  1. R33 GTR Crank 650$ Has recently been machined. Pick-up from South Coast or form Sydney. Courier extra...
  2. Here's some of my favourite pix from the day... Let me know if you want prints...
  3. Excellent day! big ups to the organisers.. Great turn out of cars... Here's some pix of the day I took...
  4. Leaving for Sydney now to get closer for tomorrow. Just gave the car a quick wash, so hopefully no rain! BTW - if anyone is interested it's for sale and inspections on the day are welcome... See you all there...
  5. Interested? I'll have the car for inspection tomorrow at the R32 cruise ==> http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/R3...60#entry5487146
  6. Good article, hopefully get more numbers and raise more money for helping the sick kiddies... For those that missed it in the DT.
  7. Thanks for the offer. Looks like a good car! Presently I am going to stick with getting a Prado preferring the 4X4 wagon. I've just found a Prado with the specs and in the price range I am looking for - so to speed up the sale of the GTR I am dropping the price to $29,000
  8. Hey Terry, roughly how many cars do we have so far for this?
  9. I appreciate the offer. I still haven't found a Prado I am really interested in as yet. There's many out there but not with the specs in the price range I am after. So yeah, post up the info on your XR6.
  10. Thanks for your offer. Yes I am interested in swaps. However, I am looking for a Prado.
  11. Have a new mobi# 0412597157. Make us an offer - inspections welcome - car in Sydney.
  12. I've used and still own a heap of car cleaning products and for cars with a good paint job I personally can't tell too much of a difference between the high end stuff. I keep coming back to what is easy and quick. As much as I like touching my car and seeing it all nice and clean - don't we all? I an;t got time to waste on drawn out washing procedures. So here's what works for me - 1. short once a week type wash... Spray the car with a light jet hose gun to remove surface dirt and get it all nice and wet. put 1 cap Meguiars soft gel wash (comes in bulk 4l) with half a cap of truck/4X4 wash (called something '10', CBF going the garage and looking), in standard bucket and wash with wash micro fibre mitt. Then take the gun off the hose, turn to low pressure and just wash off soap, let the water pane off the car, no splashes. This rinse technique alone will stop most of the water marks when drying. chamois if you wish, well at least do the widows... 2. longer detail... do no.1 then just apply Meguiars NXT Generation Tech Wax - wax on wax off. Easy no orbital buffer required. 3. Quick detail in between wax jobs.. no.1 then just use Eagle 1, that's right the stuff from K-Mart spray on detailer. Can't remember the name comes in a blue bottle. This stuff works as well, if not better (as it is easier to apply and doesn't need any curing time) than Mequiars spray detailer. These is the quickest and cheapest way to get your car to show standard... Obviously clay bar bits that are really dirty, but if you wash it regularly enough it should be fine. Scratches - Mequiars scratch remover - black tube or this amazing 3M stuff for boats, fibreglass - expensive but great, again CBF going to garage to look at the name. NOTE: don't use any of the above on carbon fibre. Just use water and chamois on c/f. Meguiars do have a gel wash made for boats which I've found OK for c/f FW1 is good for removing carbon build up on bar around exhaust or rims or clearing plastic head light covers - wouldn't use it on anything else. Thou it does a great job of cleaning soap scum off of glass in the shower and keeping it clean. A little too harsh for paint work IMO.
  13. 30K neg. took some interior shots the other day... No cig burns on seats, no rips or tears on seats, geniune GTR mats, AVC-R boost controller + A-pillar mounted smoke faced gauges are clearly visible when driving (no need to look down at gages mounted below eye height), PFC hand controller + baby turbo timer can also be seen from these shots, 240v inverter for playstation/xbox in passenger floor (this can be stowed in glove box to comply with CAMS safety regs), installed all new speakers and TFT screen 6 months ago, fire extinguish complies with CAMS safety regs. open to serious offers, inspections welcome - car in Sydney
  14. I had an N1 fail, don't know if it was the cause or part of the fail chain that went down. But now have a NITTO and have heard good things about them... Contact Croyden and get their advice on NITTO, they have an interesting story on how tuff they are. They are a good price, flow well and have forged internals....
  15. PRICE DROP 30K Got a few other pics from different angles... will take some interior ones too sometime - but interior is clean, no cig burns - I've never smoked in it... Also got fire extinguisher in cabin. Just got a new tune since the GT2860-5's were put on - made easy 360KW with more if needed. Any inspection welcome. Can take car to Sydney. Needs to be seen and heard to be appreciated...
  16. Yeah this is just what I was looking for - easy as & does RAW. Had a simliar left click one on XP, a windows powertoys app. Though can't get it for Vista-64. Works very well and lossless quality for big images... Haven't tried LR. for anything I want to tinker with I'll still go via CS5 Thanks for the help
  17. Hi Terry, Genelle was telling me about this the other day. So for now I am up for it, as long as I haven't sold the GTR by then. Can I purchase tix on the day, assuming there are some left over? Otherwise I think I'll still just come for the cruise, looks like a good route.. Nice work Tim...
  18. do you use filters or polariser when taking these to bring the contrast or colours, or is it all post production work? Nice pics, I am very much an amature but I enjoy learning and experimenting with my 40D...
  19. I am after a good picture resizer program that will work on Vista Ultimate 64. For use with downsizing large images for posting to teh internets with lossless quality. Prefer something that can batch process and even handle RAW conversions to JPG. I have CS5 and ACDsee Pro, but wont something lite n' easy for rough and ready batch processing. I use a Canon 40D...
  20. It can take only a a brief oil starvation at those revs to hot spot a bearing that will eventually fail, N1 or not. FC doesn't have any alternate maps it can kick in if it senses a problem, like some other ECU's. I'd recommend putting in a high capacity baffled sump on it when you rebuild, it's the only way you will have some insurance against oil starvations. Hi-Octane Racing make one that has a slim profile so less chance of cracking it in our shitty roads, or just go a full dry set up, some great oz made ones and for cost of jap there are very competitive. From what I've read and heard from people it seems oil starvation on RB26's is not so an uncommon killer for stock bottom ends without some kind of extended sump when pushed hard or with g's.
