  1. i had problems with diffs... getting a 5 bolt when my car was a 6 bolt etc. but all good now, got a new nismo 2-way in my ceffy. the kit all bolted on fine, except for the sideskirts, which i need to change the location of the bolt holes. but shes all good. ...now, to find some spare money
  2. homemade stainless steel pipes from each turbo back to end of car (Rb26 conversion) car should be up and running in a few months. Cheers for the Kit too konect
  3. got a ceffy with a cage, outlanding paint, external gate, sits on the ground...never been pulled up in it my S14 was the same. but my s13 had cops all over it, and so did my s5 rx-7
  4. will take 3 too i recon. maybe do a few different styles. the car/writing just the 'cefiroaustralia.com' and just the pic of the cefiro will take lots haha cheers phil
  5. if you can get the actual offsets im sure that'd help with the sale mate
  6. why would it be different? ive been running an RB20 PFC and has no problems, and just plugged in a 32 stock computer and is still running fine (minus all the fuel she spits back out due to still having the Z32 AFM hooked up
  7. also currently got the car stripped and most of the sound deadening removed. fitting a URAS kit and yet to decide on some wheels. but something with some stupid offsets. then the cars going in for the guards to be modified for the rims and get a full respray. not sure of colour yet however. anyway, hopefully will have the 'pig' up and running within a month or two
  8. obviously not enough i got a mates RB26 that he did a big end bearing for basically nothing cos he wanted to get rid of it before he moved. (also got some R34 N1s from him at the same time, but that cost money ). then called some workshops on rebuild kits, and they offered to swap the blown motor (minus turbos of course) for a good one out of a running car for 2k. pretty cheap in my opinion. also got a full loom etc in the deal. so all i need now is a PFC, RB25 box and a good tune and i should soon be out having some fun
  9. ive got an RB26 ready to drop into mine are my standards too high haha ??
  10. im coming over to thailand early next year (my missus mum is thai, and my missus half thai)...show me this workshop and road...and let me drive your ceffy haha. sounds like fun mate
  11. i suppose it also depends on the space in your front bumper. id just get a kit for an RB20 and modify its position from there, probabaly alot cheaper than getting a whole kit/core custom made
  12. dunno what brand, says nothing on the core, and it mounted on the drivers side of the car
  13. hah lol, didnt actually click on the pic, was thinking of another red ceffy id seen that had a wonder kit...and just assumed it was the same car
  14. looks like ive found a bottom end to do a basic RB26 rebuilt with stocko parts. will only be running 1 bar and 34 turbos but... also starting to do a 3 litre bottom end while i use the RB26 so when the 26 decides to let go again ill have a 3 litre bottom end waiting to bolt the head too! cheers guys
  15. condition of rods, pistons, crank if you have? cheers
  16. haha...er...a BOV wont blow out smoke. and that was nitros purging in 2F2F, which can be done when the car is idle... good luck with your GTR
  17. i wouldnt think the strengh would matter so much, using a forged bottom end, and the engine not having to rev so high to make power. also the fact that im only looking for tourqe and response for sliding a car around. and with a 3 litre bottom end im pretty sure i can retain low end tourqe and make a fair bit of power in the process. but of course im looking at both options at the moment. it just seems so frightingly expensive to rebuild an RB26 lol. although the engine has only done a big end bearing. he recons the crank is a little stuffed and will need new rods and pistons. so rebuilding the 26 with stock parts could be an option, as there is a set of rods/pistons and crank going for $400 in the classifieds, then just get new bearings and clean everything up. im sure it could be done on the cheap seeings as i dont plan on going with huge turbos. Phil
  18. wouldnt using a turbo bottom and with a 26 head create too low of a compression ratio? i wouldve thought running an NA bottom end with a turbo head wouldve provided a compression ratio close to 8.5 or so. anyway, my mind is almost made up, time to 3 litre the ceffy. going to the wreckers tomorrow and see how much i can pick up an RB30 for seems ALOT cheaper to do an RB30 bottom end than to simply rebuild the 26.
  19. so your saying, grab a VL bottom end, get a forged kit for it and wang the RB26 head onto it? is there a thread on going about doing this kind of modification and the tricks of getting it done? also what about the templates for all the oil/water pumps etc, are the mounting points the same? cheers for any info guys
  20. cheers for the info 'wrkhoon' ill consider those rods and pistons if i take the engine cheers
  21. interesting, the ones hes got are deffinetly steel wheel, but the exhaust housing says .48, which i thought was standard GTR rear housing, instead of .64 for an N1 specification. thanks for the info guys. also does anyone think that 2grand for the engine is a good price?
