  1. Umm Crave don't quite get you there when you say remove the piping? which one? Also the part that I circled, is that supposed to connected like that? Looks like it should be a bigger connection or something because of the bolt threads thats there on the side
  2. I guess all I can do is to get it checked professionally. Mind you that the turbo is brand new. I wouldn't have a clue on how to remove the turbo. Guess I would just have to spend more money to get it checked. Thanks guys for the help anyways

  4. The boost controller is fine since I just got it today. Before it had the stock T piece and it wouldn't go past 0 still. It did the same thing but now with the turbotech boost controller it feels as if the car is running stronger probably because it only allows it to spool more boost but just releases it at 0. So you think its the wastegate? It is an internal wastegate btw
  5. I actually don't have that problem, the black smoke. I do however have a remapped ecu... before the turbo and fmic my afrs were set a bit rich because the guy who remapped it set it as if a fmic and the new turbo was in?
  6. I am curious to how exactly your going to run with the z32 and bigger injectors when you still have the stock ecu on an auto? I have the same problem with ecu, thats why I got a remap. I wonder if another remap could support the bigger injectors and z32?
  7. Actually your right on everything except the part where i start hearing that pshhh sound, the car isn't struggling, its as if its running as a normal car without a turbo. Thats why it feels like the boost is just being released at 0 instead of what 10psi. Weird?
  8. Going by the picture, could it be anything to do with the turbo? Hopefully the thing is installed. Actuators maybe? Can anyone tell me if this is right? I have circled it on the picture below. Cheers
  9. Hey govich what do you mean by that? Just went for a little drive again, what I notice is that it spools quickly to 0 and then I can hear a pschhh sound as if its being released. I quite don't get it. The car is running fine. Its as if its a skyline with no turbo on it.
  10. Hi guys, I finally got myself another turbotech boostcontroller. I just recently installed it, took it for a drive and still wont go past the 0 mark. All the intercooler pipes and vacuum hoses have been checked. Seems to be all fine. Does anyone have anymore ideas to whats causing the problem? If the turbo was installed incorrectly, could this be the problem? Hopefully it is installed properly. Does this look right?

  12. Oh so it is normal. Even for a short 10 minute drive down the road? Should I figureout a way to install the heatshield on? Or it will be fine the way it is with the heat? Damn then I guess how hot will it be when the boost is set to 12psi? Worried of cooking any of the electrical parts in the engine bay
  13. Actually no the heat shield isn't on. I can't put it on because of the custom dump. But I never had it on with the stock turbo before and it was never this hot. Has anyone had these issues with highflows or aftermarket turbo's?
  14. Hey, Just wanted to ask if this is normal. My engine bay gets pretty hot, I think the heat is coming from mainly the turbo side. I have just recently installed my highflow turbo and now just for short 10-15min drives(revs kept under 3000rpm) the turbo side of the engine bay gets very very hot. Is this normal? I remember when driving normal before with the stock turbo, it would normally be hot, as usual but not this hot though. I am worried once I install my boost controller and up the boost I could damage something because of the high heat. Any suggestions?
  15. Hey, Just wondering, if I were to install an ex camgear would you need a tune afterwards? The reason I am asking is because I have a remapped ecu. I was wondering if I would need to remap the ecu again. And also would I achieve the same benefits on an auto tranny as the same as a manual skyline? Cheers, Bernard
  16. Can an exhaust cam gear be as effective in an auto as in a manual? Can they be used on a remapped ecu? Or once installed my ecu would need an ecu remap again? Cheers
  17. Yea I'll check it up once I get another turbotech boost controller. Just waiting on delivery. I can't seem to hear any leaks. Maybe because stock boost only. I have a fmic and a highflow vg30. Wouldn't 5psi-7psi to hear?
  18. On an auto box can you still use the redline lightweight shockproof or is it only for manual gearboxes? If no, Is there something as good as this oil for auto?
  19. Sorry to hijack this thread. I know that the stock bov is well capable of handling the stock turbo but what about an aftermarket turbo? How much boost can you actually run through it? Or is it just as simple as upgrading the actuators to have more boost?
  20. Would you have to get in and ex cam gears to achieve earlier boost or the exhaust camgear will do on a rb25 engine? Because I thought that the rb25 can be adjusted already?
  21. In the meantime what you can do is cut the split hose part off then attach it back like normal, then just tape it up until you have time to get another hose.

  23. Oh ok thats good to know. So that means my afm is fine I guess I'll get my head stuck in the engine bay tomorrow and figure out whats wrong with it. Do you think the afm or coilpacks have something to do with the car struggling throughout the rev range?
  24. Yep everything seems to be fine. No cracks or splits on the vacuum lines How do you check if your afm is working or not?
