MATE i'm an engineer and do a hell of a lot more when it comes to structures, and cutting that size hole in the car IS F U C K all. After doing some simple calcs, if at 60 the car was to impact a solid wall, taking the stress and strain modulous of steel and some basic geometry, the differance in the hole there and not there was 0.0045%. THE HOLE DOES NOTHING FOR THE CARS STRUCTURE. If you hack up the hole they you do introduce a stress point in the car, yess agreed, but the difference is insignificant. TRUST ME. All an engineer is going to do is tell you to weld a ring arround it to minimise the possability of a stress fracture accuring in that spot. NOW if you ahve a stress fracture that accurs at that point, you have a lot more to worry about as there is more underlying problems with the car.

bull shit it is legal, cops just don't know what they are on about. You are not cutting a hole int a structual member it is a guard, not the crossmemeber or chassy, therofr it is legal, but you will get pulle dup on it, and have to do a lot of explaining. I am a mechanical engineer and have been pulled over before and had to argue and go to cort, IT IS LEGAL as long as it is not a structual component, and the hole in the guard is not structual.

well it look slike we have the same problem. I was going to try the seocn knock wire and see if maybe the knock sensor is funny.

No idea how the side duct worked, the guy to contact is Jay95R33 he is the original owner of the templates. But i suppose he just cut the hole and the air came in from there.

hay most of us thrash cars, but it depends how you do it. Some people are just plain rough. YEAH make sure you check out any car before you buy it.

well mine goes down allright, all the way to 5 or so. BUT only after i have restarted it after 5 minuts or so.

does anyone have any details in regards to the cruise on Sunday for the Youth Suercide?

I tired this but could not get teh light to fire. What i did was got an old leed and made and extension peace, i took of the first coil, pluged up the leed connected that to the spark so it owuld still run and used the leed as the pickup to triger the light. Works well this way.

I used the old hole form the stock IC, you can see it in one of the pics. There is a 2.5" pvc pipe that runs form there to the front bar, and picks up cold air form the front of the car. You could easily use a stock snorkel and plum that inot the side of the box at the top, but i didn't have one. If you are looking at the pics of the white car, the orignal template pics, he made a hole in the front fender to duct in air. I didn't do this as i already had a hole. BEST thing if you have a stock snorkel, use that to supply the cold air into the box. EDIT: I can't spell at ALLLLLL

if you can do most of the work yourself, and buy the parts cheep, then it is cheper to rebuild to OEM spec, but i would look at forgie and so forth. For 2K you can get a good engine setup.

i got a series 2 and running 15 deg advance. Mine is tuned for that, but i don't really know why you would advance it to 22 without any tests. Maybe your detonating the engine or something. wind it back to 15, go for a drive and have a look see.

Here is teh templates and some instructions as i recived them from the original maker. I do not take credit for these. MY design is slightly different, in that i made brackets up to hold the side part of the box, and some brackets to screw the top down into. Like i said i made mine as i went along, but the template is a good base to start with.
