  1. im running a kkr480 atm on my rb25det ive got the option to bolt on a hks 2530 turbo would this be worth doing? kinda mixed up and not sure what to do its genuine HKS item.

  3. only issues i had racing was gettin outta the hole. best run was 13.3 and that was a 2.2 60ft rest were around 2.4 60ft cause i dont see fullboost until around 4500rpm i jumped in my mates STOCK 33 with intercooler and 3" exhaust and ran a 13.5 @ 102mph on 10psi and bald 17" tyres and 2.1 60ft the racing started at 5pm and went to 10pm so it was nite time and yeah air was nice and cool...
  4. turbo was brand new before putting it on the car, its done about 7000kms so far. well most of your basic r33's with cooler/exhaust/fuel pump/reg/powerfc all run up around 195-200rwkw. there is 1 other 33 that has plenum,bigger injectors,ebay t3/t4 turbo/himount exhaust manifold etc and only rolls up 200rwkw @ 1bar.. but then on a dyno in brissy " Milanco performance " he rolled up 315rwhp big difference compared to 260rwhp.. but my 108mph indicates i aint making over 200kw anyways? im sure u wouldnt need much more then that 2 run 108mph... heaps of twin turbo'd ls1s roll up over 400rwkw on the dyno so yeah i dunno lol it isnt the tuners fault its the car something isnt right... :S
  5. yes im running the factory bov vented, but if it was leaking wouldnt the boost drop off? it holds 19psi until redline
  6. cars running splitfire coilpacks, boost is smooth and hard and revs fine, just doesnt seem 2 make power? injectors r fine hey, he has done plenty of cars with them, mates 32 with rb25 has 400rwhp with same injectors there is just something with my car that doesnt like making power and i cant figure it out:S
  7. yes the injectors are stock items just shaved the tops off and new caps on i dont really have tuner options available around my area, closest would be brisbane and them tuners arent exactly cheap lol i dunno wot to do, im nearly tempted to go back 2 stock turbo which pulled 190rwkw before i done injectors and kkr turbo...hmmm
  8. cooler is only about 12 months old so i would assume condition is ok. boost holds 19psi until redline inlet pipe off the turbo to cooler is just 2.5inch mild steel same with otherside into tb. dyno graph below and pic of inlet pipe runs map sensor so dont need afm.
  9. its gettin nice afr's tuner made sure of that, like i said in the above post, tuner tried leaning it out and making it richer, adding timing and taking timing out, kept coming up with same figure. turbo should be good for 250rwkw.... its wot other ppl r making :S
  10. hey guys, would anyone out there know why my car wont make power? it came off the dyno yesterday and the most my tuner could pull was 213rwkw @ 1.2bar he tried everything, timing,fuel, spent 4hrs on it and still came up with same figure all the time... and yes car is gettin PLENTY of fuel..no shortage of fuel... mods are rb25det motor LINK ecu hiflowed injectors (around 700cc) walbro intank pump stock fuel reg kkr480 turbo .82 exh housing gktech intercooler kit 3" v band dumpipe 3" gutted cat 3" inlet canon on rear exceedy button clutch from what i can tell there is nothin there holding the car back from making power? me and the tuner are both stumbled as too why it wont make anymore power... it made 624nm torque and 213rwkw... last i checked kkr480 should make 250rwkw or around that? it was tuned on an older type of dyno... mainlain dyno i think they call it..so doesnt have fancy new software all these shootout dynonamic dynos have..but yeah anyone got any ideas? car was barely gettin any knock from the link and ran fine the whole tune but would NOT make power .... its got me stuffed.. was racing it fri nite at test n tune at benaraby and done 10 runs all 10 runs were between 13.3 and 13.6 @ 108mph...couldnt get it off line as its 2 laggy...but yeah... also car makes no power after 6000rpm its like dead revving.. i thought kkr480 would scream to 7000 specially with the .84 exh housing..
  11. i should have explained properly what i need to know is, can i use a rb20 or sr20 stock fuel reg to replace my broken rb25 fuel reg? im running 800cc injectors so i gather i dont need to upgrade to a sard rising rate one etc car goes in 4 final tune 2morrow thats all and im a fuel reg down and nowhere 2 find one:(
  12. my kkr480 runs about 19psi just off the actuator spring, u can adjust it softer and it will run less but it makes it more and more laggier mines makes 19psi by about 4200rpm

  14. yeah there isn't anything wrong with kkr turbos, mines the kkr480 its been on my car now for 4 months or there abouts and ive done 10,000kms on it at 19psi daily and its running fine. i also know alot of other r33s with the kkr430 turbo and they have had no problem at all.. so i wouldnt judge a brand on 1 turbo failure lol... my split pulse part has been die grinded out and it still wont run anything under 17psi..just a bad wastegate design.. ohwell..motor loves it..
  15. yeah looks like some sort of explosion has happened... doesnt look good at all... all the kkrs ive seen are still running good and no dramas with them..
  16. crank angel sensor its on the front of your cam covers, looks silver and stuff has a plug that goes into it:)
  17. that doesnt look good! im running kkr480 turbo aswell, run around about 1.3bar or 19psi daily thru it, but ive noticed mines water cooled and oil cooled..why is all the kkrs ive seen are only oil cooled? hmmmm
  18. speaking about cats, about 2 weeks ago i pulled my gutted 3" cat off and put a stock 3" cat back on that i bought from a member from sau.. only done it 2 try and quieting down the exhaust as its loud as.. but hmmm no sorry i dont have a dyno printout with afr's, but i can asure u its gettin clean afr's tuner only added around 5 degrees timing over standard,not sure how it works but thats wot was told to me wen i was watchin him, but link would pull out timing as soon as it gets 2 much knock.
  19. its running a full replacement ecu already LINK ecu. i think i need to get car redone by a person who knows link a bit better i think. hmmmm
  20. haha awsome man, your car still went alrite lol yeh i would launch at about 4000rpm and it would just bog and then lagg lagg then boost haha.. me and a mate were both racing my car, yeah that r33 went alrite then i would just reel him in top end... where r u guys from? gladstone?
  21. i raced 2 skylines there on the nite, a silver 33 with cooler exhaust etc and a r34 with same mods and i absolutely smashed them specially thru top end so i dunno wot the go is hey grrr my mate who ran 116mph he was hitting limiter in 4th going over the line, and last time it seen dyno it was around the 400rwhp mark
  22. im running kkr480 with link ecu and 600cc injectors dude, only rolled up 300hp cause intake temps to hot and tuner said he has knock control on and as he added timing link would pull it back out like 6 degrees at a time, i know my hp is down, but dyno readout is on a very old dyno, known to read low and has never been calibrated in the god know how many yrs its been there lol my mates r32 came up with me, he ran up 13.4 @ 116mph mind u traction was a joke, track had dirt and rocks all over it.. hmmm but like u said i was expecting around 110-111mph which is wot i was thinkin hmmm
  23. went to a test n tune last friday nite at benaraby best time managed was 13.318 @ 107.6mph (i thought a stock 33 with cooler/exhaust/ecu would get 108-110mph) hmmm 60ft was 2.2sec car was on dyno weekend b4 made just a tiny bit over 300rwhp car only hit 16.5psi all nite, i was hoping for over 110mph, maybe i should have dialed in a few more psi.. my mph seems down for my power? anyone?
  24. mate im positive my turbo is 480 its badge with it and come from otomoto, mine came with water fittings and oil fittings, it holds 19psi perfect thru the whole rev range loves that shit lol
  25. you sure u dont have the kkr430? lol 18psi by 3000rpm? with the .84 exh housing hmmm...find it hard 2 believe...
