  1. Fantastic work on your car. Please let me know when and where you're racing so I can come see, support and hear you and your car. hehe.
  2. Where did you get the powerfc manual in english? I've been looking for an english version of the BCNR33 powerfc manual.
  3. My GTR insurance (Shannons) is 2.5 times as much as the ITR insurance (AAMI)!
  4. I have an ITR and a GTR. I'm selling the ITR soon. Its a DC5. They handle really well. After upgrading to Eibach progressive springs, they are much, much better. Stock springs travel too much. Much better fuel economy as you'd expect. They do seem faster than they are. Handling is just fantastic and will keep up with or do better than most sports cars. Lacks power in the straights tho. In the end I was CRAVING for more straight line balls. ITR insurance is much cheaper than GTR and because its sold domestically, you have a wider range of insurance providers. BTW I might have a JDM spec HKS super dragger catback exhaust for the DC5 ITR for sale. Brand new, unused. This model is not the same as the one sold in Australia. It was specifically imported. I got the GTR because its much more of a hobby car; you can do so much more. Now I just need to learn to drive an effectively RWD car with about 400kgs more weight after ten years in FWD cars.
  5. Thanks folks, all went well.
  6. Should the seat base come completely out by itself, or is it permenantly attached to the seat upright? Hence squirming around to get to those two bolts on the upright. Thanks for your help so far.
  7. Hi Folks, How do you remove the rear seat in a R33 GTR? Do you have to get to some bolts from the boot, behind the battery and other things?
  8. More from The Age... "Budget estimates papers forecast that police will issue 2.25 million fines next financial year, up from 1.72 million this year. CityLink is forecast to issue a further 500,000 fines next financial year." http://www.theage.com.au/articles/2003/05/...1987702801.html "Total revenue from fines is expected to jump $101 million next financial year, with the bulk of the money due to traffic offences." http://www.theage.com.au/articles/2003/05/...1987702906.html They were telling me 5km/hr makes a big difference in so many ways. I recon this is one of them.
  9. I've got a similar unit. Carrozzeria AVIC DR2000. Its voice activated or uses a remote. Guess what, I don't have the remote. And I don't know japanese. Arrggghhhh! Does anyone know what I can do about this? I contact pioneer australia and they couldn't help with anything. Any one have an mp3 of japanese voice commands?
  10. Can't verify the suspension thing, but I think you're right. There were no series II for R33 GTR V specs. Only on R32 and R34s have that. R33 revisions are the usual things like passenger airbags etc. I have seen adds for series II R33 GTR's. They're wrong. Hahahaha. Vendors looking for an excuse to get more money.
  11. There is only one 'series' of the R33 gtr v spec, although there were the usual R33 revisions. Fins on the rear diff are the most noticable difference for the active LSD. (As opposed to smooth) Main difference: V spec has a rear Active LSD. There are a couple of others IIRC, like suspension.
  12. Hi Folks, Can anyone recommend a good service center for R33 GTR skylines in the Melbourne area? I contacted unique autosports in Sydney and they suggested either AVO or Nispro. Offhand, I've just imported this car recently and I'm looking for people who provide a thorough initial inspection / service simliar to unique autosports. Thanks in advance.
