  3. thats a very good result mate well done to your tuner..i have exactly the same mods except for dump/front pipe and no high flow cat and im sitting on 174rwkw so im guessing this is the difference in getting near 200rwkw..well done
  4. Sorry if this has been asked in the previous 13 pages...but, this is my first trackday so i have a few questions.. What exactly is required? 1. Obviously a helmet, long sleeved shirt, anything else..? 2. Bonnet catch? Battery sticker thingy? 3. Also can we mount a camera inside our cars to catch the action? Will this pass scrutineering? 4. Do we need a fire extinguisher? Thats about it really.. Cheers
  5. any idea what fuse i have the same problem..
  6. Sorry mate i must have thrown the receipt out so i dont know about the part numbers but as someone said just go into your pirtek store and tell them what your doing..as you can see from that photo all you need to do is clamp the pump onto the cradle, widen the gap at the bottom of the cradle so the pump sits a bit lower, cut off the little metal fuel line that originally connected to the standard pump so its not in the way, and use the standard fuel line to connect to the top of your new pirtek fitting..
  7. yeah mate i got the rotors and im very happy with them, thanks for organising everything....
  8. yeh its possible i installed mine about 3 weeks ago..bosch 044 mounted intank in an r33 gtst its not hard at all, just read those threads on how to get it out, but you dont need to buy any extra fuel hose or anything like that. i needed to get a fitting to replace the one on the top of the pump from pirtek which cost me $48 all up and a 3" hose clamp to secure it to the standard pump cradle..also needed a fitting machined from pirtek so you can use the standard fuel pick-up/filter on the bottom of your 044. if you want part numbers i can dig them up tonight..also to hook the power and earth wires to the pump from memory was a 5mm and 6mm fitting.
  9. Im about to mount an 044 in-tank in my r33 gtst but i havent found any DIY for this particular install, just a gtr install, so any tips would be good..ill try and get pictures to put a tutorial together
  10. I know that you know.. but i have PAID!
  11. Add 2 extra people to the list who will be coming along with me, both skylines (r32, r33)...
  12. Ive done similar in my r33 by hiding my boost controller in the pocket ill get pics if you want
  13. anyone? Im going to replace the O2 sensor today as this may be contributing to the problem but i doubt it would be the main factor.. basically its running like its in limp mode its similar to when my AFM was unplugged. also its running quite rich and blowing alot of smoke any help would be appreciated
  14. And i noticed that this time around the power fc said ignition timing at idle was 24 derees
  15. Ok well ive replaced the exhaust manifold gasket and the turbo gasket while i was at it but its still playing up. Ive swapped between the standard ecu and the power fc but this makes no difference. It sounds as if the engine is running without the AFM plugged in but that isnt the problem. When the car is idling it sounds as if it is maybe not firing in one cylinder or something along those lines. If someone could give me some suggestions that would be good.. Cheers Ben
  16. Have a look at this page http://paulr33.skylinesaustralia.com/
  17. Well driving home last night my exhaust manifold gasket shit itself near the rear of the engine (firewall). It drove fine for a while but after turning the car off then back on the engine would not idle at all without me holding the throttle about half open. If i let the throttle off it would drop from 100 revs upto 500 but it was struggling to idle basically. I have a power fc and i noticed timing was 20 degrees on idle, and from memory i think it usually sits on 15 degrees, not sure if this is related though.. Anyone have any suggestions to this problem? Right now im going to replace the exhaust manifold gasket and try to find out whats going on.. Cheers
  18. the vg30 rear housing gives 450hp i think so thats one option i was thinking of
  19. Thanks for the help guys i appreciate it.. Well im pretty much sold on the hybrid cooler just for the price and opinion of others who have them. Also i didnt realise the bosch 044 can be mounted in-tank so im now going that route. As for injectors ill go with 550/555 (depending on brand) just looking around for the cheapest price/good brand, etc. Z32 sounds the way to go.. But as far as turbo choice, im stuck between the gcg highflow (450hp) or a GT30 which is internally gated and has a rear housing to suit the rb25. These are both the same price but the catch is the gt30 needs oil and water lines to be changed around. Anyone have a suggestion here? Cheers
  20. Im at the point where i want to upgrade my turbo and considering the success had with the gcg highflow turbo thats the way i want to go. Ive read the threads on rb25 turbo upgrade but just want to ask a few questions. Basically what other mods do i need to do to get the full potential of the turbo? So far i have: Pod Filter Turbo Back Exhaust Blitz Dual SBC Spec S Power FC + the usual suspension, brakes, clutch mods that have been done. From what ive seen this turbo is good for 250rwkw to 270rwkw?So i just want to get the right parts for this power output.. I plan on getting: Hybrid FMIC (600x300x76) Bosch 040 Fuel Pump Things im not sure about are: Injectors, what brand, size, etc? Z32 AFM is it needed? Thats pretty much it i think, im just after your opinions and suggestions Cheers
