I have a December 1993 R32 GTR does that have the updated crank collar? Just planning a complete rebuild and would like to know what CRANK MODIFICATIONS are needed to fit the new N1 oil pump? Or would a brand NEW R33 GTR crank be better?

Any idea on the exact parts that may need replacing? And other parts that need attention (maching/honing/balancing, etc)? Also looking for workshops in Melb VIC that can rebuild RB26DETT's.. I was considering a rebuild with standard internals but low mount HKS turbos.. Would this be much cheaper than forged pistons and aftermarket internals?? Thanks for any advice..

Engine/Car: R32 GTR 93 Type of failure: Rear turbo wheel exploded under boost. Ceramic fragments are causing knocking sound and very low compression (90psi) in cylinders 4,5,6. Not yet fixed! Factors influencing the failure: Just picked up car from docks with Apexi AVCR boost controller. Unsure of boost level, was running fine until it was pushed past 5000rpm. Then BANG! State of tune of the engine: Trust intercooler, Mines ECU, HKS pod filters, full 3" exhaust, Apexi electronic boost controller, Blitz BOV's.. General comments: Very unfortunate, turbo blew before the chance to dyno tune. Car in very good condition (85,000kms) full Jap service history. I'm guessing boost controller was to blame for high boost (although it only displayed 0.65 bar).. ANY SUGGESTIONS ON A BUDGET REBUILD OR REPLACEMENT? (CONSIDERING STANDARD NISSAN PARTS WITH UPGRADED TURBOS...) HAS ANYONE EXPERIENCED THIS? ANYONE KNOW WHAT INTERNALS WOULD BE AFFECTED AND WOULD NEED REPLACING/REPAIRING?

I picked my car up from the docks recently, however it is in need of a check up and dyno tune. I was going to get the car running in good order before taking it to the compliance workshop. Is there any official information to state that the car does NOT have to go directly to the RAWS workshop? Is there also information that states the car can be complianced a year after arrival date? Thanks BBGTR. The info in FAST reflects exactly what the blue engine plate states. Do you happen to know how to decode: KBNR32RXFS7 AA ?? I'm guessing it's standard GTR factory gear.. My car has older-style Recaro seats, does anyone know if these are a factory option? Is there a post that states all the factory options available with R32 GTRs? Thanks for all your help!
