  1. Why mess up ya stock wiring when u can just disconnect the the stock boost control solinode un plug it and bin it. Then just run some vacume hose from ya cooler pipe to ya wastegate? Has the same outcome (max wastegate preassure) looks cleaner and is heaps quicker.
  2. By safe A/F's did u measure using a wideband meter with a 3rd gear launch to redline on aus fuel 98 octane? Also would ya mate b interested in trading with my mines? I can get the specs for ya but my mate that is borrowing it said runs way to ritch with stanard injectors.
  3. NO, and read Nissans workshop manual on "SELF" diagnostics (There's 3 modes and heaps of crazy stuff goes on). I just wanna know what colour the cables (OR ECU PINS) so i can wire a push button switch to it. Series 2 RB25's dont have a flate blade screw on the side of the ecu like all the older RB's have which is kinda annoying. Oh and my engine is in a cef so there's now way i can trace the cables to the plug either.

  5. I have a manual & Auto cef tail shaft. Also have a R33 manual tail shaft. let me know what u want. Fact: RB25 boxes have a much large yolk (whatever the tailshaft bit that goes in the box is.) so u cant use a 20 tail shaft. u also cant use the front half of the R33 tailshaft cos there center bearing is in a different position. What i did was measured it up and got a custom single piece tailshaft made up. hope that helps.
  6. BUMP Sumone out there has to have some cef wiring diagrams ok knowledge they can hook us up with. How do u wire a auto cef to think its always in netural? (where are the plugs u have to short out or earth) cheers Davo.
  7. The cluster between series one and two are different i have one of each they both work tho if that helps.
  8. If it runs fine but takes ages to start make sure there is a start signal sent to the ecu. It advances the time heaps to make it start quick.

  12. Hey cheers for that i know your refering to the plug in the fuse box. Could u plz tell me the colours of the cables so i can track it to the ecu as i'm not running my 25 in a 33.
  13. I'll second that, sounds like a AFM failure, check plugs on good. Borrow a mates AFM and check if the problem goes away.
  14. Hey all got sum dramas hope someone with the same problem can help me out. I'm just trying to start self diagnostics with a RB25 series 2 and want sumone to confirm which 2 cables at the ecu do i short for 2 secs to enable diagnostics. (45 &47?) I put the engine i my cef and everythings sweet except i'm gettin rev limiter or boost cut feeling at about 3-4g. (I'm running wasgate boost 8ish psi and have unpluged the standard boost control solinode and hope that hasnt upset the ecu.) Any help or hints and ideas would b great. cheers Davo.
  15. Oh forgot to say on that link click the english version banner then click the inquiry banner then click the Q3 link. Then all u have to do is fill in info of ya car and they'll get bak to ya wif whats done to that ecu. Also did u hear any ping on 98 octane fuel? and when u installed ya mines ecu did u check your base timing?

This VX-ROM is for CA18DET, MT, vehicle year (May.1989 - January.1992).
  17. all the specs are on the mines site (mite need to google/translate some of it). Umm a mate is using my ecu atm so i cant check but from memory it has a gold and silver mines sticker on it and on one of those is a serial or reference number. I remember trying to look up stats ages ago its a bit of a hassel tho.
  18. With a mines ecu are they model specific or can u run them on both series 1 & 2? Also could u post the Mines serial number in the first thread so i can look up the specs for it as i have one tuned for massive mods and am interested in yours. cheers Davo.
  19. Its a series 2, white in colour. by the rear garnish do u mean where is says skyline on the boot? Oh and can anyone give me a heads up on how to edit and update my first post? there's no edit tab wtf lol soz for the newbie q's havnt used SAU for a while. cheers.
