  1. Rain is GTR only chance. If it rains enough I will through the anchor out as a handicap and you will have a hope. Or drag fatz RB30 around. Only a zed with cheap motor in it, have your go. Reground cams cost me as much or less than a night out with fatz, turbo's cost me bit over 2 k for two. Maybe it's the GTR modded Power FC we run that does th trick.
  2. Yes but what if Neil slip streams me we will both pass you GTRJASON. You coming to this one Neil? Paul L MADGTR calls me front bum. I think is it because I don't do track days in the wet?
  3. Only for the straights as can't get traction the rest of the track, and Jason is 22spi to make only a little more power than mine on 17psi, so guess who might be a candidate for blow up.
  4. You can do better than that Paul baby and yes at least not just talk.
  5. I will hook up my push to pass button on steering wheel which will go from 360rwkw which I have been running at 17psi to 415rwkw or more at 22psi for the straights that's fix up your GTR Jason. Might get a button for the rear screen electric hand wave too. Light weight one of course. What's this blow off again anyway?
  6. Old and driving a chock now hey? Big break through on the Slot Car though as Richard new mech here and suspension specialist, has corner wieghed and adjusted as it was way out, also fixed bump steer problem and also found my brake bias in cabin adjuster was broken so was almost full front brakes last event at least. Can't wait to test it. fatz fix that front camber and put all your wheel nuts on for this one fatz as this one is fast. You are the ultimate in go to the track what ever in though. That's the spirit.
  7. If a big dog does not piss in the car park and my gazillion dollar workshop zed GTR killer is not in bits I will be at this one for sure. I will be a young 42 years old on this day to so will go out and have some fun chopping up some Skyline. Actually I was talking with GTR Jasopn yesterday about this day and he is up for it as has his motor back together and in the car and ready to roll.
  8. Top Day first Aaron McGill day I have done and tops fun the littel race at end of the day. Nathan from Grey Imports is a good driver and was hardest by far to past as he made his car very wide. Hope to hook up with Aaron M for future days. PS Always check brake pads prior to the day.
  9. I just spoke to Theo who told me on Sunday he ran 9.07 156.25 mph floppin huge effort. I told him to keep flying the flag. I have a bit of work to catch him now.
  10. No pre requisites and I am sure will cater for all types of cars and drivers other than those with think their cup is full. He he. Ian Luff will be part of the day and he is in high demand and one of Australia's leading driver training specialist and a great team. I like his blunt dry humour but some softies get offended I guess. Plus I would rather be told what to do and why I am doing wrong, rather than have someone agree with something wrong. There will be plenty of track time and those who go will sure to improve their performance a lot. I have been going to Oran Park scince 1984 and been around it many times but always willing to listen to someone indepentant and with more experience and techniques.
  11. Fixed it now. I will bet if some of you guys did this day you would be less frustrated and go seconds faster and safer.
  12. Opportunity to get some track time and driver training. Looks good and I will be in this one. Practice does not make perfect, perfect practice makes perfect, otherwise might develop bad lines and bad driving habits. Check it out. http://www.ianluff.com.au/pdf/opentrackday.pdf
  13. At least he is waving the flag and supporting and promoting. Common Benm get your GTR out and have a go. Apart from Paul L lots of GTR owners are in perpetual "My car is not ready syndrome", whilst GTS-T owners are doing laps. This event sounds different and chalenging, are zeds alowed? I would be in for it. I like Oran Park best of all the circuits.
  14. Well Paul I reckon I would be in this one. Just spoke with GTR Jason who nearly has his R32 GTR going to finally get out and give me a hard time. He said he will push to have car ready for this one.
  15. Yep awesome flame thrower best I have seen and very distracting driving behind it. Fatz I only run around 370rwkw for circuit. Fun to wrestle it down the straight dodging Skyline mobile chicanes.
  16. Yes Paul you were going alright until the skirt thing. I dont own a skirt and not good for business. You are a lose cannon though and I admire your pezaz.
  17. Yep big Thanks Duncan and Adam and all for putting your time and effort it. Duncan must be painful just watching. I found out why I had so much rear wheel spin. I thought maybe the tyres were off but found my tyre pressure gauge was faulty and was reading 5 psi lower than actual so I had way too much tyre pressure. Paul L 29th sounds the go. I am adrenalin junky. You and I need to go to Motorsports anonymous, along with Benm and probably a few others. My wife and kids are starting to wonder.
  18. Good, bring it on, and do you think I will be standing still? We have plans. Yes you now see slicks are not aways better and Michelan are much better than Yoko slicks and heat cycle much better. Yep when I was running these slicks everyone was saying " Yeah but you are runnin gslciks and not fair and bla bla" Now they are crap. Bit of dirt on track on the right hander after the bridge I found out the drifters were there on the Friday night chucking it around.
  19. More results from SAU GP Circuit Track Day at Oran. Track Day Link.
  20. Good time ther Paul L on SLICKS. I ran Hoosier Semi Slicks which are very good although wrong profile as nto enough side wall in rear and wheelspinning a lot as not enough cushion effect I think. Anyone going to Eastern Creek Next Sunday for Super Sprint? I will there. Time are here Speed Boat Wins. http://www.natsoft.com.au/cgi-bin/results....04/2006.ORGP.S2
  21. If you want to be out with some Zed's ( boats ) some fast boats though , our next track day 17th September at Wakefield.
  22. I might come along now that you are in Mad GTR Paul L. Adrenalin is adictive hey. I have not done Oran Park GP since 1984 in my RX3 Street Sedan.
  23. They must have different Porsche's in QLD as down here a GT3 Carrera Cup will smash our times. One of our customers , John Webb, who races the new GT3 sequential job does a minute flat at Wakefield on full NEW slicks though.
  24. My wife is the bean couter and not fussed on cars or race cars much so a bit of smoke and mirrors. Yes claim it all on tax but funds are tight. The Hoosiers cost me almost half what Dunlops or Bridestone semi's cost me. They are radials and DOT approved.
  25. Hey some might think I am rallying zed owners onto the Skyline forum. At least I have GTR parts in my zed what are you guy's doing over here?? Hey by the way here is the times and notice an R32 GTS-T in the 51 bracket also very good. Faster than a few GTR's also, what's going on. Also Reddy good time in the 51's. Huge improvement from the last one. GTR Jason popped in yesterday to the track but car not ready otherwise he would have been in there re the times too I suspect. Track Times
