I used to have a 33 and still have a soft spot fir them. They are a great base and can be set up as a basic drift car quite easily, the wide wheel base also names them transition a little more softly. The only thing I found was it tended to understeer on turn in a bit and because of the higher centre if gravity it could sway a litttle if not slammed. I switched back to an s chassis for the same reason as their general popularity in drifting circles, the lighter, more nimble chassis, combined with way more aftermarket parts desighned specifically for drifting easily available. The way I see it, 33s don't have much of a following in drift and as a result there hasn't been much research put into setting them up for drift and desighning drift specific parts for them which subsequently means that taking them to the next level setup wise is a little difficult, whereas with an s chassis you can just jump on ns and copy one of a million cars and have a very competitive car hence why you see adair few at the social/club level, but very few beyond that. I still think they are and awesome car for entry level, but if you were looking to develope the car beyond the basic handling mods I'd suggest the boring old sil route . Best mods youcan do to a 33 are diff and lock hicas, I found they greatly changed the way my car behaved,

Price: $2,300 Size: (5 stud) FRONT 17x9 +18 and BACK 18x9.5 +18 I am selling these rims as I never use the rears due to new 18” tires being too expensive and second hand 18” tires being non existent in Tassie so I just use a miss matching set of 17’s. Im willing to sell the 18s on their own OR swap (either the set, or rears) for something such as TE37s, XD9s, BEE*Rs, Xd9s, Meisters, Professors provided they ar 17” and reasonably wide. Feel free to PM me with any questions, I am open to offers, however please no tire kickers as you will only be wasting both our time . Cheers

1992 R32 Gtst Type M Highly Modified! $11000
ardie replied to lwboosted's topic in For Sale (Private Whole cars only)
Hey Leigh, long tim no speak. I just saw this when browsing for sale threads for an EvoIII. I seriously can't believe nobody has snatched this up by now. I have been freinds with, and worked with Leigh since this car first came into his posession, it's what made me fall in love with imports and I will put my name to it being a perfect specimen of a 32. He is truely anal about this car as anybody who goes and looks at it will realise. If you have any doubts call Sam (Dr Drift) and ask him about the car, I put money on him having nothing but good things to say about it .........genius -
Thanks mate, just out of curiosity how much will that set me back roughly?

Final update, new clutch is back in, the world is once again a beautiful place with another tuff 32 back on the road. Bleeding is very straight forward, but here you go anyway. Have a cruise through SAUs various DIY/tech articles, it’s a great resource for future ref. In terms of taking the seat out, don’t bother, I am 6ft4 and I have never taken a seat out when doing a master (but hey I’m pretty lazy), just make sure that you adjust the push rod out so its long enough to give full travel on the clutch pedal to save you having to undo all your hard work when you bolt it all in and go to put the rod and pin back in and there isn’t enough carry. As for bleeding, its very easy, just follow the below links and you cant go wrong. Just make sure you don’t get brake fluid on your paint, it is deadly to painwork.
