Just curious to how to clean the engine bay. Has anyone tried to spray degreaser all over it and spray it with water? Just asking because i just noticed thats what the can of degreaser tells you to do. Would it be safe? Thinking of electrical wires and other things. What i have tried is to just spray degreaser onto the engine bay and start wiping. It works. My friend cleaned his old v8 with a can of degreaser. Afterwards, it looked like it he bought a new engine. It was nice and shiny. Has anyone else have tried any other ideas besides getting a professional to clean it. Also if people do want to try the degreaser and you have a 10-5 year old engine, may i suggest a lot of cloths because i ended up using one cloth for just about the plenum before it turned black

Hey just to let you know welcome to the skyline world where modifying your car depends of how deep your pocket is. Dont worry thats what i have learnt, power isnt cheap. Im also from Penrith, Emu Plains area actually. Drop me a pm if you need any help with mods.

So are you saying you want more power? If so its not cheap. If you are complaining about fuel maybe you should get remapped ecu for auto 4 gears. I recently got mine done... he built a whole new map because i only had 4 gears not 5. Now it has more torque at lower revs all the way through to mid range. We plan to adjust ignition timing once i install my new turbo in a week. This could help for performance if timing is off. But really depends on what mods you plan to put in it.

Hi just wondering if anyone knows any workshops that could install a Hi Flowed RB25 Turbo into a R33 for under $300 in Sydney. The job should be a straight bolt on job. No need to muck around with oil lines or anything. Thanks

what do you mean by lower boost and higher boost threshold? how many kms do ball bearings tend to last? what about journal bearings?

can anyone tell me the difference between ball bearing and bush bearings in turbos? quicker spooling? longer turbo life? etc.

i will have the usual mods for the turbo that is why i plan to buy the turbo last... but i just cant figureout what turbo between these 3 will be able to pullout the most usuable average power on the street also for a bigger transcooler... is there any room for that when a fmic is installed?

hey i know i would need some work on my autogearbox holding 250rwkw i was planning to get a mv shift kit to reduce wear... what exactly does this transcooler do? help cooling? paul i still dont quite understand the full things about turbo's which of them would have a highest average power for street purposes also on an auto or doesnt transmission matter?

i thought the hi flow turbo is meant to be stronger? i know 2530 kicks in quicker then hi flow because hi flow kicks in the same as stock doesnt it also have a big mid range punch similar to the 2530? does anyone have a dynograph of the rb25 stock turbo and a hi flow... would like to compare yea abo bob i wish i could get a powerfc on my car... just hate the fact that i cant... auto transmission i was wondering which from the 2 and a gtrs will have higher rwkw by 5000revs? anyone?

hey r31nismoid, say with the basic mods: - boost controller - 3" dump/front - 3" hi flow cat - 3" catback - fmic - safc - fuel pump what would you prefer from either turbos that would produce more power, hi flow or 2530? what would pull better 1/4 mile times?

so your saying for drag purposes its better to have overdrive on? do you aknow anything about that power button inbetween the gears and the park brake?

just wondering if their is any difference if the car is on overdrive when on acceleration does it go any faster or slower isnt overdrive just an extra gear? but i have noticed too that when it is on... gear changes more earlier on the revs. anyone have any experiences with this? also in the auto skylines does anyone know what the power button do? correct me if im wrong but i think it allows the gear to change at a higher rev? does having this on affect acceleration aswell? what about both? any auto experts here

the car would be a skyline r33 s2... the last thing i would hate is to spend money on something that wont benefit me as much as the price tag on the turbo r31nismoid i dont plan to drag on the streets, just wanted to know what turbo would be best suitable to the roads we all drive on everyday without losing traction and using the most power out of a turbo setup without having a huge lag monster

just wondering what peoples opinion in the best turbo for a 1/4 mile for street mods? i know people pulling 300rwkw but they have pretty slow times compared to cars that are 250rwkw most likely due to lag... but i was curious which turbo would be able to spool as quick to achieve the best 400m on the streets. i know bigger turbos mean more power but is it really usable for a quick thrashing on the road? safety... all those issues such as suspension... the works i know that graphs can show a lot of power but what it doesnt tell is how quick does it achieve this power to be able to use this on road for traction on street?
