  1. sand was too soft, did it many times before but this time just didn't check the sand before going up. sunk in and just rolled on itself. pretty nasty drop, but the roll cage kept us nicely inside.
  2. meh i guess. still pretty gay i say pics uploaded
  3. that's ultra gay so i paid $1100 for 2 months of coverage, f*ckin insurance company. im gonna call at lunch and sort this out and no im not posting pics
  4. really? so even if u crash and write off ur car after 2 months u gotta pay for the whole year? i know this is the case during the cooling-off period. so even if you dont buy another car for 10 months or if u go with another insurance company u still gotta pay for the 10 months? doesn't sound right to me. cooooome on lunch time so i can call!!!
  5. i know, 2 months exactly from buying it to towing it :-( was a great car too im gonna blow up at allianz if i dont get my premium back, thats bs so if i wreck my car after 2 months i get nothing but if i wreck my car after 11 months i still get nothing back. hmmmmm sounds fishy to me, makes me wonder how pay-by-the-month works out then, does someone have to pay the remaining 10 months of insurance i dont think so. im gonna give em a call and get them to explain about this.
  6. thats ghey, ill offer them treifitteh on another note, i paid my insurance 2 months ago exactly in full totaling $1100. My excess is now $1000 sooo does that mean give or take 2 months from the 12 month contract, most of the un-used insurance will fund the excess? im assuming so, it'll be like cancelling your insurance after 2 months of coverage.
  7. Hi all It's been about 2 weeks and Allianz still hasnt got back to me soooo i was wondering if someone has been in the same situation (hopefully with allianz) and they can advise me on whats the case. basically I rolled my jeep (not fun) and it has been declared a write off (by the smash repair, not officially by the insurance company because their lazy and haven't gone around to check it yet). Anyways, i've got a fair few parts on this car that would go to waste, example new soft top roof, old man emu suspension and some big tyres which were all installed just weeks before my accident. i was wondering if: a) i was able to rock up and just take these parts from the smash repair place b) offer to buy the jeep wrangler back from insurance (if so is this expensive) if anyone has been in a similar situation and can shed some light that'll be great. many thanks. PS. roll bars FTW!!!
  8. wonder if anyone from the newcastle area has seen my old car about? plates FR33SM???
  9. thanks for that ^^^^ but i bought myself another car instead
  10. there's a whole caravan park only walking distance away from miranda westfield.
  11. i dont understand ive parked my car (including my old skyline) there many many times and ever had a problem, if anything, i actually feel safer knowing the car was at miranda then when i had to park at Sylvannia. i think we need to cut the shire away from mainland Australia and just let it float out to sea cause its such a nice area surrounded some of the crappiest areas in sydney.
  12. the game wasn't as good as i hope'd it would be. the music is fan-f*cking-tastic though. i still got my civic as a drag car its doing high 11s with hardly any mods
  13. those costs might be a direct percentage because the car you purchased was quite expensive (eg. kinda like our stamp duty where its 3% or something of the purchase price). Nevertheless there are some stageas on that website which seem to be in "good" condition with 60000 odd kms on it for approx $8-9k. ill ask perhaps my mates dad next time we speak and he'll advise me on exactly how much it might end up costing once all the bs taxes are counted. cheers for your input.
  14. http://www.tradecarview.com/stock/japan_ca...d=2004&pn=1 thats one website for example. i know the money is in US but our dollar is good now so its only a couple grand more.
  15. Hi, just a quick question. Whilst sites like Prestige Motorsport can sell you a nice shiny Stagea for approx $35k, I have seen these go for sale in Japan for approx $10k. Now, basically what I need to know is if you were able to provide details to an importer (my mates dad has his own business) and the type of car and the budget you were after, does that mean you can basically have a 2002 M35 stagea for the initial $10k and whatever is on top (compliance, transport, etc.)? It just seems a lil too good to be true in finding a newish car with only approx 40,000kms on it for around 10k. Lets say that worst case scenario you run into a few difficult situations and all up the cost comes up to around $18k, from car in Japan to car in your driveway, then you would have bought a very nice turbo wagon for $18k while other companies might offer you mid to late $30k to buy one out right. Is that basically how importing works? Many thanks!
  16. hey mate i sold mine which were like new for $100 these series 1 seats dont go for much. good luck though.
  17. i remembered when that guy had a turbo swift GTi running 11s on street tyres. can't imagine wat crazy number this GTR is doing now
  18. i got pulled up a few months ago and the young cop went over my car saying "seats are $600 and 4 points, BOV is $200 and 2 points" etc etc etc, then he goes "i could have your license gone in one go but ill let you go", yet ive never been done for speeding and i consider myself a fan of safe driving. i just think its bs how last night i had to give way to a BA XR8 falcon otherwise he would have smashed into a parked car on the left, yet if i have a few mods but drive sensibly then i lose my license while bogans in falcons keep driving their so called "sport sedans" like p0rn stars. blahh, can't wait till the new GTR comes out then i wont have to worry about modifying factory 0-100 in 3.3 ill be up for that
  19. spotted RUFGTR yesterday at sans souci sounded awsum.
  20. BUMP Auction finishes tomorrow. already have a few people watching and 2 bids!
  21. Item: HOLUX GPS USB Receiver Age: about a year old Condition: used but as new Price: $80 Location: Sutherland, NSW Contact: PM Comments: GPS HOLUX GR-213 CARPUTER RECEIVER You're looking at a used GPS Holux receiver that I bought approx 1 year ago. Originally used in a carputer with the receiver running on a laptop under the car seat but this has since been removed. No longer needed. Would be ideal for someone looking to start their carputer project. The reception using this receiver is incredible, picking up atleast 11 out of the 13 satellites everytime. The software that comes with this receiver is called NavElite. It does contain 2004 maps however because this receiver plugs in via USB I'm more than certain you can download alternative newer software to work with this receiver. Start bidding or Buy it Now for $80. If you choose to Buy it Now I will include free postage, otherwise costs are $7.50 Australia wide. Sorry no pickups. For more information regarding the product please visit: http://www.holux.com/JCore/en/products/pro...ent.jsp?pno=127 Currently on eBay so you can have a looky there for more pics: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...E:IT&ih=005 FREE POSTAGE TO SAU_STATE MEMBERS (eg. 22. typical yanks. throw a 7L engine into a car that doesn't handle, but somehow we still rock! the new corvette is the only vet thats been able to take a turn at speeds more than 10km/h. even in Grand Turismo 2 and 3, no one drives a corvette they SUCK!
  23. Sometimes full comp just isn't worth it. This was the latest quote i got. Justcar full comp insurance: Car covered for: $15000 Rate per year: $2300 Excess: $2700 Justcar 3rd party + fire and theft: Car covered for: $10000 Rate per year: $600 Excess: $1000 Who are the real car thieves?
