocker with a Jun rechip, at present it seems to be having a remap issue. Its also misfiring a little in the higher rpm. The car has two extra injectors connecting to a Greddy Injector Controller Rebic. At present the car is running 320-330hp at the wheels. Wondering what you use, recommend and why. Im doing a little research before I commit and want to know whats out there. Cheers, Andrew
