Good question. I was going to ask a similar question. I have permission from the better looking half to get an after market ecu or piggy back ecu or similar (safc). I was wondering who has what and where do they get it tuned? I have spoken to a number of places about this issue and they have given conflicting responses. I understand an ecu is only as good as the tuner and thus the reason I pose the question. What engine management system do you guys/girls have and where do you get it tuned? Thanks in advance Mike (Hope this is not too far off the orgional topic of the thread. if it is I will start a new one. I just thought that it sort of fit in here)

Yeh I'm trying to get one for around $1. Not having much luck.

It doesn't matter how long we have off, the first day back is usually a sleepy one.

Your message seems too happy for this time of the morning.

will it not work on a R33 gtst. If it will, i would like it. Are they model specific? -
Bugger, and we just ran out of beer.
-
Seems everyone is gone. Just thought I would check whats happening, but looks like not much. I will just have to go back and drink the rest of the free beer.

Well, I must go as we are having office drinks tonight. Should be good.

I think I wouldn't get any work done if I was in my own office.

Some of us have to work and have the boss sitting in front of them. It sucks.

Series 2 4 door I presume?
-
The only thing i don't particularly like about the 4 door is the black plastic panel on the rear between the lights. I am wanting to change the tail lights and paint the boot section silver as shown in the attached picture.

Leg room is pretty good. I am 6 foot 2 and a the person sitting behind me can't stretch out, but don't have their knees around their ears either.

Unfortunately not here. Had a computer upgrade (at work) and had to take all my stuff off the old one.

I am interested, although I want to talk to my mechanic first. Will get back to you then. -
Thanks, It was a compromise, wife wanted a 4 door. Fortunately there are 4 door skylines.

Well, I have just officially doublled my post count. It would be tough for you guys to do the same!!

I started to read this thread, realised there was a lot of crap and way too many pages and so skipped to the end. I didn't look at the replys so I didn't realise how many pages there are. I now realise why it is called the wasteland.

The only mod is a bleed valve set to 9psi. I have been thinking about getting an aftermarket ECU but haven't persued it yet. Need the $$$ I don't want to sound like a cheapskate but a friend of mine had a wrx where he used a bleader on his fuel line?? Or something like that to lean out the mixtures. He warned that it can be dangerous as being too lean is not good, better to be too rich. Is that something to explore? I would only consider it if it can be done properly and not damage the engine, but that said a new ECU would be better by far.

How is inaccurate in third? would the power curve be similar in all gears, just maybe more noticable in the third and fourth. As can be seen on the graph mine was done in third gear. My dyno graph has a couple of flat spots that are noticable. Anyone want to speculate why and if they could have tuned it better or something. Just curious as I didn't notice any flat spots prior to the tune, and now they are very obvious even annoying. Mike

Yeh, Like I said, it was one of those thoughts that may not have any substance as there was a lacking of oxygen from riding my bike. Just a thought tho' A 4dr GTR would be great as the cars I buy are required to have certain criterias to be filled (due to the wife's demands) and 4 doors is one of them. Luckily boot space wasn't, but now is. Looks like this cars here to stay.
