Interesting that your going to give it a go. Atleast with the mines ecu it also has removed it from going rich and retard. Like for example when using the safc alone with stock ecu... it goes r&r. If possible... shouldn't this allow you to be able to attach a z32 and bigger injectors to it? Or is there more technical info onto using a setup like this? Let us know how it goes as I am also in need of a remap once I install my Highflow turbo, z32 and 540cc injectors next year. Cheers, Bernard

hey guys just wanted to ask if there are any methods of trying to start a car that hasn't been started for weeks now. I know that I should have started the car a few times a week or so but just couldn't find the keys for it. And now I have... it just won't start. Any ideas?

1st thing to do is to find someone that is able to tune it. Someone that has experience using it.

Hey cubes HITMAN quoted me before, I think it was around $220. Can't really remember. But I just want to save up so I can send it back to Slide afterwards, then get the HITMAN guys to install it. Atleast this time it will be in good hands. About the idle... actually its quite exactly the same as stock. Does idle actually have anything to do with the turbo being seized? One thing for sure is that, the turbo does get very hot as usual. Although I don't hear the loud spooling sound like a jet engine anymore like it was when installed. Plus the fact that my boost gauge only goes up from -7 to 0 nows while driving. It just seems that it won't let it go past 0. Car runs like a pig.

bbe I can't believe you could blame Slide for the problems for your car. I just want to let people know that I also bought a Highflow turbo off slide and now I think the turbo has seized. Bbe do you know why? Because even though I gave it to a mechanic to install it, I don't believe they didn't do it properly. Most likely modifying the oil line, even though they said they did. Only way to findout is to remove it, but I haven't still been able to afford to remove it yet because of money problems. I have spoken to Aaron (slide) about this and he has also told me that it will cost about $500 to repair. Now I understand that is a lot of money but in the end I believe it is my fault for leaving it in the hands of an unexperienced mechanic. There is nothing else that I can do till I can save up to get this turbo removed and sent back to Aaron to repair. Its just the old saying as "you get what you pay for". I was offered a cheap price to get it installed now... I have a car that hasn't moved for over 2 months now. Also if anyone near Penrith area that would be able to give me a big hand in removing this turbo out of my car, I would greatly appreciate it. But if not... I will just save up for HITMAN to do it. Hmm sounds interesting as I am having issues aswell at the moment. Just haven't driven the car for a while now till I can round up the money to pay for removing the turbo. Till then I can't figure out whats wrong. Keep us posted on how things. Interested to see what was the problem?

Thats good to know mate... I also have been told by a cop before to get a engineers certificate but the funny thing though is that he asked me to get one for my radiator. Idiot asked me why do I have 2 radiators. ahhaha. While I was trying to hold myself from laughing, I just told him that it was on it when I bought it. hehehe So he just let me off.

Hmm thats interesting where it says in that rta document that authorised inspection units, pink slips, actually check window tinting. I guess I just have to be more careful to where exactly I get my pinkslips done after I get my car tinted.

Thanks 4door Sleeper for the information. So I guess its more to what setup you have on your car. I only have a VG30 Highflow in my 33 with all the basic mods to support it. I don't think I would need a higher stall converter since my setup is not as extreme. So I guess it would be more useful in a bigger turbo like a GT30 or something. Guess I will just buy a transmission cooler too keep my transmission alive. Do you guys think I should upgrade for an auto shift kit? My goals are only around the 250rwkw mark. What do you guys think?

Hey guys I was just wondering... I have a friend that has a turbo car but they got their P's before the rule applied. So I'm guessing it doesn't cover them right? What happens if you get pulled over, and you got your P's after the rule applied? I wonder if cops actually look at P platers licence to see if they got their licence after the rule applied? Any ideas on the fine? I just still see too many P platers still with turbochargers, supercharged and V8 cars. Oh well.

Hey I am also interested since I have just found out that I have an exhaust leak. I'm guessing the dodgy job that the panel beater did to plumback my screamer pipe without telling me. I can't believe the metal they used to connect it, its been a month now and its rusting like hell. Keep us posted guys if a next Group Buy comes along... till then car stays in the garage
