  1. cant link @ work but its just called "Shit cut in half" If you paid off credit card and then its in the positive you should be able to get that money paid out? dont quote me never had a credit card but its your money at the end of the day, they cant keep it.
  2. Any of you seem that shit cut in half fb page. Fairly cool.
  3. I'm with pat have no issue with unions and safety etc. however the demands they make are often ridiculous and rights that the rest of us don't get. Strike at the desal plant because they wanted to 'sack' 100 electricians they no longer had work for them to do.. Or sitting in the brew hut all day because they'd get rained on walking from brew hut to the indoor location they were working in? Sorry mate I get rained on walking to my office I don't sit in the car refuse to work and get paid while i do nothing. Note we aren't talking about working in the rain merely walking through a bit of water. Same shit happened at west gate hence that walkway made of linked up shipping containers as heaven forbid a drop of rain should fall on their shoulders. If you think that's fair well shit that should apply to everybody not just trades, seems only to apply on commercial sites too domestic just get on with it most times. shame no work would ever get done but hey workers rights? I can't see how a union/government can tell a business who they can and can't sack those holden workers I'm sorry deserve nothing more than the standard annual leave etc. Most of us here get sacked would get the standard entitlements and that's it if your position is no longer viable. No big payout and government funded training
  4. Wasnt just referencing tradies Dezz, my fb is not compiled simply of tradies who voted labor however growing up in the west be it coincidence or not they all basically voted labor. Lalor has always been a safe labor seat and even with a 10% swing still they held the seat comfortably. You also can't deny the union / labor connection whether you want to admit it or not. I don't disagree with everything unions stand for either but ill happily debate the relevance of them these days. The majority of labor voters are of the employee mindset not the employer mindset. On the flip side people I work with and that I associate with these days none would even contemplate voting labor,
  5. Think your really putting to much into it re Murdoch. Yeh hamish the whole thing is a farce really, not just that guy, but the sports party, shooting party I mean far out should be some kind of standards to be allowed to run surely you must have to have some form of a policy?!
  6. the grab I watched on TV certainly didnt so much for the cause.
  7. it really is a shame they couldn't get a candidate who would actually be a decent representative.
  8. He should have a say, the problem is he appears to be uneducated and we are talking about holding a seat in parliament not overseeing the grill on a Sunday BBQ. Unless the limited info I have seen is deceiving he is going to get eaten alive.
  9. not that i need to justify my opinion to you, but having studied politics and not keeping my head in the sand and only popping up come election time i have a fair idea of what i want out of the party running the country. Labor are proven to be completely incompetent so anyone who knows anything about business should be very worried any time they are in power. Unless you liven in a different Australia to the rest of us during the last 6 years of krudd and gillard I don't know how you can actually advocate for them. Clearly the vast majority of Australian's feel the same way or we wouldn't even be having this conversation.
  10. agree, if another party better represented my views i'd happily change my vote.
  11. i don't disagree libs have short comings, however a lot of the things have been cause and effect. i.e Labor cause massive debt, effect libs cut & privatise to balance the books. its a cycle that will never end. having said that people are completely overreacting isn't even officially prime minister and people are carrying on like he is the spawn of satan.
  12. i wouldn't be surprised if Ricky Muir sets the cause back 10 years rather than forward.
  13. well this is Australia. compare Liberals track record to Labors over an extended period and its almost laughable that anybody would vote for such a rabble. Forgive me if i'm mistaken but labor in England also left massive debt behind? but hey everyone's entitled to an opinion.
  14. Hamish, your point is valid its not only about money however they wouldn't be cutting it if things weren't in such bad shape courtesy of Labors terrific job of burning down the electorates houses with the genius batts idea, or the school building project which gave schools things they didn't even want! also voting liberal is not voting abbot, you support the party not the person just like football. Dezz - don't take this the wrong way but it would make sense the majority of your friends etc voted labor as they are likely similarly minded and employed as you are for the most part. Liberal voters are clearly less vocal as my Facebook had epic amounts of labor lovers which i refrained from commenting on as half of it was to stupid to argue with. My mates all voted liberal but none bothered to take to Facebook and have a meltdown. Clearly i voted Liberal, always have always will i dare say, but this welfare country has to stop its beyond a joke. Its a bit rich to suggest liberal are leaving the mess when the facts would clearly point to it being the opposite. anyway time will tell, but i for one am wrapped to have Liberals back in charge, sure as shit couldn't do worse than krudd / dullard.
  15. That's not a policy.. Just like the motor enthusiasts party unfortunately I don't see them having much impact at all but frankly I can see sports party having more impact as obesity is a major problem as opposed to 'unfair defects' the overwhelming majority of the public are anti modified cars Be interesting to see if abbot goes for double dissolution
  16. Freo beat Geelong in Geelong Port Adelaide beat collingwood at mcg Richmond have up 40 odd point lead in 3rd quarter to Carlton and lost by 20
  17. Port Adelaide were unreal! If they bring same intensity they could challenge Geelong Today's game was epic too
  18. I wonder how much labor voters know about the labor party, I mean they haven't returned a surplus since 89! Some people who voted for them wouldn't have been alive the last time they achieved it! anyway Mad weekend of footy!
  19. With not a single policy what a joke.Thankgod for liberal. #comeatmebutthurtlaborlovers
  20. generally they wont negotiate one dollar on purchase price when they advertise super low interest rates, i know honda while ago had a deal on finance but it was a 50% up front payment like if you go 50% of the cars value available to you pretty sure 3% finance isnt that important. also my mates got bmw full circle so you get a guaranteed amount for the car in 3 years or whatever but you gotta to less then a set amount of kms per year and dealer service etc. always a catch.
  21. got my best return in years this year.
  22. hr are glorified receptionists.
