i know your pain, my unit is up 15 or stairs, the posty cant be bothered to go up these stairs most days and get my GF whos home most days to sign for my stuff, so i drive down in my own time to the post office, oh no sorry sir the postys a new one and accidenally took your parcel to the next post office... ... would you like us to get it delivered here tomorrow for you to pick up or do you mind going there to get it... i used to clock 56 sec laps in my datto that was relatively stock, the fastest lap record is by a completely insane S1 RX7 thats full racecar spec of like 41 secs or faster. Best car to take that track in would something small and light which is why the clubmans and RX7s do so well. a skyline will not be suited to the track as theres not much straight at all and lots of negative camber corners so understeer claims many as well as hardcore braking on the downhill followed by negative corner, you can get mad sideways on it but its tricky. Youll have fun but a 'line will be too heavy i think, a 200 on the other hand... EDIT: should mention i started off getting 65 sec laps and took me a while to cut it down 10 secs...

going to take photos tonight for a proper quote fom J Racing and David Hand. Both can do it by christmas so i spose it comes down to price.

thats something else that grinds my gears. posers. people who have rubbish cars but put stickers, chromies and fake shit on it to make it try and resemble something that could possibly be considered mildly ok. take the above example, anyone with half a brain and knows cars will know its fake, people who dont know cars will go WTF is that weird POS? car people i know have respect for other peoples cars, they will ask before leaning on your car but never put stuff on it. no smoking/eating in cars, drinking is but only if approved by driver, no yelling or signs (just makes you look dumb anyways.) Its the NON car enthusiasts that are my problem, fingers/HANDS on windows, keys on roof... i go off and especially when my cars back from the shop with a new spray anyone who comes near it with food/keys etc is getting a kick in the face. At least i have paint scratch and dent insurance on all vertical panels...

I used to do it. Did it for 12 months in my datsun, and ill be doing it again once its finished. It is good fun but you really only get 3-4 laps for the whole day which makes it a bit avg. It is EXCELLENT on wet days and the show offs are there or when the RENESIS team are there. Dont ever do the hillclimb track at wakefield it is _SHIT_ with a capital everything. They have basic scrutineering but as long as you have a fire extinguisher mounted in your cabin within arms reach, say infront of you seat or passenger side tranny tunnel or somthing, a CAMS Approved helmet AND CAMS S2 license AND club membship then you can race. You cant just come in off the street and race. Having said all that, the lap's are properly timed and they have firies and everything there, its run very professionally and is a good day out.

Went to see Jerry yesterday arvo, might piss you off a bit Style but he said he could start on mine next week coz i have all the parts and its ready to rock and roll. Am investigating other avenues with current fella though too.

my datto revs to 9k but doesnt make good power until after 4.5k. Its a combo of bore/stroke, if id stayed 1.6L i couldve made 10k revs but it doesnt offer any benfit to 9k in the 1.8L. doesnt bother me as its for track/hillclimb where you revs its arse off all day but itd sauck to drive all day around town.

ah shit.... I havent paid anything and only went to this shop and not J Racing as they do business with some mates and i got a VERY cheap price. Its been there since april and last part was delivered by me personally prolly 2 months ago, it was only discovered i needed it 2 months and 1 week ago... I was told end of Nov but ill believe it when im driving it away... im going to send Jerry some pics of my car where its at now and see what he wants to finish it. He makes good excuses but as far as i can see, cars come and go and mine stays where it is and it shits me to tears. I think if you and I go together to get something sorted we'd have a better chance, i go EVERY thursday arvo to check on it.
