  11. i've been wanting to do some track days etc. and looking to get a car to thrash around in on the track question is, is it possible to do with a budget of around 1 - 2k?? probably not, but the car does not have to be anything flash. parts and labour wouldn't be too much of a problem as i can get cheap parts and have a relative that is a mechanic that is always willing to lend me a hand. if you think it is possible, what car would you reccomend?? cheers

  15. Does anybody actually know where these cars are auctioned off. I know it was asked before but a clear answer wasn't given. If they're auctioned off in a different state as cln stated, would it be auctioned somewhere like fowles auctions??
  16. Didn't expect these kind of responses, but you guys are right, doesn't really matter anymore. Just thought i'd let the other skyline owners know what happened

    Custom Plates

so what are the plates you had in mind LOL
  20. Dont know if anyone here just saw ten news, but it showed an 18 year old man, who went into court for offences such as driving without a supervising driver (he was on his learners). The police are trying to get his car permanently impounded. He also led police through a high speed chase a few months ago. He was going 120kph through residential streets, with police eventually calling off the chase when it got to speeds of over 160kph. His car was a black (or was it midnight purple) R33 Gts-t with the plates MRGTST If you're on this forum, i hope you car gets impounded, maybe that will teach you to be a d!ckhead on public roads. Its c@nts like you that give the whole scene a bad name. Hope this doesn't effect and liners out there, even though it probably will. That's all i have to say.
  21. AL: I said that i wanted to buy this car, repair it, and by repairing it, i would learn some of the basics about cars etc. I in no way said that i would be buying the car, keeping it in storage and then repairing it once i had gained enough experience
  22. I didn't mean that i would be using this car to learn how to repair with, but i meant that i wanted to learn how to repair cars etc., by repairing one to start off with. If a slightly damaged silvia would be the way to go, anyone have one or know who has one for sale??? I know someone in the industry that could help me out, and get me cheaper parts.
  23. Bec: if it was not too damaged i would be doing most of the work myself (i want to learn how to fix a car etc.) Fuzzy scuz: I wouldn't mind doing that but I dont think many people would be looking for brand new rex parts out of this model (or am i thinking wrong??) Ziad: I'd prefer fixing the car myself to learn the car etc. and to learn the basics about cars in general. If i find another car (without any structural damage) i will post up and everyone can give me their opinion. Thanks for all your help
  24. oh i thought it said that it was a repairable write off. Must be seeing things.... do you guy think that its worth buying any damaged car and repairing it? I mean a car with less damage obviously. I'm going to keep searching for slightly damaged cars and hope i can get a bargain (and not a lemon).
  25. well the car is a repairable write off, it says that in the catalogue before you enter that page. I know that it would not be worth repairing, but does anyone have any idea of the price for repairs? Im guessing 10k+
