  1. Some pics of my setup and external oil pipe too, ill change to braided when i get the chance same thing goes for the cam belt cover i do plan on making something to cover the GAP!!

Brad if you use the 4wd sump adaptor then it blocks off the oil feed on the rb30 block so you can run the external one instead, remember when assembling your motor to do all the 4wd sump mods first before putting the bottom end togther as it is a hell of a lot of work and even if you purchse one of those 4wd adaptor plates there is still a lot of modifying to be done! Plus you dont want pieces of metal getting into your motor with all the grinding down of the block and drilling... The 4wd diff runs down the centre where the oil feed is on the rb30 block, on the gtr or gts4 block the oil feed is slightly further forward, hope that makes sense

Hi Brad the oil pickup cant be in the middle of the 4wd sump because thats where the diff is, so you will have to relocate it somewhere else, i put it as low as possible to the bottom of the sump and also as far back towards the buldge before the diff to ensure on launches that the oil is still picked up well. Now drill a hole in the webbing on the side of the sump and tap a thread in that, this will be where the oil pickup screws into. Then on the outside all you have to do is fit a fitting with a barb on it and then connect a hose from this to the oil pump, i would use braided hose just to be sure. Ill take some photos and post them up soon so you can see maybe it will make more sense then!
  4. Hi mate connect the fitting that comes out of the side of the wastegate into your intake piping and one on top to your boost controller, if you dont have a boost controller just leave it as it is.

  6. Wondering how much oil an rb25/30 takes with a 4wd sump on it? I am also using a custom adaptor plate for the 4wd sump so this would mean i can add more oil? if so how much more?? Im trying to figure out what size to cut the dipstick down to, as the stock one was way too long.

  8. Ok ill see if i can get my hands on an adjustable fuel reg, dont they just increase the injector duty cycle if the injectors arent big enuff? wastegate is set to 13psi...
  9. Ow ok goodluck with it bro! Mark will be doing the tunning i think, im running stock 270 injectors think they have been hi-flowed or something due to the fuel consumption! My fuel pump is aftermarket remember you heard it who knows whats been done to these injectors... im running stock cooler, afm too hopefully this wont cause any probs!
  10. Yer what happened??? Did the resistor pack for the Gtr injectors not work and stuff you power fc??? Damn , yer i am getting her tunned on wed at tilbrooks, havent pushed her past 3500 yet

  14. Yes a BA Gt bonnet scoop like this might be the plan like the one below, cubes what does that jun style one look like?
  15. Yer i tried spacing up the rear of the bonnet and didnt work, im not going to play with the cross member for obvious reasons, looks like its going to have to be a bonnet scoop...
  16. I have cut the support braces off, its touching on the bonnet itself where the corner of the inlet manifold is... i really dont like driving around with my bonnet half open LOL
  17. Thats is a good result!!! Wondering if anyone has solved the bonnet clearance issue??? I have now been driving around with my bonnet open LOL and i dont want the cops to pull me over...
  18. Ok well at least im not alone , ill be calling ATS tomorrow, must be a seal problem by the looks of things if you have the same problem...

LOL yes i did hook it up wrong and i didnt have a dipstick in but it did blow almost 1Litre of oil out of the dipstick hole and the oil in the dipstick and the rocket cover went a milky colour due to the presurising then my car started to blow tonnes of blue smoke when reving i thought it was a blown headgasket then i realised i had completely blocked the breather on the plenum.... OOPS I think this is the excess oil that would have been blown through then as there was oil only around where the hose clamp fittings where hence maybe it had been there a while. I have noticed a wind down noise from the turbo when i turn her off is this normal?? At the moment i have connected my catch can as follows, i have left hose from plenum to both cam covers then where it used to go back into the intake piping i have hosed it into one side of the catch can and the other side of the catch can is venting to the atmopshere...
  20. Yes my car was hunting up on idle from 300-800, and i can see the oil stain on the pod filter... Ok ill get some pics as soon as i have a chance, there are no pipes connected to the intake before the turbo at all. What do you mean by checking the flow???

Yes thats what im thinking "Crank case pressure", because at one stage for one start i did block my oil breather up when i was connecting up the catch can, maybe this is the excess oil from then, i noticed it started to blow smoke then and once i fixed it up stopped, lucky i didnt blow the oil seals in the motor... this was all caused because i hooked my catch can up the same way as in an r33 and my car being an r32 i didnt realise i had blocked the oil breather... What the best way to test the oil drain and see if it is draining well enough???
  22. Yes Turbo seal or could it be turbo drain???
  23. Turbo is a garrett Gt3540 i took intake piping off and noticed there is oil infront of the intake impellor and also in the oulet pipe to intercooler what does this mean??? Perhaps this has got to my AFM hence why i have had idle problems, i have noticed when i turn the car off i hear the turbo wind down for about 30 seconds after. Surely the oil seals cant be leaking its a brand new turbo!
