ok i got a rb20 that revs at 2000rpm on idle and wont come down. Iv swaped the AAC unit over with another one still no change and adjusted the screw no change. however if i unplug the AAC unit the revs will drop down, but in about 1min later it goes back up too 2000rpm again. Iv checked for vac leaks and there are none. any ideas??? Cheers Steve.

did u notice any noise with the worn bearings in the turbo?

*some one said i could of f*kd a oil seal in the turbo and that could be causing excess pressure.

OK yesterday went out drifting and came off the track to find out there is oil coming from my pod filter and lots of smoke when on boost. sounds to me that is blow-by, "worn rings" but i was not sure cause there is no smoke if you dont hit boost. I was able to drive home and did not touch boost once and had no smoke and no oil leak out. The car has not lost any power still going as hard , its idling fine and running smoothly. Any suggestions what it could be?
