  5. Yeah it's not nissan... it's powermax, just as good in my opinion... wouldn't have a clue on install, probably depends on location... I suppose if ur in Sydney tweakit would do a deal if ur buying the parts through them...
  6. Depends what you want... Starts at 1. Gates Racing Timing Tensioner Kit (includes belt, Idler and Seals) 2. 6x NGK Iridium Plugs 3. Oil Filter $495 + Water pump $80 so about $600 delivered... Non genuine parts...

  8. Agreed, your up for min 12 - 15k + auto to man conversion - 3k??? good suspension - 2k I'd sell your car and buy one with the basic mods, suspension, exhaust etc, start from there you'll save 3K and the time and effort that goes into doing this stuff...
  9. well it would pay to decide auto or manual early as you'd need to buy a bigger stall converter anyway... also 300Kw wont kill an RB, 300kw and abusing an RB will... something else to think about when ur done is water/meth injection... I'm up to that now...
  10. Look below... change names and that to suit ur desire but its basically what you need... You could change the Haltech to a PFC to keep the cost down... GT35 could go to GT30 if you only want 300KW and less lag Biggest cost saver is to do all the research yourself and hunt for good deals(site sponsors are pretty good) I'd recommend 6boost to buy turbo and gate... Also you have to think of supporting mods like clutch and diff if needed (i just re-shimmed my standard...) edit: You also wouldn't need 800cc injectors...
  11. i say yes... if you get distracted by a cross or some flowers you need to learn to pay more attention to the road... It's like seeing an attractive female walking on the side of the road, it's ur choice to look, if u crash you can't blame her...
  12. do u have steam out the exhaust?? i'd still do a compression test to be sure...
  13. Yeah i was looking at on from coolingmist or full-throttle.com.au... Is there an aus supplier for coolingmist?? Don't know whether to go for there trunk mount kit or custom tank... i think a tank with baffles and trap doors would be better for circuit work...

  15. get your compression checked... My step father just had a problem on his EH with RB30ET in it, First real drive and it blew the head gasket, once we opened it up it had obviously happened before he got the motor, All the bore had rust marks on it and starting to pit... the mechanic was telling him it would be alright because it was only 2 cylinders down and only 15psi... Also check ur oil, if it's milky ur getting coolant into ur oil...
  16. i had an ebay 1 and it had a vacuum leak and coolant leak, I bought a 2nd hand greddy for 600 delivered...

  19. Found out the pistons are Hypatecs i can only find a little bit of info, but looks like the range form 7.5:1 - 8.3:1 My guess would be that it's got the 8.3:1 Don't know what size gasket to use now...

  21. Depends on what boost you wanna run... The less boost the bigger the Wastegate (You are by-passing more exhaust gas to keep the boost low, therefore needs to be bigger)...
  22. you would need to change floor pans or mod ur existing one for the AWD gearbox, Also u'll need to change sumps, I thought about it but decided that it would be easier to buy a GTS4 or GTR...
  23. we're putting an RB30+T in my step dads EH at the moment... Engine mounts we're piss easy... He's using the RB30 box till it blows, then going RB25 The wiring is probably the most time consuming part... We took the eh for a drive the other day (finally ready after about a 4yr ground up rebuild...) and head gasket blew... got the head off now...
  24. like 2lv8etr said then brake cleaner might be better... i'd try degreaser first and use a stiff brush... i used a steel wheel brush on my step dads turbo... worked good... (only did exhaust side)
  25. Degreaser, whats on it that you wanna clean off?? if u wanna get the black soot of it and degreaser doesn't work use carby cleaner...
