  1. Hi Guys, Ive got a HKS twin plate in mine and before i read this article i though i was the only one who used to stall it.... As for the friction point is right up the top. WRXHOON, with the 12mm nut i take that off and do i turn the shaft clockwise or anti-clock wise........sorry if this was a silly question....

  3. Hi Guys, Its almost impossible to find parts for an Autech R33 GTR which is a 4door R33 GTR. What im looking for is stuff like front and rear quarter panels, side skirts and rear pods and spoiler since the GTR Guards are wider. Ive also had a look on the Japan Impul Website and like the look of the Impul LA33 Sedan on the website. Ive even tried to call impul from australia but unforunately no one there speaks english. So is there anyone in Japan that can help me get some of this stuff, im looking for genuine original parts. Lemme know Rj

  5. Sorry Jet32r, thats one beast of a car but im really after a 33gtr possibly a vspec. Steve, will post up pic on the weekend. Love the look of the 33gtr's for some reason espically the series 3's, but either way thanks for the replies guys and keep them replies coming Rj
  6. Hi Guys, I currently have an 1996 R33 GTST 4 door sedan(which used to be my old mans) with an rb26dett engine conversion and r34 gtt manual gear box in the car. The rb26 has got the following done before the engine was put into the car. HKS Stage 1 Cams (which havent been dialled in) ARC pistons Eagle Conrods N1 Oil pump DBA Slottered Disks Modified rb26 sump for the RWD ARC(i think) metal head gasket. R33 Stock Turbos on Stock Boost 3.5 inch Kakimoto Exhaust 3.5 inch High Flow Cat 3.5 inch Dump pipes Apexi Pods The car has only done now 2500kms after the conversion and also has a HKS Twin Plate Clutch with plenty of meat on it. What I'm after im looking for are people out there who are thinking about getting rid of their GTR's (1997 or upwards and il put some cash your way towards the GTR) and swapping for another family sedan, possibly a r33 4 door with an rb26 conversion......... Anyway lemme know, i got the feel of the wheel spin but now i want the G-force.... Around about figure im lookin for is around the $22,000 mark, from the work ive done on the car. Havent dyno'd it as yet but the mechanic anticipates it puts out about 220rwkw +..... and thats with Stock boost and the Cams not dialled in as yet. I havent had a chance to change the engine no at the rta either since ive been interstate The only other thing i can think of is that its got a little bit of hail damage from when my old man was driving it. Ive really treasured my pride and joy but now i want something a bit different..... Lemme know, im happy to negotiate. Rj More pics added
  7. hi guys thanks for the replies, he did do a squish test before putting on the bottom end bearings and they all fell through under the correct measurements..... il talk to the mechanic and see what he has to say about sending it to another shop but if the squish test came out fine, then the crank would have been measured and re-machined correctly right???   8. Guys and gals My rb26dett is really starting to give me the shits, to give u a little history. The engine got rebuilt wif aftermarket pistons, conrods, bottom end bearings, jun oil pump and hks stage 1 cams. Ran the engine in for the and took the car in for the 1500kms service to change the oil. After the oil change i took it for a test drive near the mechanic shops and gave it a good boot and as i slowed down realised i blew a bottom end bearing on piston 1, which left me confused. I remember when i got the car back to the mechanic shop the oil pressure was still high. Out came the engine again the crank got sent away to get machined, all parts got put back together started the car and oil pressure was really low and the jun oil pump had a bit of play. Out came the engine again and replaced the jun oil pump with an N1 oil pump, put it back in and the friken oil pressure is still not holding. We've tried different oil pressure guages, oil pressure sensor but the oil pressure does not wana stay up. Engine is out again......its certainly got me and the mechanic baffeled not knowing whats causing this. All up the car has been off the road for over a month, so please any help will be good. Is there somewhere we should be looking for a blockage, the oil pressure is sitting on the first line on the oil guage and when you rev the car it sits just under 4...... Please help, i miss my car.............
  9. Hi Guys and Gals, Lets start off with the issue im having. When i rev the car and let go off the accelerator the car drops rpm (as it normally would) till about 1500 rpm and then goes all the way down to nearly turning off and sometimes just manages to stay on and then come back to normal idle or just turns off...... Second issue is with the new n1 oil pump in the oil pressure stays on the line between 0 and 4 (impressuming 2) when the car is idling and when you rev it, the guage just goes upto just under 4 at normal temp and just above 4 when cold. I presumed that the n1 oil pump should be putting out more oil pressure???? Thoughts?? The car has an rb26dett in it. Mods are 3inch full exhaust, bov(dont ask me wat brand, some japanese brand written in jap), hks pods, n1 oil pump & hks stage 1 cams. We had to rip out the engine coz the car lost oil pressure so i put in the n1 oil pump and when we started it back up the above mentioned problem is happening. Cars still at the mechanics shop Any ideas....... Please help Rj
  10. Hi People, I just got a conversion done on my car from auto to manual but now i got some more problems. The rear demister wont turn on. My reverse lights wont turn on Any ideas on how to sort this out or where to start looking. I also changed my antenna in the car when i got it back and from what Im reading on other posts its that little thing that Ive got to remove to get to the antenna. What ive also noticed is that the antenna is now not going up at all. Just stays down. Il check the fuses tonight but other than that is there anything else i need to look at seeing that my antenna doesnt work either.... Rj

  12. Hi Guys Just finished the manual conversion on the car but cant get the reverse lights to come on when i select the reverse gear. Any ideas on what I need to do to solve this problem. The box is out of an r34gtt. Rj

  14. Sorry to barge in here but on the topic of an engineers cert, vic roads only has selected engineers that we can use to get these certs. Anyone had any experiences with them. Are they really picky on stuff or how does it work???

  16. Hi Guys and Gals, Just wanted to know if an r33 coupe and sedan had the same length tail shaft. Im doing a conversion on my r33 sedan and the mechanic tells me that the tail shaft lengths for the sedan and coupe differs. Can anyone confirm this and if it is so is anyone wrecking a manual sedan??? Rj
  17. Snow mode is one way - but i think it restricts your speed. Y do u want to lock it in second anyway
