  3. JJR Just Jap Turbos use the same cores and housings as Otomotos KKR's But there Cores/wheels dont get as much time as kkrs on Balancing. Not saying dont buy JJR (Just Jap) Turbos as i have there intercooler kit great kit (Soon to change to Otomoto) but just bear that info in mind I have used a kkr480iw good for 260kws+ Lol i got 258Rwkws on 91ron unleaded fuel( Tight Arse i Am) Im now using KKR-560iw But in the next couple of weeks Otomoto Will have a new line up with the same original turbos plus a couple new ones and they will have the KKr-560 and a new KKr-720 both external wastegate, i will be changing for research on Rb25 with the 560 external once it arrives. using only Otomoto Products Peer Racing/Perfromance Use the KKr Turbos On There Drift Cars Have They Blown A Turbo??? NO Well Not Yet Also If anyone knows of the 6.2ltr V8 R34 Drift Car 2 kkr 430's 800hp i think Also You Can Buy A Twin Turbo Kit For Any Crappy Lol Gen3 Motor Vt-Vz Commondore With 2 KKr-330 or Bigger If you Want Lol They have done alot more research and designing/engineering than other brands out there using similar parts. If you must get a turbo Like There KKr Make sure they have Unconditional Replacement 6 Months Warranty Lets see any Other shop do that Remember Unconditional Replacment not just 6months warranty. Not bagging Just Jap Good Blokes Bought Many Parts from them but what turbo do they use in there drift car well???? anyone??. Otomoto Has A wide range of parts yes im a Reseller for them but i still preferring you go direct as i have Semi sponsership and want to keep that. They make/Import more parts for skylines than you think and they are really really good ppl/pricing. Dont knock kkr If your in sydney willing to take you for a spin even to proove there reliability and look how many sau users have them mainly the kkr-480 perfect match for rb25det, spools quick, has 360degree thrust bearing, journal bearing and you use all ur standard gear.   5. because highflows get hotter as they spin faster so ive been told there not designed to run highboost but you shouldve still made more power, heaps of factors oil supply to bearings, quality of oil, oil temp,fuel quality/octane levels, fuel supply, air temp , afm ratings, temp on day between tunes at 14/16psi if done on same day could go did you watch it on the dyno i dont believe in tuning cars on dyno how may 7sec drag cars get dyno tuned NONE? Who Tuned Your Car? Lol
  6. In this case, the middle-area of damage to the wheel would suggest it came first, and the rest of the failure came as a resulting factor... being the middle doesnt "damage itself". Its almost impossible id imagine The core or middle as referred will crumble once oil seal has gone small washer/ring washer 2-3mm thick then bearing or bearings will crack and the core crumbles, shaft snaps, wheels go good buy and the retaining nuts fly off, leaving the housings shredded unuseable. Ill find my phone leed and post pics tomorrow You cant rule out something coming causing problems but anything small enough to get in wouldnt cause a problem 99% of the time its balancing. Freak problems happen but still comes down to affecting balancing. The only way you will know is if you take off the exhaust housings/compressor housings 6 x 10/12mm bolts and have a look. Looking at the outside wheels doesnt tell you much we are all just guessing and you still cant be for certain lol thats about all i really know

Cheez i agree with you didnt balance it some slacko wanted a smoko and didnt get it till he finished it on the machine so he put it on auto or they did the final balancing by hand and just grinded the wheel cheaply and has someone got a n80 sycronise( not sure if right spelling) leed lol ill look for it dammit and make everyone see what im tryin to explain

If i had i stupid leed for my n80 i could upload pics of my blown turbo the exhaust wheel is crushed and half was in my cat, the shafts where broken in 3 pieces and the core well there was nothing left of it. And the turbo gets balanced in degrees again if i had a bloody leed i could proove this take ur compressor wheel of any turbo and you will see markings on the inside of the wheel and good quality turbos get balancing also takin off the sides of the wheels just slightly but just enough to balance it to within a degree or less, ring any reputable turbo place they should explain it!!!!!! You dont just balance it once and its ok you have to do it a couple of times. Geez i uset to work for the people who make the balancing machines, not just a simple machine anywhere from $250,000- $1,000,000 pretty awesome stuff dont know how they work but i uset to Clean them lol!!!

Sounds like they didnt balance is properly down to a 1 degree or less but you would really hear if that was the case and shafts would snap and so fourth take the compressor/exhaust housings off and have a look but if you do and its shattered you more than likely wont be able to put it back together! Go Otomotos kkr 560 (balanced within 1 degree same as garret/hks but only oil cooled like greddy/blitz turbos) i guarantee you wont go back, similar size to a hks3240 bigger than hks3037 Did a light tune on mine today got 277rwkws on 18psi, standard fuel 91ron unleaded little to no timing, pushing standard fuel lol. Standard motor/gasket/cams. Hey ur lucky you got to drive your car my gcg highflow blew on dyno couple of months back never looked back since kkr480 and now kkr560 went in. I personally had no probs with the kkr480 even when i ran 40psi for fun only couple of times though!!!. Plus they just replace it with a brand new one unconditional replacement on the spot what company will do that????

  11. 2nd Time Round List as Follows: KKR-480 (Otomoto) Custom Tuned Length S/S Turbo Manifold New 3" Exhaust, 3" Cat, No Mufflers Custom Intake/Fmic Piping, Fmic Tube/Fin 600cc Injectors Cleaned/Smoothed Plenum/Runners/Throttle Body Apexi Power Intake Z32 AFM Adjustable Exhaust Cam Gear Apexi Power Fc Ebc Dual Boost/Scrammble Switch Soon to be upgraded to greddy profec b Just Jap Tube and Fin Pressure drop from Just Jap Kit (Soon to be upgraded to Otomoto 5" Core) Cars Tuned got 258rwkws Unique Autosports Tune but that was on 91ron Standard unleaded Petrol Little to no Timing at all Had to earth out walbro fuel pump (max voltage) plus problems with walbro not keeping pressure up, evident on dyno. Must admitt is a clean smooth powerline. Runs 20psi but drops to 16psi due to walbro. Lol Didnt get what i WAS expecting from the KKR-480 , KKR 480 is really responsive on the rb25 comes on boost at 3000rpm full boost at 4400 rpm did change fuel pump now holds 20psi all the way to redline which is great, got 275/18 and even at 100klms or so 3rd spins lol satified me for 1 day. 3rd Time So now i have the kkr-560 but its been modified/machined housings so should see close to if not over 300rwkws easily, couple of weeks and we will find out. But ill spend the money this time on 98octane fuel lol Boost comes on later around 3300rrpm and now i have serious problems with fuel on lappy drops to 10psi almost soon as it hits fullboost (Thats with a brand new walbro 500hp pump), will get bigger/better pump (bosch 044) also some Tomei poncams amd maybe nos to get this big suckers of a turbo spoolin up 1000rpms more or so. Will see closer to 330rws+ without nos thanks to Pulse Racing at Menai!

Hi, Thanks guys i read the uk site today and also looked at dumpin the sump to lock the crank with timber ill do all in the most easiest way lol and leave the sump for last i never thought of lockin the flywheel cheers for that and for both you replyin so fast need someone to make a sticky on this with all opitions from hardest to easiest not just the easiest way lol Again thanks heaps Peter

Hi All, Got a r33 gtst series 1, Tailshaft: Pulled off tailshaft off to uas to get cromemoly replacement for $490 If someone knows of cheaper place with same quality would be appreciated as ive rang around and no-one even will match it (maybe just ringing wrong places lol!) lightened flywheel: Uas cromemoly $490 4.9kg again similar pricing from others have looked at billet items but from reading forums cromemoly seams more popular for street use and the power output im after. Gearbox: Rang the place in greenacre (forgot name of place) supposibly do good work $1500 to clean and repair whats needed and replace my worn brass button with a cushioned brass button, $75/syncro thats stuffed doubt any are but car has done 130,000klms so maybe 2nd and 3rd gone, as i drive trucks on occasion using brass button doesnt bother me 2 much as last 2 cars have had them aswell! My question again is clutch advise/ gearbox specialist that is cheaper and still do good work! Last but not least Diff Centre: Looked for ages on this have decided on 1.5way lsd, nismo seems best, but kaaz is only $1050 delivered and is tempting! As with the diff i have a mate who does em and he cant beat this price but is installing for a slab lol. My mate seems to think that for roughly 300rwkws standard should surfice but is on the breakable side? As i have a 300zx the standard diff handles the 317rwkws i have in that but 300zx has stronger diff/shafts/hubs, plus its auto lol! Im not going to waste my time changes hubs shafts so fourth plus im almost certain the skyline with standard/new diff should handle what im after! Again any advise is great!! As im only expecting the car not to exceed 700nm of torque/rough estimate for 300rwkws similar to my 300zx, should i waste the money on a new diff centre at all or get some new (shims 0.8mm not sure if this is the correct word) and be done with the diff!?! As the tailshaft and gearbox and the flywheel i most definitly want them regardless so if everyone that respondes can summarise it like the following: Gearbox Place To Remove/Repair/Re-Install/Price You Personally Paid: Clutch Purchased From/Type/Price: Flywheel Purchased From/Type/Price: Tailshaft Purchased From/Type/Price: I have read over all forums/threads no-one seems to summarise this especially when these are the most replaced parts maybe even make a sticky in a summarised form, if there is and im just not searching properly please provide me the link also please keep chit chat to minimum pm me if you want to do that, or if you really want to call me all is appreciated!! Hi All, Need to remove harmonic balancer mmm, Ok Ive tryed cranking if with the engine bar against the ground no luck, Tried with my ratchet gun increased the air pressure from my air compressor no luck, I didnt have the car in gear 4 or any gear for that matter (will retry with car in gear also with a bigger battery more cca) but i dont have a tailshaft to connect to to the diff to give more resistance for the crank. If someone has applied lock tight to the bolt, will it need to be heated to remove?? Will only locking the gearbox inplace create enough resistance to break the seal that this stupid bolt is in lol or will i have to wait for the till i get the one piece tailshaft back!?
