Same ive pritty much had my system designed in my head for the last year. just been waiting to get the car to put it in

Well im not stupid so a retune is of course needed. My other car is known for its need for a tune. XR6 Turbo you pritty much can't change a thing with out it needing a tune

dont know if i could put up with lack of power for the next 18 months probably wanna spend no more than $800

Im looking for a reasonably cheap turbo upgrade for my car. I dont wanna spend stupid amounts of money at the moment as I plan on building up an engine next year and will purchase a dicent turbo then. Just want something to give my rb20 alittle more go for the next year. Has any one used these ebay special turbos and top mount manifolds? What would you reccomend i get? Have you got one that died pritty easily?

I was just going to make some brackets and stick it there. But then i saw someone that took the cover off the lcd plastic welded it to the dash surround. Looked awsome after a coat of paint also looked like it belonged there not just slapped in

WHat do you rekon the best way of fusing the dash and the screen? A bit of plastic welding and putty or fibre glass?

Nah no effort at all. Dash modification will be easy have done a few before. Moving the aircon control was easy will look better with the LCD up higher. Have decided to go the built in LCD panel as it looks alot classier than the pop out screen. I have been programming since I was 8 so the engine monitoring software will be pritty simple. Engine sensors are easy to read thanks to a simple USB device that reads voltage levels. Will need to connect a map sensor to read boost in. Simple as. Hopefully be installing the monitor this weekend. And will put the carput together aswell. Then will have to wait for my USB device to arrive then the fun starts

Picked up my self a 1990 r32 gtst a week ago and have been having a play. Modified the dash a bit. Moved the aircon controls to the bottom. In the 2din space above plan to install either a new head unit and foldout vga touchscreen or flush mount a vga touchscreen in the space and a new head unit where the ash tray is. After that is done will be installing a simple PC and hooking it up to the ECU with some voltage sensors. Will then be able to setup digital gauges and data logging. Will be writing the software my self and will probably include a media playing in it. Anyone wanting to do something similar? Will have some software done soon if u wanna have a go aswell. Will be great for road tuning due to the data logging

I did use the search and have been reading up on what other people did for the last week. THen this shop just confuses the issue. If I had a budget of $1000 what would be the best to get?

it wasnt a wrecker it was a well know nissan performance shop. I didnt think whats they said was right. They said a rb25 turbo wouldn't be much of an upgrade as its pritty much the same turbo as the rb20 turbo. Don't really trust what they say now. What turbo would you reccomend for a rb20? im looking for aslittle lag as possable that will also work well with an rb25 budget around $1000 want to make around 200rwkw. THen in about a years time will be either building a stroked rb20 or sapping in an rb25

bloody bastards were probably trying to off load a $600 turbo on me that no one else wanted How bout hooking up another rb20 turbo to the waste gate of the one on there

I rang an importer today asking if they had any R25 turbos in stock. They advised me they didnt have any in stock and that this is a worthless upgrade on an RB20. They did however have some GTR turbos in stock for $600 each and said these would bolt on no problems and would be a great upgrade for the 2L. I want alittle extra power but I dont want to spend too much as im planning on an engine swap next year. What turbo upgrade is the best to do and under $600 for the turbo?

What were the spool up times on your car. Wanna know how much lag when on an rb20
