  3. +1 On T1R's. Bought a pair of 235/45/17 early last year. They are still in great shape. Their not cheap to buy but they are great with grip in turns. Sticks right to the ground.
  4. Hi guys, Quick question what does the (!) mean? I'm guessing thats the engine sign? Everytime I turn the car on that sign is always on... even when I keep driving. Any ideas on what the problem is? Where should I be looking first? Any ideas would be great.
  5. Hi guys, I am actually very curious into why this rb30 journey would cost thousands unless ofcourse you go forged this, aftermarket that. Let me get this straight. If you already have a R33 and only after a street car that will never see track nor never see revs past 7,000 rpm, isn't it possible to just use the rb25det head you have and stick an rb30 bottom end on and then thats mainly it? Yes you need to do some modifications like vct. Doesn't the fmic pipes match in the end? You could use rb30, 26 and 25 headgasket. Can't you use stock rb25det inelt manifolds, plenum and exhaust manifold? I know I am missing a few things but you know the drill. Just have to make sure that all stock parts are in good condition. What exactly stock items from rb30, 25, 26 that can't you use. I think most of the parts you can use OEM. If its just basically for street and don't want overboard power Isn't this possible? I am actually curious to why some guys suggest not to do this for only street purposes. So you don't really need to go forged this and that right? Isn't that where the big dollars are?

  7. When you say VVT removed do you mean that it is the RB25DET head not the DE? Let me know if you want to sell the head on its own.

  11. Hi guys, I was wondering if the its possible to change the side mirrors as the mirror itself has cracked. Everything else is okay but only the mirror is damaged. How do I pull off just the mirror? I was planning to just buy another right hand side mirror but then I would have to respray the mirror. I just want to take out the broken mirror now and when I buy a 2nd hand side mirror, I will take it out of that one so it will exactly fit directly. Any suggestions would be great. Cheers, Bernard

  13. Hi guys, Just wanted to ask on how much boost can a VG30 take on a stock engine? I don't want to be putting on more boost when it won't get me anymore power plus I don't want to be pushing the engine too hard. I am currently on 14psi at the moment. I get full at 3800 rpm. I do know though that the turbo can handle more boost just don't know how safe will it be on the engine. I know I should be testing this on a dyno but I am currently too busy at the moment. Any comments would be great.
  14. Sorry to jack your thread. Mafia your saying to throw 20psi on his rb20 engine. If it was a healthy engine will it cope with it? And for how long? How much boost can you put into a stock rb25 engine safely that is?
  15. Hey just wondering whats the worst thing that happens when there is no oxygen sensor? Because without it, after a few minutes the car us running when u drive it. Did I mention I have a remapped ecu for this turbo.
  16. Sorry but I don't quite understand what you mean by that? Want to explain what your on about? So you think the oxygen sensor plug needs to get replaced? Well isn't it if it wasn't working it wouldn't be changing how the performance of the car even if it was plugged in or not? Sorry don't quite understand what you mean mate.
  17. Thanks for the reply. Well actually its the exact opposite. Car runs great without it. More power everywhere and fuel economy was great. 200kms of driving on a bit over a quarter tank. I was talking about that the electric plug wasn't connected.
  18. Hi guys just installed my VG30 Highflow turbo. Everything was running great until it started to have start up issues like idle hunting. But besides that it was great on fuel and power. I tried to figure out what the startup issues were and I found out that we forgot to plug in the oxygen sensor on the dump pipe. So I plugged that in and it sorted out all the startup issues. But now though its chomping on petrol and its not running as great as it was before. Do you really need the oxygen sensor on the dump? Any comments would be great. Cheers
  19. Thanks for all the replies. Well this problem is only at startup where it seems to be coughing up. But when it gets back to normal in a few minutes the black smoke goes away. What does this mean? Ecu has been remapped for the Highflow turbo. Runs really good after a few minutes after startup.
  20. Hi guys, Just wondering if you guys knew what is wrong with my car. I just got the VG30 Highflow installed in the weekend. It was all fine until the next day when I put more coolant in to top it off. Mind you that I went for a long drive that day. Just cruising, no hard driving. Problems started when I filled the car with more coolant and I accidentally tipped some around the bottle. After that, the car starts funny. Usually first try, the car starts then bang stalls. Then 2nd try, the car is hunting on idle going up and down between 0 - 1000rpm. Any ideas? Is there any electrical wires that I should not have wet with the coolant? Any help would be great.
