  1. im hoping to score a ticket for friday of him so sure we will catch up;)

Found out the GT program has all of friday free so that might clear quite a bit of time for me

I have a feeling the V8 pits are going to be rather busy in all the teams i'm associated with given the new COTF so will spend some time in there but keeping clear of getting in the way

  2. Well time for a 1 thread of the year:

Will the New Brands bring in more interest?

    Theres the odd looking Nissan

and then the car that oozes sex... The might AMG E63, Looks great ( some what biased) and sounds even better :-D

I'll be around, not sure what my commitments are at the moment to pre Arrange catch ups but will no doubt cross path with Mr Nightcrawler

  3. there are normal photos, re: Paris motorshow. it's good to see it on a track. google 'McLaren P1 Bahrain' for more

anywho- full production specs in 3 weeks at Geneva motorshow

Saw it at the Paris motorshow was much more impressed in person than in photo's. Was invited onto the McLaren stand but didn't have time, as had some other business there.

  4. Good to see nissan in v8 stupid cars

But its So restricted to match up to ferd and sloden and not even close to a street car

Even holden and ford run old crap for engines not the newer blocks and heads

Give me gt1,2,3 cars instead like England runs

Or play the game like old days , run what you bring and they put you in a class with pretty open rules till they cant beat you , then they ban you from the class like poor losers

Nascars even worse , big babies cant race in rain or on tracks with a few holes or dips , rarely a twisty track either

No such thing as a GT1 Nissan these days series died out as too expensive, GT2 never made, GT3 were too unreliable and liked to sit back and BBQ each race.

New Spec GT3 car for 2013 hopefully Nissan stop acting like spoilt princesses and actually make and sell them... limited to 10 cars what a F'ing joke Nissan your not a fancy rare supercar you pride yourself on the GTR being the affordable hypercar so why make the race version a) sooo expensive ( one of the most expensive GT3 cars) and b) so rare and hard to buy?

also the all GT versions ( GT500, GT1 & GT3) are NOTHING like the street car... I would say about as far away from the street car as V8's are ( well maybe not quite that far)

Oh well Rant over, will enjoy seeing the GTR will be schooled by the Bentley GT3 when it starts competing at the end of the year, not that I am biased ;)

  5. Whiplash do you know if Erebus are using the pace innovations chassis or are they using a team accredited chassis from someone else?

My understanding is SBR were an accredited "manufacturer" but don't hold me to that, hard barely anything to do with anything under the skin

  6. good luck this year, you must be stoked with what the team are doing. I understand there's some senior guys with a mile of experience in the category coming on board too.

and while I'm at it, well done with the B12H victory last weekend too...great way to start the year

Unfortunately i don't work full time with the team so was sitting in Adelaide watching the race online, was a great result to see, good for the team to step up and get the good result prior to starting in V8's... the base team has had success over the years, Betty's first team won the Aussie F3 series and competed in Asia as well

so.... Bernd Schneider for Enduro driver after B12 hr stints?

  7. ^ congrats dude, the cars look stunning. Really hope they and Nissan mix it with Ford and Holden. I'm actually quite pumped for this year and will def get out to races in NSW.

Haven't watched a race on telly for years let alone been out to one, but can't wait now.

Cheers has been great working with the team and the cars, been nearly 12 months since i started on the designs!! and has been quite fun watching all the debate on will they wont they ect :-D

  8. Been a long time coming for me, but here is the 2013 E63 AMG from Erebus Motorsports. Started working with Erebus early last year in developing the initial concept behind the AMG V8 Supercar, and the early development of the aero package.

  9. Red bull will pay the legal fees and any entitlements given to monster.......

I'm hearing the Monster Contract is a lot more air tight than the T888 one!

Monster unhappy about the money they have put in to build up the image of My Whincup in that market to have Redbull step in and take up that presence

Monster only really have SVG, Holdsworth, Erebus, and the Fujitsu car left ( shows how little time they have spent marketing the full car they sponsor i don't even know who drives it) that have all had minimal media time with monster

Yesterday it was also announced DJR have lost Jim Beam, which leaves them very little - no money. End of an Era?

  10. Troubles in the T888 camp

The Red Bull Racing team for next year has one of its drivers in a contract to Monster!!

    http://www.speedcafe.com/2012/11/09/monster-energy-set-to-take-jamie-whincup-to-court/

Was at the Clipsal Launch yesterday with the Erebus boys, whose role was rather disappointing with the SLS doing 1/2 a lap of the temporary track where no spectators were only to park.

Ken Block for on track entertainment every day, KISS & Motley Crue in concert on the Friday night

I was surprised to see they let Courtney and Davidson do some laps with each other around the temporary circuit ( at a reasonable speed) in just shorts T Shirt and no Helmet. If anything had happened that would have been a legal nightmare! All stemming from Courtney having to fill in for a sick Tander at the last minute and Courtney refusing to wear someone elses helmet and racing suit, which is understandable but Shit hapens

  11. It was put out there right at the start of the COTF announcement that all new cars / body's will be independently aero tested for parity prior to the 2013 season.

Clipsal Launch at Vic Park next friday from 12 - 1.30pm

  12. Will be honest and say i have ONLY concerned myself with the AMG stuff this year but I think the ford and holden are using the same as this year, hence the testing already? so if anyone can correct me please go ahead

at the end of the day the aero / engines are all being parity tested to bring them in line with the holden and ford cars.

I will be at the clipsal in the Erebus silver / black (again) so Nissan is more than welcome to 4th out on track being the Mercs!! ;)

  13. With a change to a control Silhouette series this will put more emphasis on engine and aero performance.

Nissan - due to be released next week

    Holden - new VF coming

    Ford - continues to decline

Erebus / SBR - AMG bodied / engined but privately funded

Will the increase of manufacturers help build interest?

Will the new chassis formula shake the grid up or is it still going to be an FPR / 888 white wash?

  14. ^same as above not a fan of the front spoiler with odd round holes, looks worse with the white one that got sold

normal Juke has just been confirmed by nissan for sale here mid next year.

as cool as they are there are many other cars i would buy before a Juke

    Nismo one looks overly complicated
