i think all cops carry those 35% cards..not really a meter, just a card they stick behind your window with a "35%" on it. if you cant read the writing from the outside then its possibly too dark/reflective and they yellow you. thats what they used on me last year.

thx. Yep Dsturbd, clutch in, no noise...clutch out and its grinding. 1st and 2nd gear are pretty noisy in drive too. My mate said the same thing about the bearing. Im tossing up whether to spend time pulling the gearbox apart and getting replacements or get an r33 gearbox, i would hate for the rb20 to do it again. (not sure how common it is with rb20s) Hopefully some have had similar experiences and can suggest one way or the other.

Ive been getting some gearbox noise for some time now, just lately it is getting worse. Apparently this is relatively common in rb20's, has anyone heard/experienced similar? Regardless, something has to be done, either pull it apart and diagnose - which involves possibly sending it away for a bit, or spending $800+ on fixing, or sourcing an r33 box as a replacement. Has anyone had this problem and attended to it? Or know a place in perth to find an r33 box? cheers av
